The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the owner of a family business that produces genuine leather jackets and accessories in Italy.
For what projects/services did your company hire Amasty, and what were your goals?
I needed to set magento and nginx in the right way to increase user experience and search engine rankings.
How did you select Amasty and what were the deciding factors?
I already knew Amasty because I use a lot of their products and find them fantastic. What I love about this company is the customer support, coding well according to magento standards and kindness. It is difficult to find other companies that offer all this expertise. Congratulations.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I needed help to better configure the multiview store based on Magento 2 (one for each language.) I needed a page where the user could choose the target language / currency. And to set the sitemap correctly for each storeview.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Mine is a family business and it's just me and my partner who run the site.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The multilingual website now works the way I dreamed it.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
He was very helpful, he tried to accommodate me in all my requests. Always with kindness and speed. He also explained to me step by step all the operations carried out to reach the goal. A truly positive experience.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Highly qualified assistance, speed in responding. The success rate. Nothing is ever left to chance. I really find them the best agency for magento.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Nothing for the moment.

Custom Magento 2 Development for Distribution Firm
"I’m impressed with the responsiveness and skills of Amasty’s developers."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m in charge of the website and online marketing of a distribution company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amasty?
We needed to migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2, which involved installing a new theme with extensions. This, in turn, requires custom software development work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Amasty is helping us customize our new website. I purchased our new theme from them. They provide custom software development services, although we’re nearly done with the project.
What is the team composition?
I have spoken and emailed with three people, but I'm not sure what their positions are. Two of them are contact points, and they coordinate with the rest of the company on my behalf.
How did you come to work with Amasty?
Amnesty reached out to me and offered their services.
How much have you invested with them?
The customization will cost about $3,000. Then, the extensions and theme will cost a bit more.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working in November 2020, and it is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm happy with the customization done by Amasty. If I haven’t been satisfied with their work, it has been very easy to go back to them and explain what I need. They’ve dealt with that very efficiently.
How did Amasty perform from a project management standpoint?
We have good communication. They’re very responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with the responsiveness and skills of Amasty’s developers — they have a team that they can call on. I also like having contact points who manage my concerns.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be good to have a description of all of the services they can offer.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d probably give them the point of contact that I have and explain what I've done with them, and then they can take it from there.

Website Audit & Optimization for E-Commerce Business
“I feel I can trust them with our website.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of marketing and sales for Titan Rig, an e-commerce business specializing in performance cooling components for computers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amasty?
We’d set up a Magento 1 store in addition to other platforms. The first round of developers we had was very inexpensive, and they got us going, but we ended up finding a lot of problems with the website. There are a lot of problems with the theme of our website and the way it was coded up. There was a lot of excess code and a lot of bad coding etiquette.
Our page speed score was very low; it was just not moving fast enough. We reached out to Amasty for optimization and had them clean the code up. They started up the whole code and found a whole bunch of problems with our site after an audit.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Amasty optimizes our website. They use GitLab to create the code and pull it to the live website. The coding languages they use are JavaScript and CSS. There isn’t any design work involved. I do most of the design work in Photoshop, and I give them the files we create.
One recent big project that we were able to do — which we started with the previous development team but couldn’t get together — was a custom PC cable configurator. It’s a real-time live cable updater that helps customers visualize their cables' path and color patterns. Amasty also helped us create that product.
What is the team composition?
We have a dedicated account representative we deal with regularly. He has a team of people he works with, and he adds more people as they throttle up. There’s also one dedicated person beyond him doing work on the website.
How did you come to work with Amasty?
We first came across them because Amasty makes the best extensions for Magento — about 80% of our extensions are from them. They may have reached out to my boss, who’s the company's owner, or he came across something that they did development work on. We set up a call, reached out to them, and worked from there.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $50,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
The very first audit was back in June 2020, and the project is still ongoing. We’ve hired them on a full-time basis.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Website performance and Google page speeds have increased. We’ve had better visibility through Google because we don’t have any more errors on our page, which is dinging us for SEO. We have A+ ratings on other testing websites, and even our customers have seen a noticeable improvement in the website’s performance.
The website’s much more stable. We had a Google page speed score of 13 for mobile and 25 for desktop after about two months’ worth of work. Amasty was able to get the desktop as high as 94 at one point, which is amazing.
We’ve seen a significant improvement in our overall traffic, and the website has been better equipped to handle it. With the old website, we would regularly see intermittent crashes. Short crashes would be anywhere from a couple of minutes to 10 minutes. That happened periodically. As of now, we’ve had only one significant crash.
How did Amasty perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent. They use a platform called Trello, which we already use. Integrating into their management system is very easy, and the communication is excellent. I also have direct communication with the lead developer, who responds back to us even at odd times of the night. They’re very accommodating and great at communicating information.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s the professionalism that’s most impressive. They’re honest. I’ve never worked with a company that’s so responsive, even when dealing with other third-party software applications. It’s not their code, but because they’re managing the website, they have to look at them to troubleshoot, and they really press them on issues. They don’t just let things sit around. I feel I can trust them with our website.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re a little on the expensive side. That would be my only negative critique, but it’s minor, considering that it’s hard to sometimes put a price on development tasks.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just get started with them. They’re a great group of people to work with. They’re very responsive, their answers are always super detailed, and they don’t shortcut anything.

