Crossfit X-Factor + The Recovery Gym—Space Design
In the months leading up to the launch of a new fitness program, CrossFit X-Factor and The Recovery Gym (TRG) approached us to re-imagine the exterior of their shared space. It was my job to find a balance between both brands. Everything was designed with the intention of co-branding the space in a timeless execution. The design is evocative but simple. Using existing design elements to brand the space, we created a pattern by intertwining pieces of each other’s brand marks. To the untrained eye the pattern could very well be an execution representing each other’s brands. Our end goal was a statement piece the gym’s presence, a way-finding tool for potential clients and a visual motivator for members of the facility.

Film Poster for "Malibu"
Casey McFeron, who’s acting credits include roles in the acclaimed television programs “ER”, “Leverage”, and “Grimm” is co-partner of Happy Tiger Films and the director, executive producer and lead actor, alongside Josh McIntyre, in his latest film “Malibu”. So when he called us up to design a poster for him, it was a no brainer. The tricky part was that this was a 15 minute film with one scene and two actors. Sound easy? No. But it sounded like a challenge and we love a good design challenge.

KUDO App Concept & Branding
KUDO is a restaurant search/rating app concept with a slightly different take than familiar favorites. KUDO brings gamification into the equation by assigning points (KUDO’s) to users so that they can be applied towards dining vouchers. The theory being that a happy dining experience starts with a well informed, organized and happy staff. By eliminating pain points for the restaurant staff, patrons indirectly feel the ripple effects and are delighted about their experience from start to finish

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of Happy Tiger Films, a small independent film production company
For what projects/services did your company hire AG Design Co.?
We needed a poster design for our upcoming short film "Malibu"
What were your goals for this project?
To have a poster designed that could invoke the tone and entice the viewer to want to engage with seeing the film.
How did you select this vendor?
Based on previous design work and the thoughtfulness and care that they brought to the first meeting, AG Design Co was able to stand out in comparison to the competition.
Describe the project in detail.
"Malibu" is a short film involving two friends that learn new discoveries about each other and are then forced to make a tough decision. All of this happens while waiting in a parked car. The poster need to capture all of these elements without exposing the outcome of the film.
What was the team composition?
From our first meeting to our last, AG Design Co asked important questions, incorporated not only my ideas but brought exciting new ideas of their own in order to find a blend of the two. I was always consulted and asked of my opinions of things, never feeling like they were breaking away into their own world with it.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
From my initial idea to the finished product, I was presented with a poster that was able to both satisfy and surprise me. It's a complete and clear representation of what this film is and as it's now sent out into the world, I feel confident that it will only enhance and allow the viewer to find deeper meanings in both the film and poster.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Always on time with deadlines, always in communication.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They were able to elevate a seemingly simple poster and project to a level I didn't initially see there.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None
The final poster exceeded the expectations of the internal team. AG Design Co. successfully captures the short film and allows the viewer to find a deeper meaning. Their team is communicative, organized, and attentive.
