Please describe your company and your position there.
Handling Concepts is an industry leader in material handling equipment. I'm a marketing executive and wanted to improve the performance of the website.
For what projects/services did your company hire Atomic Digital Marketing, and what were your goals?
We hired Atomic Digital Marketing for Google Page Speed Optimisation Service with the goal of decreasing our full load time to under 3 seconds and pushing out Google Page Insights score above 85+ for mobile and desktop.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We search for online site speed optimisers for Wordpress and Atomic Digital Marketing has both Google Ads and high organic ranking. Their website looked professional and very quickly pinpointed the key areas we want to work on. In particular it mention Google Page Speed Insights which is what we were looking to improve.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I submitted an enquiry to Atomic Marketing and mentioned we wanted to improve our Core Web Vitals. They came back and instantly told us exactly what they could do for us and guarantee certain deliverables which was exactly what we were looking for. They very quickly sent across the invoice and got to work within a day or two of payment. They promised to deliver within 10 working days and completed the work under this.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I communicated with Simon Thomas - Partner & Business Director
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our full load time was orginally 7.6 seconds and is now 1.9 seconds. GTMetrix was an F and is now an A. Google Page Speed Insight score for Mobile was 21 and 60 for Desktop these are now 91 for Mobile and 99 for Desktop. We have seen a 59% decrease in Bounce Rate and a 131% increase in session duration since the work was completed. We are very happy with the results and are already seeing the benefits.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Project management was only through email but we only needed a few emails back and forth to mange the project. We were told the project would be completed within 10 working days but they actually completed it before. and once they saw you I forwarded the invoice too they message them directly regarding anything payment wise.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Atomic Digital Marketing guarantees a certain result or your money back. This can be difficult to achieve and shows they have confidence in their skills. This sold the service to my directors immediately.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Everything was perfect and handled well. It would have been good to have a mid project update so we'd know if the project was going well.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the general manager of The Student Lawyer, a website for law students in the UK.
For what projects/services did your company hire Atomic Digital Marketing, and what were your goals?
We have recently secured advertising deals with a major company who commented on the fact that the website was very slow, and that it would likely affect our Google rankings. We enlisted the help of Atomic to help speed the site up from the 4+ second load time. Our goal was to make the page load speed as fast as we could get it.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have been using Atomic for several years and they are very responsive and cost-effective. Very nice too!
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The page speed optimization service took less than two weeks to complete and all happened behind the scenes. There was no disruption to the site, they just let me know when it was finished (ahead of schedule I should add!). Very happy!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Two.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After the page speed optimization service was complete (ahead of schedule I might add), our new rankings are 100% optimized on Pagespeed Insights and 99% optimized as per GTMetrix. The site loads completely in 0.8 seconds now which is a great improvement from 4 seconds+
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We communicate via email mainly and they are very fast and responsive. I am pleased with their communication style overall.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I have the very limited technical knowledge and they always explain things very well so that I understand the issues and what can be done to fix/meet goals.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a retired IT professional who helps manage a local real estate website infrastructure.
For what projects/services did your company hire , and what were your goals?
We noticed that Google was going to start downgrading search results if a website did not measure up to core web vitals, which is a simple way of saying our site needed a fast user experience. Our site ranked a 4 out of 100 using the PageSpeed insight tool.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We turned to our local web development consultant but they really didn't have the optimization experience so referred us to Atomic. As we highly respected our local dev's recommendation we went with Atomic after some email discussions.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Our team is in the US while Atomic is in the UK so we communicated by email. I outlined what we were looking to achieve via the PageSpeed score and asked a series of technical questions. Atomic wrote up a proposal and work guarantee and was also able to make the project start smoothly due to their own interactive website.
