Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work or the impact of the engagement?
Our clients are very happy with the reporting in the system. They can actually log in on their end. The system has different user levels for administrators and for the schools to see different levels of reporting, along with the user-level login. Everyone is very pleased with the system.
After launch, Artifex was always readily available to work with us to help us tweak things so that the system would work appropriately for us. As we used it, we had different thoughts on how we could enhance the performance, and Artifex was always there to work with us to make the changes we needed.
How did Artifex Technology Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?
They certainly met our timelines, and that was one of the reasons we switched to them from a different firm. From a project management perspective, we were very well organized. We were very detailed in laying out the specs of what the scope of the project was and how the system was to work, so we did not have any communication issues there at all. We worked directly with the programmers that were doing the work. There was usually a lead and, throughout the project, we worked with three different programmers, I believe.
What did you find most impressive about Artifex Technology Consulting?
The programmers at Artifex are all top-notch, very competent, and very efficient. We feel very comfortable engaging them for a wide array of different projects. Many times, they will just supplement our internal IT [information technology] staff or do work that our internal IT staff does. The default prevention system was their only large project, but there have been probably three or four other small projects that they've worked on with us.
