I’m the CEO of Websoc Software Technologies, a startup in India.

What challenge were you trying to address with Arraign Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

We wanted to build a unique mobile and web application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a limited amount of time to do the project. The app is an online food ordering & delivery service. One of the unique features is the ability to order food from two different vendors at the same time. Their team developed the mobile, web, and software components. They also contributed ideas for other features within the application.

Currently, there are 5–6 people working on the project.

How did you come to work with Arraign Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

I had some meetings with Sarat (Co-founder & CEO) to discuss the project. Their team had experience with building mobile apps, which was the initial ask.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June 2019–January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did well with tracking the application. We’ve done some initial testing. The UI and functionality are also pretty good.

How did Arraign Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Sarat keeps the project on track. We have calls to discuss the project, and he gives prompt updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re trustworthy. The security and confidentiality of features are important to us. Their team also has a lot of experience in mobile applications.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, their work is good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their level of quality and dedication is amazing. Communicating with them is like talking to a friend.

I manage all internal operations and the tech team for a tech startup in Bangalore by the name of Cohora. My founder is based in London and the other investors are in the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD?

We had a large task to deliver—building an entire SaaS platform. We’d worked with another company before ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD but needed someone better. The challenge was building a large integrated product with social media functionalities that are built around brand communities.

We want to give brands their own community ecosystems, completely revolving around them as opposed to going having to go to Facebook or other social media sites and having to deal with data privacy and other issues. We’re basically building an ecosystem that any brand could own.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD has been helping us in building the entire SaaS platform. There are two parts to it: communities for the brands and an integrated analytics component for those ecosystems. It’s like two different products meshed together, supported on iOS, Android, and the web. We’re basically building three different applications for this, but I’m not aware of the technologies involved.

To sum it up, the product is a social media platform that can be run independently by brands. With classic social media platforms, the data is not owned by the client. We’re building our own ecosystem overhead, integrated for different platforms.

What is the team composition?

There is a front- and backend team of 6–8 people working on our project. A couple of them are floating resources, used as-needed.

How did you come to work with ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD?

ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD came through a reference from a close friend who used to work for the company. She knew one of ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD’s founders and connected us. Initially, the plan was just to meet them and see what their approach to delivering the product was. They came back with an entire roadmap within a week and actually told us what was wrong with the earlier team setup.

It just made sense to us, so we took a chance with them. Within a month or two, we could see that things were moving at a faster pace. Also, their team was better equipped in terms of technical expertise. We were using older technologies earlier, and while they tried to salvage what we had, the timeline was very tight so they restarted from scratch.

How much have you invested with them?

The overall project budget is $250,000–$500,000. We’ve divided it into three phases, and we’re in the first phase now. A lot went into the planning part during the first few weeks. We’re scaling the team up now and the cost so far has been around $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD around eight months ago. The magnitude of the product was quite big, and we needed to deliver it in a matter of eight months. We weren’t sure we’d be able to pull it off, but ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD helped us reach our launch date. We were planning to release some time in 2020. Currently, we’re nearing the completion of the first phase of the product toward the end of December 2019. We’re ahead of time by at least two months in terms of product delivery.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We could clearly see a difference in the quality of work during the first phase. ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD’s delivery and approach were far better than what we had before. I’d give them a seven out of ten in terms of quality and expertise, which is satisfactory for us at this moment in time. Based on our timeframe, the kind of quality we’re getting is great. If we had more time to deliver the product, I’m sure they have the right expertise to scale the quality up. It’s a very big product and we’re still developing it. So far, we’re really happy with ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD. 

How did ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve been working closely with their contact for the past 5–6 months, and I appreciate his approach as well as that of the rest of the team. We work together as one team. In fact, there are a couple of new members who didn’t know at first that we were two separate companies.

My experience is limited in the tech front, but I appreciate their professionalism. There are many skilled developers in India, and while we could find a lot of people with similar expertise, ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD’s approach to working as a team has made the difference.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really get involved in the work they pick up, and that makes a big difference in the delivery. They don’t just take up projects and deliver them; they get involved, and the involvement makes a lot of difference.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I gave them a lot of feedback in the beginning and they’ve improved a lot. I think this is one of the biggest projects they’ve worked on, but I can’t say for sure. We had the usual issues related to expectations, but there’s nothing specific I could mention. If they’re uncertain about something, they always get back to us within a day with their plan for sorting it out. Our team has been stuck on multiple occasions, but ARRAIGN TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD always comes up with a plan that works out. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’ve recommended them to a couple of people already. I don’t know if that materialized, but I wouldn’t think twice when recommending them. I only recommend people when I’m really, really happy about the service since my credibility’s involved as well.

I'm the Founder and CEO of Cohora.com. We are a specialist in B2B business and are based in Luxembourg.

We hired them to create a bespoke singular platform for community and digital marketing to merge with an e-commerce platform.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a Saas platform fully independent of IT involvement and predefine functionalities for users and marketers.

How did you select this vendor?

They pitched their services and they were honest about their processes and capabilities. Since day 1 they go the extra mile for you and above all, they are a bunch of people who keep their words, very rare breed these days

They assist us as a consultant on our MVP called myBataz and they audited the platform for us. Based on this, their understanding of our requirements and being able to have a plan and also enhancement on the product and be user-centric. They understand our vision for our project and they work via milestone which makes it transparent

Perfection comes will practice and run, therefore maybe we can be a bit more flexible on the processes.
