Goal: The main struggle was Web Flow conversion from Install to Purchase. Solution:

Drops is one of the leaders in the language learning sub-niche on the market.
Their main struggle was ARPU (LTV) growth, which wasn't progressing for a few quarters.
ARPU growth depends on a few aspects when it comes to the app. One of the main ones is the Paywall&Pricing strategy.
After an in-depth audit of the client's pricing strategy and historical A/B tests, we developed a macro-level paywall experiment.
Our approach included:
- in-depth analysis of current data and conducted A/B tests;
- market research on the best up-to-date practices;
Once we finalized the data, we started A/B paywall experiments. Since this is one of the leading apps in the niche, we moved from one test to another quickly. Within two months, after a couple of A/B tests were conducted, we achieved 9% growth in ARPU.

Increased ARPU by 52%: DSS Onboarding A/B Testing
Deep Sleep Sounds is an app that helps people fall asleep by playing soothing sounds. DSS helps its users create healthier sleeping patterns.
The Challenge
DSS was looking to increase its conversion to purchase and ARPU by elevating the user experience, and internal user flows using transformative insights.
The app saw Applica as a match, as Applica has vast experience in defining the most successful monetization strategies and creating revenue growth drivers.
Planning
After setting the goals according to DSS’s wishes and priorities, Applica determined the Product and Design audits as the most essential ones. These audits focused on analyzing the app’s user flows, and the most attention went to the onboarding process.
The Applica team examined the onboarding level of personalization and its potential to increase engagement potential.
Execution
Applica developed a new onboarding flow from scratch and its design and helped DSS with implementation and analysis. The main focus was personalization, achieved through additional specific onboarding questions that made the flow more appealing to the user. DSS launched an A/B test based on Applica’s advice.
The Result
After running an A/B test on their onboarding process, DSS compared their metric levels with the ones they had with their old onboarding version. With the new extended onboarding, conversion to purchase increased by 46.08%, and ARPU increased by 52.82%.

Full Assistance in the USA Market Launch for Self-
Neome, a self-care app, helps users deal with and eliminate their negative subconscious using a specially trained chatbot.
The Challenge
Neome is a startup that was in the process of development when we started working with them. The main objective for Neome was launching onto the USA market, which they defined as the main one for the app.
Applica has successfully launched a few startups, so their expertise was a fit. Neome faced challenges with deciding on the pre-launch phase activities, user acquisition, and product design.
Planning
To reach maximum effectiveness, Applica performed three audits. The first one involved the Product & Design Team: they analyzed the inside of the app, its onboarding structure, and its features. As a result, they developed a new Neome onboarding structure and advised on the feature development.
The second and third audits were performed by the Paid Acquisition and the ASO Teams and were focused on the audience & its avatars, Google Play & App Store performance.
Execution
To check the marketing and product metrics, Applica assisted Neome in soft launching in Tier 3 countries. The Teams made the necessary improvements and performed the USA market launch.
The Result
After conducting ASO and app growth audits, Neome and Applica performed soft launches in Tier 3 countries. The results helped them adapt the app growth strategy for optimal mobile growth. The self-care app USA market launch was successful with the App Store click rate of ~30%, the ad banners click-through rate of ~2,5%, and the CPI of ~ $2.

I'm CEO and co-Founder of the mobile app Alter Ego Life Philosophy. This is a mental health app that helps fight anxiety and stress and becomes a better version of yourself.
For what projects/services did your company hire Applica Agency?
We had prepared a prototype of our app and needed help to review and fix the product & design side. Also, after release, we needed help with paid marketing launch and product assistance. We hired Applica Agency so that they can provide us with product&marketing support. Our goal was to optimize on the product side and, achieve benchmarks + become profitable after finding the best market fit.

We searched on Linkedin and in our network for Product managers with an experience in Health&Fitness, Meditation niche. We came to Applica representatives whose skills fit our needs.

Their team is data-driven and organized which helps to understand quickly what needs to be fixed and optimized. They use a couple of frameworks to analyze the product and give a precise task for our developers or some other teams.
They’ve suggested main changes that will help to increase ARPU/LTV and covered the ideas backlog for us, so the only thing we needed is to develop and implement changes with our CTO. We had weekly syncs to discuss results and plans for the next run.

We work directly with the Product growth manager and Senior Designer. Also, there’s a Marketing Team. Each team covers our product separately, so there’s always an expert we can talk to + a project manager overall.

We reached positive ROI 3 months after launch. Since then we keep scaling our Marketing. On the product side, we conducted more than 20 A/B tests and developed/designed four new features suggested by Applica. We’ve seen:
- Trial Conversion improvement over four months;
- Activation improvement over 2 months;
- Retention improvement over 1 month.

Communication was easy; over Slack, we used a limited number of tools managed by Applica (MMP, RevenueCat, etc.)
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They kept things simple in terms of communication. They provide only valuable data, so it saves lots of time figuring out the exact process or result. Also, I liked that only people who worked only on relevant projects were assigned, + some of them worked in Senior roles (Product and Desing).
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It took a while for them to start creative production and save our time. Eventually, they covered this part as well, so we could scale more aggressively.
