Promotional Video Production for Event Venue
"They captured the moments very well and the technical work was flawless."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the general manager of an events venue. Our venue hosts a variety of different events, from corporate events to personal events like weddings, birthdays, and special anniversaries. The venue is big and it offers a variety of cuisine, mainly specializing in European and Mediterranean food.
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtClip?
We wanted to show videos to potential clients that conveyed the overall feel and vibe that we offer to our guests. We wanted to display certain elements that we’re particularly proud of, like our service, our food, as well as our interactions with our clients. We needed someone to produce this video and could quickly adapt to the fast-moving environment of the hospitality business.
When it comes to videography and capturing the imagery, some companies don't know what they want, so they’d have a production company create an idea for them. In our case, we already had a story idea for the videos, and we needed somebody who was very professional and could properly capture what our business was about from an outsider’s perspective — we wanted the audience to feel as if they just walked into one of our events.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ArtClip produced promotional videos for us. They shot scenes from multiple events, so the project took a long time — they had to come back to the venue at our preferred schedules and do the proper shoots for each event. They later combined the footage into various montages that depicted the variety of events we do.
When the videos were complete, we put them on our website and designed it so the whole page showed the videos on repeat. There was a video for our home page and videos for each of the different types of events we offer.
They also produced a short promotional video for the grand opening of our bistro, which is a casual dining location separate from our venue. At my recommendation, a few of my clients have since hired them to cover weddings set at our venue, too.
What is the team composition?
We only worked with Kos (Videographer). He had a small team, but he was our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with ArtClip?
I found their work and I noticed that they had a more professional production value than other event videographers. They also did wedding photography and videography, which is mainly how I judged them. I thought their portfolio was great, so I wanted to reach out to them and we ended up meeting through a mutual connection.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent anywhere between $4,000–$5,000 CAD (approximately $3,000–$4,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement lasted from January 2019–January 2020, though they worked on and off throughout. We may reach out to them in the future if we have another project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work was really good — they captured the moments very well and the technical work was flawless. We had an idea of what type of events we were going to film, how we were gonna approach them, and at what intervals, but they were the ones who picked specific key moments and they were really great at showing what our business was about. They did everything right.
If we hadn’t chosen them and invested in their team, I don’t think someone else would have been able to capture what we wanted. ArtClip was very skilled and, if anything, they were overqualified; they could do a variety of different things in the video spectrum and production level because of their professional background. The clients who I referred them to were very happy and said did a really good job, too.
How did ArtClip perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management and communication were great. We mostly interfaced through email and all the communication was with Kos, who also did all the filming, editing, and technical work. He always responded immediately and it was really easy to communicate with him — when there was anything that needed to be edited out or changed, it was done impressively quickly with minimal back and forth.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The ease of communication really impressed me. They also did everything flawlessly — they created a video with really nice imagery for us and delivered exactly what we wanted. We knew what we wanted and we just needed someone to execute it professionally; ArtClip stood out from their competition because they didn’t try to force their way of doing things and did everything the way we wanted it to be done.
It was beneficial for both of us to work together because they also had the opportunity to work with our extensive list of brides and grooms and it ended up being really cost-effective in terms of what they offered.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I personally don’t think they could have done anything better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear in communicating what you want and then let ArtClip be creative with it. If you have any suggestions or if you want to make changes, tell them right away and they will see to it that it’s in the final product. Be very clear and straightforward with what you need right away, and they will give you a fair quote based on your needs.

Video Production for E-Commerce Vaporizer Company
"The project management was great. They were on time, met the deadlines, and got things done as expected."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Tools420, an e-commerce vaporizer company.
What challenge were you trying to address with ArtClip?
We needed help with video production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us create our YouTube videos. They helped shoot them, edit them, and then gave us the finished product and we put them on our channel. We collaborated throughout the process. Most of the time, the first edits were pretty good. If there were some revisions we wanted, we’d reply back and they’d fix them and send them back to us.
What is the team composition?
I worked with one person.
How did you come to work with ArtClip?
I was searching online for freelancers and came across the founder. I reached out to him and explained what I was looking for. He was very flexible and accommodating.
How much have you invested with them?
It was over $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2018 and stopped in December 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were able to hit different demographics with our marketing. We went on YouTube where we created videos for our audience. They provided more information and how to use the products. We ended up getting more organic traffic. The quality is good. Those who left us feedback mentioned the music that they weren’t a fan of but everything else was great. I don’t think it’s their fault but rather a personal preference. Some people like the music and some don’t.
They’d provide us with solid video. We would put it on YouTube. If we needed portions of that video, we’d take it and cut it into pieces to use for social media.
How did ArtClip perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management was great. They were on time, met the deadlines, and got things done as expected. We would send emails and set up a time and place. We’d get together and they’d bring their equipment to shoot the videos. We also used WeTransfer where videos could be uploaded.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their flexibility and project management were key— especially for a small, growing company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t know that they could get any better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to know what it is you’re looking for. They have their own ways and strategies and ideas. It doesn’t necessarily end up being exactly what you want. It’s always good to have your own idea, contribute, communicate with them, and collaborate.
Thanks to their artistic eye, ArtClip was able to create various video montages that creatively captured their atmosphere while remaining cost-effective. Their skill and professionalism, coupled with their great communication skills, allowed them to exceed the client’s expectations.
