I'm the founder & CEO of crossculture2go educational platform. We developed a marketplace for videos, eLearning courses and live coaching sessions on business cultures around the world.

Our mission is to make cross-cultural support accessible, affordable, and convenient – so that anyone who is dealing with a challenging international business situation can get instant support – anytime, anywhere.

For what projects/services did your company hire AlvariumSoft?

Crossculture2go needed services for content creation and support for the website. There was a need to redevelop education videos, work with recording/editing materials, texts and education processes that were developed and integrated into videos to bring the results for people who would be going to use it to visit foreign countries with intentions to work there, build a business, etc.

For the website where all the content was to be published, we needed support from the web development side. After a thorough research process I chose Alvariumsoft to execute the required work. These guys demonstrated a high-level of experience and interest from the beginning.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals were to update and refresh the project and all the existing content. That meant that there was a general need to reproduce existing videos and material.

On the other hand, there was the need to support and rebuild the backend of the website – e.g. fixing bugs, adding new functionalities and improving the website speed. The basic challenge was to rebuild the project as quickly as possible while continuing to work with my customers.

After reviewing a lot of companies, I chose two candidates to move on to make the final decision. Among them was AlvariumSoft. Having made technical calls with them I figured out that AlvariumSoft had more expertise than the other vendor.

Besides, they sent me a short video that they had produced during a trial period and the quality as well as the look and feel met our expectations to 100%. That’s why I made the decision to continue working with AlvariumSoft.

crossculture2go is a one-stop marketplace where people can get 24/7 support in living abroad and doing business with other cultures. It helps people in a direct and easily accessible way to deal with international situations, e.g. sales, negotiations, living abroad as an expatriate, travelling as a business traveller etc. Users can purchase, videos, courses or talk to coaches live on the platform.

We’ve successfully launched our updated website https://crossculture2go.com/. We are currently negotiating to get investments in order to realize the next step of development and marketing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

AlvariumSoft suggested working by their internal plan to make the work process going as smoothly and effectively as possible. One of our employees was in constant contact with Alvariumsoft and took care of content review & approval.

This person set the tasks via Trello and AlvariumSoft then worked on them. As to the development side, I showed our challenges and bugs that needed to be fixed to the respective project manager of Alvariumsoft. After discussing the best fitting strategy he managed the developer directly. Generally, I loved their uncomplicated and competent way of communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team was very passionate about the whole project and they weren't afraid to recommend new approaches to get a maximum result for me as their client.

I especially liked the fact that they always kept in mind what was best for me even though that sometimes meant additional work from their side (without exceeding the negotiated budget). They definitely realize the business value of their clients and do their best to optimize it.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Since I would like to work with them even closer it would be great if they opened up an operational office in Germany. I’m convinced that there are many companies in Germany that could profit from the great expertise and work Alvariumsoft delivers.

I'm the co-founder of an IT startup providing development, management and infrastructure services to small and medium sized companies.

We needed help building an integration between an inventory management / accounting system and a cloud based CRM. The integration had been started by one of our previous partners and we needed help completing the final steps including some refactoring. The goal was to have a steady sync of data to the CRM.

AlvariumSoft had the right competences for the project including available engineers to get up and running quickly. They had an easy time understanding the requirements and proposing the solution.

The integration was built using PHP with intermediate object caching in MySQL. The integration works by checking for import batches each night and finding new data (by comparing to the cache) that is then sent to the CRM. The intermediate cache ensures we limit the number of API calls used to join data and makes it possible to import large batches of old, new and updated content. We tested the integration in separate environments before finally releasing to production.

We had the help of 3 PHP developers and one project manager.

The project was delivered with the initial requirements and within the original price estimate.

We had a set amount of hours per week allotted to the work and progressed accordingly. Multiple weekly follow-ups were done via online meetings and chat.

They are eager to provide good services and follow up on results. They were willing to provide extra service to build a good relationship.

