More than a Website
We added features and functionalities to the website for Genot Picor Storyteller and Dance Troupe Director in Warren, MI of the USA.
As a convenience we made the backend of the website in both English and French so that both authorized users and Genot are able to manage the website.
We increased the users’ abilities to easily navigate and understand the platform’s contents and purpose. We used our industry experience and digital skillsets to provide the client product with the attention it needed to be most successful.
The company working with Genot before didn’t give their website the attention it needed and allowed a virus to creep into the website. We quickly corrected this my cleaning the database and files of all malicious content, replacing the corrupted content, and implementing Cloud Anti-SPAM Monitoring.
We ran Genot through every category of the website, keeping him informed all the way through the process. We implemented custom methods for Genot to organize his calendar, which took the most time. Before Genot would just type a list of dates, times, location and performance. After our changes, now users can browse a calendar on the website and Genot can easily make changes to his platform, HIS WORDS NOT OURS.
Genot was amazed at our knowledge of the website and how to keep it virus-free. We used mostly phone and email to communicate, but we had met in-person as needed.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I run a barbecue catering business. I’m the owner.
What challenge were you trying to address with AppWT, LLC. (Michigan Websites)?
I hired them to assist with designing and maintaining my site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
My technical skills don’t allow me to build a website. Tony (Founder & CEO) came in and built the product from scratch. He very consciously added and removed things until we had a website. He gave insights and suggestions as well, augmenting the ideas that I had that he made into a reality. He designed the website so it appealed to different people.
He also assisted with SEO work. With the COVID-19 pandemic, business is way down. He worked to get us on the front page of SERPs so that if people Google barbecue catering in Michigan, I’m the first to pop up. He also set up analytics on the site.
Tony took the lead in getting me on social media as well. I don’t know how to handle that, but he put us on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and more.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with Tony.
How did you come to work with AppWT, LLC. (Michigan Websites)?
There’s an annual barbecue competition sanction by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. We were there, and there’s a social aspect to it amongst barbecuers and barbecue lovers. I met Tony there, and we got to talking. We hit him off, and I consider him a friend now. Several months later, I followed up on his offer and went with him.
How much have you invested with them?
I paid small fees for things and a monthly retainer. Tony was great — he didn’t try to nickel and dime me. I likely spent a couple of thousand dollars in the past two years, but I can’t give an exact number.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together beginning in September 2018. We finished in March 2019, that’s when the site went live. Since then, he’s helped with maintenance, SEO, and Social Media work.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There was a significant uptick in business as a result of Tony’s work. The business is seasonal, so when everyone picked up, I fell off of the front page of SERPs. Tony came in and pushed us on social media and pushed us back up SERPs. The fees I paid Tony had a massive ROI. Unfortunately, COVID-19 destroyed the industry but that’s nobody’s fault.
Tony also set me up with a plethora of information from analytics. It’s fantastic what he’s done — he’s increased my company’s visibility and provided me all this information on my visitors.
How did AppWT, LLC. (Michigan Websites) perform from a project management standpoint?
He’s fantastic. He always provided me options on what worked best for me, and he is incredibly flexible and communicative. He’s always there to pick up the phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The personal touch sets them apart. They truly care about us and our success. Tony’s incredibly warm, going above and beyond just business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have no suggestions — I am perfectly satisfied with their work and communication.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would suggest you go in with a game plan. If you have an outline of what you want and your questions lined up, it makes the process easier. It takes out the guesswork.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a children’s interactive storyteller and director of a couple of musical dance troupes.
What challenge were you trying to address with AppWT, LLC.?
My website was being handled by another company, and things weren’t going well.
What was the scope of their involvement?
There was already a design in mind for the final site. However, the company we were working with before didn’t give it the attention it needed. I used WordPress to make changes, and a virus crept into the site.
At that point, the former vendor didn’t do anything to rid the site of the issue. Once we found Tony (Website Creator, AppWT, LLC.), he designed and provided hosting services for the site. He did a ton of work, migrating the WordPress site to a new system to get it up and running. He’s continuing to support the site.
What is the team composition?
I’m working solely with Tony on this project.
How did you come to work with AppWT, LLC.?
Tony was referred to me by a friend after I made a request for recommendations on Facebook. So, we took it from there.
How much have you invested with them?
For the site, we spent $740. It was worth every penny.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2019, and the site went live in February 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Running through every category of the site, he kept me informed all the way through the process. Organizing the calendar took the most time. Previously, I listed upcoming events on the site. Now, users can browse a calendar feature on the site. I can make changes easily to the platform.
How did AppWT, LLC. perform from a project management standpoint?
Even through the birth of his daughter, he gave our account the time and attention it needed. He did an A1 job, and I couldn’t be happier. I was amazed at his knowledge of the website and how to keep them virus-free. We used phone and email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
He’s local, which allows us to meet in-person if needed. His expertise is unrivaled. I’ve never met another provider like him.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of a thing that could’ve been better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you work with him, you’re getting great service and a knowledgeable team. He’ll go the extra mile for you.
