AKS Interactive built an enterprise-level solution platform for internal use. The client was looking to create better visibility between the brand managers and in their respective offices and the actual retail stores — the app essentially provides that visibility and transparency for the client’s stores and offices around the world.

Moreover, the app was built using HTML5 and after three months, we got approval from the client to build an Android and iOS version of it.

We started working together in December 2017, and we officially decommissioned in the middle of this year.

This project was the first of its kind for the organization so we set our own matrix. The client had about 4,000 stores in about 11 markets globally, so we wanted to reach as many of them as possible. 

However, the client had a manpower crunch in terms of evaluating each of them, so we just highlighted the top 25% of the stores around the world and we managed to successfully integrate the app into each store.

From a project management standpoint, they were very quick and always available to us, which was essential since we were dealing with multiple markets across different timezones. We had a dedicated team working across multiple digital platforms, so it was quite well-managed and organized.

We were impressed with their flexibility and agility. They never broke a sweat implementing massive changes or accommodating the requests of our clients.

Since we had a long-term relationship with them, there were certain aspects that we felt were above the market price — it would’ve been great if they provided us with cost optimization. Every project has its challenges, but I believe this has been one of the most successful and pleasant projects we’ve ever worked on.

In addition to this, they also resolved some interconnected updates related to Wordpress, website theme and plugins. Once all technical work was completed, the new front-end design was incorporated.

All the deliverables were delivered as intended by us in the scope. The website speed, function and accessibility had improved.

There was regular weekly communication between the agency and us. Both the Project Manager and Developers liaised frequently with us, and provided credible solutions to the issues at hand without much need for trial-and-error. The Covid-19 pandemic did cause a delay in a few deliverables in between, however, we were provided with regular updates on the status of such tasks.

Their expertise. Despite our website being one, they had not built originally, They were able to highlight and resolve issues that were not visible to us on WordPress.

Timelines of the project could have been clearer at the start of the project. However, the project caught up speed when the problems were fully identified.

The goal was to have a user-friendly platform that was easy to update from an admin perspective, allow tracking, and allow ease of marketing activation deployment

We had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. We provided their team with wireframes and designs. Within 5 weeks, they delivered the first round in both android and iOS versions of the app. They incorporated our feedback and delivered the revised version. Before launching, we ran it through beta testing.

While a project manager was assigned to be the point of contact throughout the project, sometimes I get to communicate with the lead developers directly too.

Within 6 months of the app launch, there is a consistent sign-up rate which allows us to expand the marketing activities in the app like lucky draw and flash sales or time sensitive events

The application which they delivered was as per our expectation. It was having an impressive layout and user-friendly functionality. They shaped our idea into a better reality.

They use Bitrix as a project management tool. I have also got invited to that tool so that I felt like a part of a team. It felt like live tracking software for tasks on which the team was working. They followed the timeline with great punctuality which I found a rare thing with Mobile app development companies.

The kind of communication they have with us was remarkable. I hardly found any communication gap between my team and their team. They delivered the application beyond my expectations.

Frankly I did not find any flaws in the process but their follow-ups are regressed be it be about project functionality or payments.