It's important to make sure that the right person is involved in each step of the project, and this is a key takeaway from the project.

We had some fixes on a particularly challenging legacy project, and other developers were not up to the task. We hired AlvariumSoft to complete the remaining items so we could deploy them to the live site for our client.

The site is Laravel based and is fairly outdated. We had a number of bug descriptions prepared for AlvariumSoft to look at, and after an initial kick-off meeting they jumped straight into fixing them.

There were three team members we dealt with primarily - an Account Manager, a Project Manager and the Developer.

AlvariumSoft completed all tasks faster than our expected timeframes. The client was very please with the end result as it was something they had been waiting on for a while.

We primarily communicated via Slack, with both the Developer and Project Manager providing us timely updates as each task was completed and ready to test.

The overall professionalism, as well as the speed and efficiency in completing the tasks.

We genuinely can't think of any areas where they could have improved, it was a pleasure working with them and we look forward to partnering with them again in the future.

I am the founder and CEO of SwissMetrics. We have a SaaS platform providing data, tools and analytics on companies form around the world.

We have launched a couple of new products and are required to develop new landing pages.

I receive many offers for IT development work. However I found AlvariumSoft to be focused on what I need, they were able to work quickly with an immediate start and very importantly, they were able to compliment my existing IT developer.

We went through a number of steps starting from assessing and drafting the needs, ensuring there is an understanding of the requirements, there was initial feedback to ensure the work was being carried out according to expectations, another round of checks before final version. Very efficient and able to capture early if something was not quit right.

There were 3, the designer, the overall account manager who interpreted my requirements into design and an organiser.

Guys are wonderful to cooperate. They are completely independent and they areable to listen and hear simultaneously. For many persons it’s difficult. They provided us with solutions that were more than relevant. Thus we made our way to a release shorter and platform’s functionality inside more logical

I work as a consultant for a bank, responsible for technical projects setup, business processes, data analysis projects, and also project support during its lifecycle

I have hired AlvariumSoft for several web-development projects including nice websites to deliver content to a dedicated audience and a complicated assessment project where data from multiple countries were collected and processed

This time I needed a website for the initiative to support SME after shocking influence by the crisis caused by the pandemic. The challenge was to deliver in one box a tool for delivering generic guidelines and also to enable consultants from each country to deliver dedicated localised content to the audience.

The main deciding factor was the previous experience. Even in small one-time projects Alvariumsoft team always showed dedication and never left the project even after it is fully delivered, supporting me with guidance and technical advice.

For this project, the design phase was also delivered by AlvariumSoft, which added one more big point to the future selection of the guys.

The project will be delivered for quite a long time ahead, however, even at this stage we have perfect feedback from users and content owners which is the main KPI for such kind of projects

Communication is carried out mostly by emails, which is caused by complicated and non-technical stakeholders' huge engagement.

Weekly communication is carried out via different tools depending on stakeholders in the call requirements. Documents are exchanged via Huddle which is a common document exchange system for our projects.

They have an impressive communication style and professional dedication. You can rarely find a perfect example of these two features together.

In a modern IT world, there is always a place for improvement, but I see how guys are going, and they have a bright future ahead.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables produced were of very high quality, timely delivered and now they are collecting a lot of positive feedback from users (respondents and project team)

Since I am a certified PM (PRINCE 2) I can rate the PM style as near to perfect. The team was always available for a discussion and we had no issues with switching to tools used in EBRD projects (Huddle, WhatsApp, Breeze, etc)

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From vast experience, I can say that timely delivery of proper quality even in an extremely aggressive environment which we have is a very rare and valuable thing.

Excellent communication, following all commitments.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Since we selected AlvariumSoft as a long-time partner for future projects we have already discussed with their team, which skills they need to improve or develop to embrace more complicated projects.

However, this project had issues on our side rather than on developers, and developers managed to save the project allowing it to be launched in time when from my point of view it looked almost unfeasible due to a huge last-minute change in requirements on our side.