Extension Development for e-Commerce Developer
"The quality of their products is above the market average, and their support is second to none."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of digital development for a Slovak company specializing in Magento development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amasty?
We needed a partner for various clients’ e-commerce website development needs. We were looking to save time and resources and to optimize client projects.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us create web stores for our clients. Amasty supports and maintains a wide range of Magento extensions. The key platforms we work on are Magento 1 and 2. They have 100 extensions for each. After evaluating the client’s requirements, we list the partner extensions that can tackle certain areas. Usually, Amasty’s extensions are in the top five.
This works better than redeveloping the required features over and over. We just use an extension by Amasty, and they can add new features as needed. Amasty takes care of anything related to their extension including functionality, design, etc. This process saves the client thousands of dollars and saves us thousands of hours of development. This allows us to deliver our products quicker and cheaper.
How did you come to work with Amasty?
We were looking for a company with who we could cooperate in this manner. In terms of the number of extensions, Amasty is probably our biggest extension provider. We only work with three or four extension companies.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost depends on the size of the client and the edition of Magento used. It’s usually $3000 for Magento Community and $7000 for Magento Enterprise. We probably spend between $30,000 to $50,000 per year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them for the past five years. We’ve worked with them on around 20 projects in total. The projects usually last from three months to 12 months.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We are satisfied with their performance. Their overall support is stellar. We’ve never heard any complaints from our clients about their work.
How did Amasty perform from a project management standpoint?
Our clients are always really happy with the response time and quality of the answers they receive. If there is a bug, Amasty is able to fix it quickly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their products is above average for the market, and their support is second to none.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I would recommend not to hesitate to contact their support team if any issues arise. There’s never been a time that the support team couldn’t resolve our issues.

Website Extension Development for System Integrator
"Their support is flawless, and they stay in close touch both with their customers and partners like us."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a system integrator. We primarily work with the Magento platform and with other solutions that are available. I am the director of business development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amasty?
The most-used Amasty product is the product finder, which is a huge help for the automotive industry. For any implementation of an automotive website on Magento, we use their product finder apart from the other products that they offer – the Magento products. We use their solutions, which helps minimize the costs and saves time for our clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It's not about the services – they're a product company. They develop extensions for Magento. We partner with them, we get extensive support with them, and they've never let us down. The product quality is great as well as the help they provide along with their products.
How did you come to work with Amasty?
They were in the space pretty much from the beginning of Magento. They've got a good reputation, and we're also there almost from the beginning. We are working with them for maybe four or five years, and it was natural back then because there weren't that many companies in the space. So, there was no chance we wouldn't be working together.
How much have you invested with Amasty?
They range from $100 to $600 per product. If we were to develop the same features in-house, it'd take us much more than that, which saves a lot of money for our clients. Our projects are less than $5,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
There are quite a few projects, and almost every new project that we take on require Amasty extensions. To date, I'd say there are several thousand projects involved with Amasty.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
It's not a software-as-a service solution, it's an extension. The merchant, or us, have to manage it themselves. We are talking about the decrease in cost and time, but we still have to manage it. What I can say is the solutions are pretty well architected and includes most of the features required for any business. I'm not able to provide any certain specific metrics, but I can say they work and they help merchants make more and create a certain return on investment.
How did Amasty perform from a project management standpoint?
It's a product company. We don't really interact with their project managers. Their support is flawless, and they stay in close touch both with their customers and partners like us.
What did you find most impressive about Amasty?
They have great quality and support. They have a very extensive catalog. They offer many products, which covers virtually any part of the e-commerce business. What they offer is great. They are definitely one of the top providers on the market.
Are there any areas Amasty could improve?
Not really. I can't think of anything.
The client's platform now offers sitemaps, translations, currencies, and languages. Amasty was described as quick and kind. The vendor also explains each step of their project by step and carried out its operations smoothly.
