I’m the founder of PRINT4DISPLAY. We supply advertising banners, flags, and outdoor and exhibition displays. We help our customers maximize their brand presence, promote their business, and ultimately increase their sales.

I hired Cut2Code to create a website allowing visitors to view and interact with my business online. The site needed to have a custom, mobile-responsive design and intuitive navigation.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to show our customers the heart of our brand by creating a rich, immersive experience for them to search through our stock and place orders.

How did you select this vendor?

I posted a job advertisement on Envato, a marketplace for creative assets. I wanted to hire a developer on Envato because that’s where I purchased my WooCommerce theme. Cut2Code got in touch with me straight away and offered their services. After doing a bit of research on them, I was truly impressed by all the excellent reviews I found. I'm very satisfied with the relationship we’ve established. Selecting them was a great choice.

Cut2Code followed our design guidelines and helped us create a compelling and beautiful digital footprint. They built the site, implemented payment methods (PayPal, Card), and suggested the best approach to the product configuration calculator, which is an essential feature of our store. Users can upload their own artwork and read our blog. We also have sharing tools linked to social media channels.

What was the team composition?

Cut2Code provides project managers, front- and backend developers, and an account service team. They’re a group of like-minded individuals that are growing rapidly because of their love for web development.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Thanks to their work, our new online shop is ready to handle forthcoming orders. Though we haven’t started trading yet, I'm confident the site will encourage online purchases and drive users to interact and with and share content.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Their project manager is very impressive. He’s always able to talk about my project, and if he doesn’t hear from me for a day or two, he'll call to find out how I’m doing. This ensures we keep the ball rolling. I greatly appreciate his ‘can-do’ attitude and initiative. Their services are comprehensive, so we haven’t had to find other providers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I’m delighted with the business relationship I’ve developed with Cut2Code, particularly our two-way communication. They’re good listeners and encourage dialogue and idea sharing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There’s very little they could improve. Nothing comes to mind, to be honest.

Thanks to this pillar page, we are looking forward to the increase in the number of visitors and potential clients. With it, we established ourselves as a chatbot’s expert. It is also adjusted for mobile devices - a condition that we highlighted at the very start of the project.

It is mostly thanks to the excellent work of a Project Manager that not only coordinated everything with great precision but was also serving as a consultant. We needed web maintenance services for an end client's website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, I engaged with ambiscale (formerly Cut2Code) to maintain an end client's website. The team worked on small tasks and fixed some bugs. After some time, I gave them a new web development project from scratch with the design in Figma. The two projects were built on WordPress and used PHP, CSS, and JavaScript.

We worked with 6–7 teammates, including the CEO, a developer, a salesperson, and a project manager.

I found ambiscale on Clutch and contacted them after reading the reviews of several companies.

We worked together from December 2022–October 2024.

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

The project wasn't big for ambiscale (formerly Cut2Code), yet it took them about a year to complete. I ended my engagement with the team because I needed stable code and because of the bad work they did.

ambiscale (formerly Cut2Code) charged me for QA hours on both projects. After they told me they'd finished the project, I asked them to submit it for review. However, after digging out, I realized they hadn't done any QA on the project and felt very angry. After this, I requested evidence of the work done on the second project via email to understand why ambiscale charged for QA hours every month. ambiscale sent me a bizarre fake log of QAOL because they didn't have any real evidence to provide.

How did ambiscale (formerly Cut2Code) address the challenges that arose

I requested ambiscale to reimburse me for all the QA hours I had paid, but they refused to. I also sent them an email in the middle of the second project saying I wasn’t happy with the solution they provided, and they didn’t care. I spent so much time checking on ambiscale and addressing them to request changes, and they just didn’t care.

ambiscale delayed my project for over a year because I wasn't a big fish for them and didn't spend $100,000. The project was big for me but not for the team. This was the first time in my life I had such a bad experience with a software company.

How was project management handled?

 ambiscale's project management wasn't good; the project manager didn't check in with the developer.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

Nothing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t think any new client should make a contract with ambiscale (formerly Cut2Code).

We always value our clients' feedback but do not tolerate lies. In this case, the review is completely detached from reality. This client initially approached us with a completely broken and non-functional e-commerce store developed by another provider. Our team worked tirelessly to restore functionality and resolve the issues, which led to the client expressing satisfaction with the outcome.

Following the success of that project, the client entrusted us with a second project, which we also delivered successfully and in line with his expectations.

As part of our standard process, every client is given 30 days after project delivery to submit any comments or report errors. In this case, no issues were reported during that time, and the client fully settled their invoice without raising concerns.
Recently, 10 months after we had decided to end our cooperation, he tried to blackmail us to gain a financial benefit. The matter was documented internally, and we are taking appropriate steps to address this situation in line with our commitment to fairness and transparency.

It is sad to see such a strongly negative review, especially when the feedback is provided anonymously. Constructive feedback fosters growth, but unsubstantiated claims damage trust and mutual respect.
