The first stage of the project was fundamental for the success of the campaign and the fulfillment of deliveries. Manager Elena Yanovska took a deep dive into Upcycle's needs and then developed our marketing campaign and strictly followed the delivery schedule. The professionalism and punctuality throughout the project were impressive.

It's hard to answer that question. Art Fresh is a complete package. Creativity, up-to-date and trained professionals, committed to the objective to be achieved, punctuality in deliveries, in addition to friendly and always receptive service.

As a suggestion, more information through short videos with demonstrations of how different social media are interconnected. How to choose the right media channels for different types of businesses. The general information can give insights to small businesses and newcomers to the world of marketing.

I'm one of the founding board members of the Smart Landing Program Canada, a global cross-border initiative that helps global innovation companies enter the North American market.

What challenge were you trying to address with ART FRESH?

We were trying to develop an exciting, innovative branding for a new accelerator program that we wanted to position as the best of its kind. The program was backed by the City of Summerside in Canada, so we had conservative stakeholders but wanted to capture a sense of speed and innovation in the branding.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ART FRESH designed a logo, brand guidelines, and a basic landing page with multiple sections. The team built the site entirely from scratch without using a website builder. We first completed a customer intake form where we gave them detailed information about what we wanted.

What is the team composition?

We just interfaced with Elena (CEO & Creative Director). I don't know how many people were on their team.

How did you come to work with ART FRESH?

ART FRESH had been a long-term partner of the City of Summerside, so that's how we came in contact with Elena. Since they already had an understanding of the stakeholders, we decided to work with them. I was also impressed with some of their previous work.

The project started in January–April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

ART FRESH did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of our brand. We loved the clean visuals and fresh color palette. The logo was also really cool and modern. Their work was exciting and innovative — the website even won an award at the Summit Creative Awards in 2021. That was definitely great exposure for us.

Overall, the website made us look legitimate and professional. Thanks to ART FRESH's work, we feel like a very credible organization. The website was also really secure.

How did ART FRESH perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. I appreciated how Elena drove the project forward — she was clear about what they needed for us and when they needed it to avoid hindering the project. She was organized, efficient, and managed the process well. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The intake form was super professional and helpful. They were open to suggestions and ideas, and they truly captured our vision. We ended up hiring them for another project, and we would definitely hire them again once we have the budget.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since they made the site from scratch, it might be tricky to update it without their help. Although it did give us flexibility in terms of visuals, we would prefer it if we didn't have to go through ART FRESH every time we needed to change anything.

Trust the process. ART FRESH is very thoughtful and open to suggestions, so make sure to mention anything you want them to include, and they'll implement it into their work.

I'm a partner in a law firm, and I manage almost all of the IT and marketing activities of the firm.

For what projects/services did your company hire Art Fresh, Inc., and what were your goals?

We had a really outdated website, with poor mobile phone compatibility. We were also updating the ownership structure of the business, so we had to update our name and brand and decided to do this all at the same time with Art Fresh.

How did you select Art Fresh, Inc. and what were the deciding factors?

My partner first brought them to my attention. The quality of their work was largely was brought us onboard, seeing other websites and brands they've developed.

We had initial goal meetings. Filled out paperwork regarding our goals, business, intentions, etc... and then we had a market analysis done. Following our market analysis we decided on how we'd like to position our brand and firm, and the logo and other branding was created thereafter.

Once we had all the branding complete, we moved on to the development of the website. First, it was designed and each page reviewed and finalized through a continuous iteration process that allowed us to review each page, make whatever changes we felt necessary, and then approve the final page designs before the website itself was developed.

Following development, we spent some time reviewing the website, making any final adjustments, and preparing for launch!

We worked with a single member of the team, Elena. She was instrumental in bringing this all together. She is the owner and lead designer of Art Fresh.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Unfortunately, we were not tracking metrics before our changes, so difficult to provide any metrics here. However, we have heard from MANY people that they love our new branding and website. We constantly receive compliments on the new brand, logo, and site. We are very pleased with how everything turned out!

Communication was primarily through phone, email, and videochat. They were very involved in the process, and I always receive a reply quickly after sending an email to Art Fresh. They were always very responsive, communicative, and helpful!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They gave us a beautiful brand, complete with the brand identity guide which has allowed to further customize and brand our company materials internally using the colours, logo, design, font, etc., to remain consistent with our brand. We also loved the content-management website we were provided.

One of the key aspects of this work was having a website we could update on our end continuously without needing further IT or developer involvement. We wanted to be able to add/remove content, employee profiles, news and insights, etc., without needing a third party involved to do that quickly and efficiently.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't think there were any areas for improvement. We are extremely pleased with the brand and website that we received from Elena and the Art Fresh team.

I was project director at the Chamber of Commerce for an initiative meant to help grow the local economy through entrepreneurship and integration of immigrants into the business community.

For what projects/services did your company hire Art Fresh, Inc.?

We hired Art Fresh to develop a brand (visual identity) for an annual business event targeted at the local business community and the newly arrived business immigrants. As project director, I had inherited the name of the event; had I been in the position at the time I would have selected a different name.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to brand the event with a beautiful logo and tag line that would help communicate to diverse audiences the purpose of the event. The logo and tagline would be used for multiple communication channels/platforms: digital (social media, website), print advertising, print invitation, posters, stand-up banner).

