Website Development Project - Homepage
We had a blast building Shoreline Immigration a new website. This is a 100% custom/bespoke website. We worked with graphic designers to customize all artwork on the site.
We focused heavily on user experience. Some of the UX items we implemented were:
- Popup modals for "contact us" forms instead of redirecting to a "contact us" page
- Services are displayed in accordions to help de-clutter the page
- Frequent call to action buttons
- The mobile view was optimized and includes a fixed footer with options to contact the office by phone or contact form
- The desktop menu utilized a custom hide and reveal functionality. When the user starts to scroll up, the menu will reveal itself. It will hide when the user scrolls down.
There are so many cool features about this website and we loved working with Shoreline Immigration!

We focused hard on the SEO for the service page designs. We worked closely with the Office staff to generate enough content to start ranking the services pages on Google.

I'm the owner and lead lawyer at LJH Law. LJH Law provides immigration law services for asylum seekers, investors and business startups. employers looking to bring overseas workers to the US, and international adoptions.
For what projects/services did your company hire Aperture Digital Marketing, and what were your goals?
We consulted with Aperture Digital Marketing to understand how to gain more granular control over our website. Aperture Digital worked with the other marketing company to help transfer the website from their host to our own hosting provider. John and the team also helped us set up our DNS, migrate all the blogs, and fix any issues that arose during the migration process. We also had Aperture Digital perform on-page SEO to help our Google ranking in our local service area of Houston, Texas. The Aperture Digital team also set up a new contact us form reporting system that would automatically sync our form submission with our Google Cloud spreadsheets.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Aperture Digital after consulting with them and learning that we didn't necessarily need a web developer to make every little change to our website. John helped us learn the basics of our WordPress website and showed us how to change things like colors, headings, and text. That was the deciding factor for us. If the task was technical or too difficult for the office staff, we prefer to let John and the team make those updates to the site.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
The scope of work was to
- interface with the previous marketing company and obtain all the files and data necessary to move our website to our own host.
- Setup the website DNS, Google and Facebook analytics tracking codes, and verify our cookie consent software.
- Setup contact forms that would integrate with Google Sheets and the Google Cloud.
- Perform on-page SEO optimization, write meta titles, and review our backlink profile.
- Address site speed issues and improve site loading times on Google Page Speed Insights.
- QC the website was working correctly following the migrations and update all software to the latest version.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with John for the entire project.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After the on-page optimization, our homepage is now on the first page for our target search term. We were previously on page two. The site speed tests are now in the 90s on mobile devices. They were in the low 50s on Page Speed Insights prior to the optimization. It is also nice to have complete ownership of our website and hosting.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
This project required us to have several meetings to discuss all the items needed from the previous marketing company. Aperture Digital would set clear action items for all parties and follow up on those until all were marked complete. Once the Website data was moved to the new host, we began weekly meetings to discuss progress on SEO and the contact form project. After the project was completed, John gave us a demo of all the items he completed for our website. He also showed us some of the technical details about our site.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We thought it was impressive how quickly Aperture Digital was able to begin working on another firm's product and help us bring it in-house. We are impressed that they've been able to work with our new web host, the old company, and our office simultaneously.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are very happy with Aperture Digital's work and have them provide monthly website maintenance for our firm in 2022.

I'm a Business Development Manager at Shoreline Immigration. Our firm specializes in a variety of immigration law services including, employment-based immigration, asylum, international adoptions, and Investor and startup visas services.
For what projects/services did your company hire Aperture Digital Marketing?
The law practice needed a website that focuses on user experience and site navigation. We have many services and sub-services that must be categorized to make sense for our diverse customer base. We also wanted a unique mobile design that made it easy for our clients to contact us with their questions about immigrating to the US.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Aperture Digital after interviewing several other firms. Aperture Digital took an active interest in our business and asked many questions during the interview. It was clear that they wanted to work with us and listen to our input on the design and website functionality.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The project was to build a brand new unique website. The scope of work included creating the home page, service category pages and service landing pages, blog archive pages, blog post pages, contact and about us pages. The project also included a unique mobile design that we think will help users contact us quickly. The website was developed with Wordpress.
Some of the neat technologies we discussed were custom post types and 'taxonomies' to help better organize the many different services our website offers. The custom post types allow our office staff to easily manage and extend the website. Aperture Digital is always available to continue building out the website for significant changes we may need.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We interfaced with John to build the website, and he is the owner of the company.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The website is fast and snappy when using filters and sorting tools. We also think the mobile design will help our customers contact us. John added click-to-call and contact form buttons on the mobile design that customers can quickly find. John also made sure the site was migrated to our web host and set up everything for us.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We spent a fair amount of time working on the website site map before starting the project. The site map helped us see all the different parts of our website that needed development. John worked through developing each portion of the website sitemap and did not move forward until our revisions and approvals were discussed and implemented. John's attention to detail and frequent communication made this project fun and easy to work on.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Communication was important to us, and each time we talked with John, we had an easy-going conversation. John also was happy to show us the technical aspects of the website. If we had questions, he took the time to explain the technical details.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Aperture Digital Marketing has done a great job with our website, and we are now working on new SEO projects.
Aperture Digital Marketing has brought the client to the first page of Google searches. The client appreciates their full ownership for their website and hosting. They would set clear action items for all of their parties and follow up on them until they have all been completed.
