AltexSoft & Fareboom: Co-Building Innovative Travel and Booking Solution to Outperform the Competition

AltexSoft helped online travel agency Fareboom.com completely redesign system architecture of the portal, introduce major UX improvements, make search engine upgrades, and implement continuous integration.

The team’s work resulted in an increase of the sales conversion by 150% within 6 months since the launch. After introducing major search algorithm upgrades, complex recombination tool and specific analytics, Fareboom

started providing up to 60% more flight options. The updated software architecture allowed the client to keep the effort needed for its upgrades and maintenance to the minimum and save up to 30% on development costs.

AltexSoft & Cornerstone Information Systems: Reimagining the User Experience for a Corporate Travel Management Solution

Cornerstone Information Systems® is a leading travel technology provider with more than 600 clients operating globally, including travel management companies, online travel agencies, corporate travel departments, and global distribution systems.

Cornerstone was looking for a simple yet efficient solution for proactive airline disruption management, able to save billions of dollars for travel providers and

travelers.

AltexSoft team designed and developed two solutions. The first is an advanced web dashboard, a comprehensive tool for corporate travel managers. The dashboard allows the travel manager to track the status of the corporate traveler and proactively react in case of disruption. The second one is a multitenant mobile application providing corporate travelers with a direct access to travel-related information on the go and get timely assistance from travel managers in case of disruption.

AltexSoft & Bruxlab: Employing State-of-the-Art Machine Learning and Data Science to Diagnose and Fight Bruxism Image

AltexSoft & Bruxlab: Employing State-of-the-Art Machine Learning and Data Science to Diagnose and Fight Bruxism

Bruxlab, currently renamed as Sleep.ai, is a Dutch healthcare startup. Being a dentist, our client, Michiel Allessie, has been studying the teeth grinding (or so-called bruxism) and its impact on the health.

AltexSoft developed an iOS app running in the background during the night and capturing the sounds made by users while sleeping. Based on a complex algorithm, the system would then be used to isolate grinding sounds

and tabulate the score. The reports are then further forwarded to a dentist for treatment.

Employing data analytics and machine learning techniques, AltexSoft team created an algorithm, able to distinguish the teeth grinding from other noises. Our data scientists built a neural network and used 6,000 audio samples to solve the noise classification problem. For every sample the team was able to extract attributes, of the grinding. Our algorithm has reached up to 80% accuracy in recognition (with the accuracy growing as more samples are analyzed).

AltexSoft Builds a Powerful Patent Research and Analysis Tool for a Pharmaceutical Startup Image

AltexSoft Builds a Powerful Patent Research and Analysis Tool for a Pharmaceutical Startup

GenericsWeb, is an Australian-based company, operating in the pharmaceutical industry and Patent Intelligence since 1999. The company’s core product, Ark Patent Intelligence system, provides a database of pharmaceutical patents with the ability to search for information, structure and visualize it. This helps generic drug manufacturers reduce intellectual property violation risks and plan ahead when developing new

products.

In September 2015, GenericsWeb was acquired by QuintilesIMS, a global healthcare information and technology provider. Ark Patent Intelligence system has been able to expand its reach.

AltexSoft has created a scalable solution to replace the previous version of the software. We implemented a user-friendly web interface for a database of patents. The built-in custom search engine, developed by AltexSoft, can handle the complex queries on INNs, patents, patent families, litigations and Supplementary Patent Constraints, and provide data selection.

platform, developed in cooperation with AltexSoft.

In order to reinforce the product’s value as part of Scientific Games Corporation offering and allow for more advanced administrative opportunities within the Bally Mobile platform, our team introduced a number of updates and improvements. Among them:

AltexSoft & Niftie: Designing Ride-Sharing App as Public Transportation Alternative

Niftie, an Australian ride-sharing company, connects travelers and coach drivers to facilitate a city commute. The service caters to passengers that expect to get a guaranteed and timely ride to their destinations regardless of public transportation overload. Niftie was planning to expand beyond sports and events travel. But the old app wasn’t meeting modern mobile standards. AltexSoft UX team considered the new business model

and fully designed new applications

As the UX project is finished, engineering teams have all necessary information to start software development.

Clickable prototypes for mobile iOS and Android versions that are adjusted to design guidelines for their respective platforms.

Driver app for tablets, that streamlines the passenger boarding procedure and provides navigation support.

White label distribution-ready landing page, that discovers app features and allows transportation businesses to embark on the app use right away.

AltexSoft’s role was to deliver a product that would complement both models. The project entailed:

*UI/UX design for kiosk interface and admin panel

*Kiosk front- and back-end engineering

*Linux operating system customization on kiosks

*Implementing flexible server-side architecture

AltexSoft Creates Unique Data Science and Analytics-Based Fare Predictor Tool to Forecast Price Movements Image

AltexSoft Creates Unique Data Science and Analytics-Based Fare Predictor Tool to Forecast Price Movements

Fareboom.com is a project by Best Travel Store Inc., a US-based online travel agency. It has been developed by the AltexSoft team in order to substitute an older version of the company’s booking service.

The Fareboom Price Predictor is aimed at helping users make informed decisions as to when to buy tickets or how long to wait to get the best flight deals. It's based on an intelligent algorithm, able to forecast future

price movements based on historical data and smart predictive analytics models.

The final algorithm has an average confidence rate of 75% and uses a time series forecasting to make both long-term (7 weeks) and short-term (7 days) predictions.

Its introduction doubled the average time per session within a month since the release and continues to grow the conversion.

MMG engaged AltexSoft to design and implement three types of informational widgets used on generated pages: flexible flight search, flight status, and flight info with on-time ratings and general flight details. The work scope comprised the following challenges:

*Provide UX design for the widgets that would combine all necessary data

*Implement dynamic widgets that would allow users to interact with them

*Set up a server-side architecture that retrieves data from multiple sources to display info on the widgets