We issued an open Request for Proposal.

We met initially once and I believe from that initial meeting Art Fresh created three or four options for our consideration. I was co-leading this initiative with a colleague. The selection process included the event team (3-4 people) at the Chamber. We settled on a final version after two or three rounds of revision.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were thrilled with the final result, especially the simplicity yet impactful tag line that was perfectly reflected by the visual. In fact, the tag line changed our own perception of the purpose and value of the annual event and how it aligned so well with the overall long-term objective of the multi-year project. The new logo and tagline crystallized the meaning of the event in our minds and helped us better communicate the value proposition to our target audiences. i

Very open dialogue - Art Fresh was always responsive to our requests for changes.

The website is very visually attractive, demonstrating the professionalism of the services we provided. After the webpages were published, we did received some applicants through the website.

The project was conducted according to the timeline that Elena and I discussed before the project was handled to Art Fresh. Elena always promptly and efficiently addressed issues or problems that I proposed.

I’m the director of municipal services for a municipality for the city of Summerside.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Art Fresh, Inc.?

We hired Art Fresh, Inc. to create an infographic video about the electrical restoration capabilities of the electric utilities for the municipality. We wanted everything to be conveyed in a non-technical way so consumers and decision-makers could understand the processes during any emergencies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

For this video, we used them to produce a script, handle any musical undertones, and produce the video. The videos were 2–3 minutes in length and explained the process of emergency electricity restoration in our city. 

What is the team composition?

Throughout the process, three people were involved in the work and we had direct contact with Elena (CEO, Art Fresh, Inc.).

We’d worked with them through a different department in our organization. I reached out internally to receive recommendations and Art Fresh, Inc. was one that came to us. I liked their previous work, too, so I went to them directly based on those factors.

We worked on the project between May–July 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The end result was a well-honed, finished product that we can use as an educational tool. Everyone that reviewed the final product had only positive words to say about it. All of the senior executives and internal staff gave good feedback on it. We really liked the simplicity and their ability to convert technical concepts into easy-to-understand ideas. 

How did Art Fresh, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management approach was very engaged. There were several iterations throughout the process, with multiple versions and drafts, but they were reactive and accommodating to these changes. They refined everything whenever we needed them to. Their quick turnaround was great—throughout the project we had weekly touchpoints to communicate. Emails, calls, and meetings worked really well for this smaller project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a great ability to understand what we needed, even though it was a very technical concept. Their team was willing to adapt their approach to meet our desired end results, which not every company can do. They did a good job of vetting our wants and requirements at the start, which helped reduce costs and timelines. They also delivered the final project under the budget they gave us at the start, which was great.

Nothing comes to mind for them to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend a lot of time at the start to make sure everyone understands the expectations for the deliverables. This will save you time down the road and avoid any potential issues. If you change your scope throughout the project, it’ll add stress and time to your process.

IMC is one of the TOP-10 agricultural companies in Ukraine, and is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The company is primarily involved in crop farming (corn, wheat, sunflower, soybean), the storage of grain and oilseed crops, and dairy farming. It operates 123,900 hectares of land located in the prime fertile farming regions of Ukraine (Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy). The company was founded in 2007.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Art Fresh?

In 2017, our company planned to celebrate its 10th anniversary. At that moment the company’s business had changed significantly compare to the start. In 2007, the company was created as a large dairy farmer with the name “Industrial Milk Company”, but in 2017 it became one of the TOP-5 producers of grain and oilseeds in Ukraine (corn, wheat, sunflower, soybean), and milk production occupied only 3% of the revenue structure. Therefore, it was decided to change the name of the company to IMC, with the name deciphering as Innovation. Management. Commitment (reflecting company’s new positioning), and to launch rebranding process.

Art Fresh involvement in rebranding of the IMC:

• Development of new corporate style: logotype, colors and brand book with detailed descriptions of how to use the elements of the new IMC corporate style for the company’s documents, brochure design, machinery, interior design, professional clothing, outdoor advertising, souvenir items and web design.

I worked with Elena Herweyer, CEO and Creative Director of Art Fresh, under another project in Ukraine - Cheese Club Corporation (Elena developed corporate style, packaging design, posters, outdoor advertisements etc.). Cheese Club Corporation was one of TOP3 cheese producers and exporters in Ukraine.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started to work in October 2016. The project was completed in April 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

New corporate style developed by Art Fresh for IMC was perceived very positively by company’s employees. IMC’s new corporate style is totally different from what we have on the agricultural market in Ukraine (including international companies – suppliers of inputs, grain traders etc.). IMC staff likes to be a part of innovative modern company and willingly apply IMC’s new corporate style. New brand identity also helps us to attract young professionals to the company which is a part of our HR strategy.

After launch of new corporate style and website in 2017 we also received positive feedback from our investors (IMC is a public company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The majority of our investors are from the European Union).

In addition, in three years after launch of IMC’s new corporate style, we can observe that companies from other sectors (international retail, banks) start to use the same colors combination as IMC in their branding. So, it works, but we were the pioneers in Ukraine! That is, the ideas from Art Fresh are really fresh!

Art fresh is very responsive agency. Project time management is at high level as well. Be sure everything will be done on time.
