Day in day out we travel on road, most of time we get caught in traffic. There are existing apps like Waze that tell us traffic conditions on the fly but this only gives us a solution by means of an alternate route.
The IBM Traffic Forecast app however, goes a step further by giving a traffic forecast beforehand. This way users can avoid the jam altogether instead of finding a way around it. This technology uses traffic hotspots and also weather conditions to predict traffic in advance to notify users.
