Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the promoter for Elauxy, a marketplace for international cosmetic and beauty products in India.
What challenge were you trying to address with Atlantiser®?
My partner and I decided to turn our surgical business into a beauty and cosmetics business with e-commerce and m-commerce support. We started a journey to bring international products to India because quality differs, and many consumers want authentic offshore products.
From there, we started developing our website project, and we approached multiple marketing and digital companies. We realized we didn’t have subject matter expertise and needed to develop our branding and marketing. Branding would give us an identity in the market and build trust with the customer, so we wanted a unique identity. We wanted to work slowly and steadily to ensure our brand’s longevity.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we met with Atlantiser for them to understand who we were and where we wanted to take our company. Then, they organized a diagnostic workshop to analyze our whole business idea and model. This workshop had a few corporate imperatives: what we brought to the market, what we wanted to give to consumers, and our plans.
Through a process of elimination, we arrived at our company’s meaning, our mission with customers, and how we want people to see our brand in the future. In the following week, Atlantiser presented us with a few name and logo options, and we gave our feedback. Eventually, we defined our logo, and the team wrote our logline and created business collateral for us.
After they finished the branding work, we enacted our complete digital transformation plan. We chose to use Shopify because it was a quick and easy way to enter the market. Atlantiser designed and developed our website. Our UI requirements focused on clarity, and the Atlantiser team worked on ease of use. We currently have 15 products from one brand in our catalog. The team added them to the website, enabling customers to order and pay. Atlantiser suggested we do product photography for the site. They also uploaded videos and added a feature to click on a product and see the video.
Additionally, the team has done API integrations. They've also crafted our go-to-market strategy. Currently, Atlantiser does website maintenance, takes care of the site’s uptime, and tracks analytics.
What is the team composition?
We started with 2–3 team members, and now we’re working with 7–10 people from Atlantiser, including designers and developers.
How did you come to work with Atlantiser®?
We did a lot of research and approached many leaders in the field. When discussing the project with these agencies, what they wanted to do was completely different from what we wanted. A few friends referred us to Atlantiser, so we approached them. We had two meetings with their team, and they immediately tried to understand us.
We found Atlantiser innovative, and their reviews were very good. Additionally, they weren’t costly. In the 2–3 days after we approached the team, it became clear that they understood our requirements.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent $15,000–$18,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Atlantiser created a fantastic UI that’s very appealing and user-friendly. The design is also unique and not copied from a template. Our customers can find what they want and make decisions quickly. The UX is so rich that our customers want to return to our site. So far, we’ve completed more than 50,000 business transactions, and our ROI is going in the right direction.
Additionally, we approached a few US and European suppliers and showed them our branding, and they were surprised by the high quality of Atlantiser’s work. When using different providers for different aspects of a business, it can be challenging to bring everything together into one platform. For this reason, Atlantiser is our end-to-end provider; they make sure our branding is in one language they can translate into a website or a digital marketing platform.
While other agencies tend to have one area of expertise, Atlantiser can adapt to any business needs and demands. As a bonus, their diagnostic workshop approach is fantastic. The team has provided good value for money. Even though people told me they were expensive, I don’t find them costly because their delivery is worth the price.
How did Atlantiser® perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve performed well in terms of project management. The team has distributed the project into 4–5 areas, and every week they determine the resources needed, from time and money to people and effort. Their expectation about what information they require from us is always very clear.
When we started the project, we pre-planned via email to define expectations. Then, we put the project into a calendar, and we created a WhatsApp group for small-scale communications. For more collaboration, we call them, and they’re very available. We track the project weekly and have a call every Friday. Atlantiser has done the entire project within our timeline better than expected.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with Atlantiser’s passion for design and innovation. The way they manage and maintain their team is also outstanding. I’ve seen many agencies that say something and then do something else. With Atlantiser, the team is very much synchronized with each other. They’re very clear, and they double-check the balances. Whatever they promise, they deliver on time.
Proactive communication is most important to me, and that’s a unique quality of Atlantiser’s. Often, agencies work at their own pace, give excuses, and even escalate. Meanwhile, Atlantiser is consistent, which is their key quality. This helps us streamline the project and take it to the next step; we’re always moving from one stage to another.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Atlantiser’s team is clear, so I would suggest you be open; nothing is good or bad, and you can share ideas openly — the team will understand. Often, people are shy and don’t share, so the project goes in a different direction because they didn’t open up properly. So, tell Atlantiser what you want and your value propositions.

When I was new in the company, I was exposed to its operations, as well as to people’s perception of diamonds. Thus, I had the idea to take our business online and give people a great experience.

Atlantiser® designed and developed our website using MySQL and Python. Initially, I explained what my company did, and we had a couple of discussions around our goals, during which they provided me with great advice using their experience and expertise. We tried to keep the site as simple as possible so that it would be clear for the user, as well as to make it a reflection of our business.