The key deliverable was a minimum 90 PageSpeed score both on mobile and desktop after optimization. As this was a WordPress website, some new plugins were deployed but much of the work was manual optimization of the underlying code via FTP access to the underlying website.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My point of contact was a single knowledgeable Atomic partner and business director who was able to translate the requirements to the Atomic development team as well as report back to me.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The new PageSpeed score is 94 on Mobile and 100 on desktop. The site is much, much faster and therefore more user friendly. Our business has a large dependency on our website so this is extremely welcome.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
While this was a fairly simply project the first thing I noticed was how easily it was to get things started via their website management & payment system. Email was the primary communication tool and I found them very responsive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What is impressive and even unique about the company is that they are able to specialize in the kind of website optimization that specifically targets the new Google approach coming May 2021 to website ranking.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
As this was a short project I never really ran into any areas where I could see improvement might be possible of differently. As a former developer familiar with the development process but now retired, I'm very satisfied with the results.

Please describe your company and your position there.
My name is Richard Sedden, Founder & managing director at BeautGenics.
For what projects/services did your company hire Atomic Digital Marketing, and what were your goals?
The eyelash industry was in a bit of rut due to COVID and our previously profitable campaigns had dropped in performance as a result. We tasked Atomic with not only completely revamping our campaigns, ad account and branding, but also had them completely overhaul our website in accordance with new brand guidelines and look and feel to get us prepared for when the market opens up again.
How did you select Atomic Digital Marketing and what were the deciding factors?
I found Atomic through Google Search initially and verified their legitimacy and performance through Clutch reviews actually.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
As mentioned above, this was primarily a PPC restructuring and revamp with a huge Web Design overhaul. I work a couple of jobs and so I let them know what I wanted to achieve and they simply cracked on, keeping me updated along the way. I was very happy with what they came up with on all fronts: branding, PPC and Web Design. The website now looks infinitely better, much more professional and core metrics like bounce rates, exit rates and time of page have improved significantly.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There was around 4 in total I believe. The founder was heavily involved with his experience with Startups to help get our business off the ground and to provide a foundation. In addition to that, their graphic designer, PPC guy and web developers all helped out. My account manager however was fantastic whose name was Simon and managed everything for the most part.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The feedback from our existing repeat client base has been outstanding. They loved the new look and feel of the brand and I now feel ready to begin pushing this business once the market opens up again, hopefully after lockdown and people begin buying eyelashes again.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
They gave me full access to a platform for tracking tasks, project, time spent on tasks, and billing. It was extremely handy being able to see how much my monthly bill was going to come to.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their personable approach, attention to detail and dedication to my business. I didn't think I'd ever get the dedication I received and assumed all agencies would do the bare minimum - this absolutely was not the case with Atomic.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing that all. I can't wait for the market to open up and to begin investing into PPC heavily and having Atomic help out.

I had no clue with regard to the system/design or anything behind my idea of setting up a real estate site and I went to Atomic very last minute. After a couple of calls to discuss requirements. It was all hands on deck from the outset and they managed to create the best system with a flawless design in no time.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the owner and founder of Coco & Clementine - a small business that specialises in bespoke, personalised, upcycled furniture and homeware. I turn old, unwanted or damaged vintage/antique furniture and transform it into something completely different- unique, customised and bespoke. I undertake commissions for both personal and commercial clients in the UK, as well as designing and selling my own pieces.
For what projects/services did your company hire Atomic Digital Marketing?
To design my website from scratch. They also offered a package that included ongoing website maintenance and updates. I needed a business website with strong aesthetic appeal, to showcase my work, also features such as a blog, gallery, shop area (with complex shipping requirements), testimonials etc.
What were your goals for this project?
Increased visibility, a bigger business profile, the ability to sell through my own website, a way to connect with my followers (eg blog), a centralised location that visually demonstrates what my business is about and the services I offer.
How did you select Atomic Digital Marketing?
I approached several different agencies. Atomic stood out from the start - they offered a very comprehensive package, they were very intuitive in understanding what I needed and how important the aesthetic element was. They asked lots of questions about what I was after and what was important to me to ensure a successful outcome.
Describe the project in detail.
