Plant City Housing Authority is an assisted housing agency in the city of Plant City. We manage a 200 unit housing development, and voucher based program which houses up to 200 families throughout the city. I am the manager of one of the Government Housing programs for our city.
For what projects/services did your company hire Alltek Services?
Times have been quickly changing and becoming more and more computer and cloud-based. We had outgrown our IT services. We were not confident that they were providing the safety measures needed for cybersecurity, as well as being close enough to provide IT services when needed. We needed a vendor that could handle our IT needs, which included upgrading our servers, computers, and other equipment such as printers and scanners. We also needed assurance that our network was maintained, and as safe as possible from any preventable cyber-attacks.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We met the owner Taher at a housing conference, and when the need arrived, we remembered house knowledgeable and personable he was, and decided to contact him. HE took the time to com to our office, and made sure that we understand what ALTEK had to offer.
Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.
They made sure our IT infrastructure was set up, and had very little downtime between getting new computers, server, and other office equipment. Everything had to be installed into our new computers, including working hand in hand with the main software company that is used in the scope of our agency. If we have any technical issues, they are only a phone call or email away. We usually receive a return call in no longer than 1 hour from putting in a help ticket.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The owner was the main point of contact to start with, but since we have worked with many of their IT help desk associates to include J.R., Chandler, George etc…. Whom are all friendly, helpful, and happy to help
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Now that we are working with Alltek, we have had very little down time with our systems going down. They are able to quickly react to any issues, and have even mitigated some issues from becoming so time consuming, and disrupting our daily task
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective workflow, the time needed is taken to explain the process to our director, which allows her to quickly make decisions.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Whenever there is an issue, Taher and J.R are just an email or call away, and they are very responsive!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are happy to continue working with Alltek!
Since working with Alltek Services, the client had seen less and less downtime for their internal systems. The vendor has an effective workflow that takes the time to understand the client's problems before making decisions. Most importantly, they remain a call away for support.