We started with an initial Q&A which was then developed into a detailed brief. Communication was excellent - the design proposal was very comprehensive so I felt confident that they understood what I needed - a brand new, visually strong website with many different functions. I also needed support with ongoing maintenance and subsequent training to ensure I could update my website as required independently.
What was the team composition?
My main contact was the Project Manager who liaised with the website designers as the project was in development.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I have received very positive feedback about my website. It has exactly the aesthetic and functionality I was after. I now have a much more significant online presence.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was excellent and replies. queries etc were dealt with and followed up with amazing speed. Atomic were excellent about dealing with challenges, edits and changes as they arose. They approached problem solving with a really positive attitude.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
- Very intuitive - listened to me and asked excellent questions to ensure the initial proposal was comprehensive and addressed my requirements.
- Adaptability and flexibility - they were fantastic when challenges or problems arose and dealt with them really well.
- Communication - this was excellent throughout.
- Approachability - always friendly and approachable. Nothing seemed like too much trouble.
- Design skills - they produced pretty much exactly what I had in my head! Pricing - the package was very good value.
- Ongoing maintenance - they provided an excellent ongoing support package.
- Training - they trained me up with the skills to manage updates myself.
Are there any areas for improvement?
It perhaps took a little longer than we initially envisaged but, to be fair, I always emphasised that speed was not an issue and I would rather have an excellent website that took longer to complete - and I am very happy with the finished product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Outcomes have all been positive, I did take a small break from my work, but still got hits on my website. It currently needs updating and refreshing and atomic have just taken that under their belts. Ive got work from the site so in my opinion thats what I wanted and thats what I got.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
I would say that the team are busy but the work Ive asked to be done is currently being updated as I write this and I only asked for this to be done last week. Although I know they are busy they are in constant contact with me.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As I small company I felt they understood my needs, even though they deal with larger companies I found them approachable. I liked their youthful approach to business, and I was impressed with their understanding of the markets even mine.
They are not pushy or condescending they know my weakness in tech and at no point did I feel less intelligent for it. I felt respected and held..
Are there any areas for improvement?
I believe they are building up their reputation and see this team of people going from strength to strength and leading the marked in site building and managing their work. I can't comment on any improvements but wish them every success.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We’re an all-new sports coaching website that uses AR to benefit the learning. We’re currently setting up an online platform for users to find the perfect coach. The second stage will be introducing the AR.
For what projects/services did your company hire Atomic Digital Marketing?
The services I’m using from atomic is strategic consulting, PPC, organic social, paid social and both social content / website content.
What were your goals for this project?
Goals were to be introduced into digital marketing, understand from the view what needs to be done, budget accordingly to the current market and get the product ready for launch. After that, make sure we’re consistently reinvesting and thinking of new ways to market.
How did you select this vendor?
I saw them online on the top 10 digital marketing companies in Manchester. I dropped them an email and received a call the following day.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Before I selected the vendor, they offered there services to help me feel more at ease with digital marketing, explained what there strategy would be and explained the goals for them and us. This helped build trust, as most companies would charge for this and they actually provided the reasoning behind there decisions using google key words which was pretty cool. Once I agreed on them, we set up regularly meeting, they call me to help with setting up, they use Trello to organise sprints and just generally there super organised and happy to help.
What was the team composition?
Unbelievable. There honest, great communicators, will offer you alternatives (not there business) if it’s something which could help with cost - although so far the costing has been excellent.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since the start, we have nearly got all the tasks complete before launch. The test will be when it launches, so will be exciting to see how that goes.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Matt and Simon are very good at communicating. If you need anything, drop them a call and they’ll answer. They use Trello which is a great tool. Easy to organise sprints, ask questions and get work done.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I'm generally impressed with there honesty. It’s hard to find a company where you don’t think you’re being ripped off. These guys explain the costing, will help you if you don’t have enough budget for a certain thing. They will explain there reasoning behind doing certain sprints. They offer strategic support without charging which really helps build a clearer picture. The other thing is they're innovative in their marketing style, very driven, and hopefully, this will reflect in the results.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No not yet. Fingers crossed it takes off.
