Navigation platform
Navigation platform inside of a building with precision and accuracy
B2B platform that allows detecting users and/ or equipment location inside of a building with precision and accuracy. Using an indoor navigation and indoor motion tracking mechanism the app analyzes customer movements and develops a navigation system for them. The technological core of the system is based on the joint processing of Wi-Fi / Bluetooth LE signals and measurements from internal sensors that allows the app to archive a positioning accuracy of 1 meter and still be quickly and easily deployed for mobile and web solutions.
Navigine is an enterprise platform based on iBeacon technology. This is a successful startup which raised more than 2M$ and have more than 500 installations worldwide. One of their customer’s is Kesko - a well known chain of supermarkets in Finland.

Emoji and stickers app
An exciting emoji and sticker application with an array of custom tools for collage creation and sharing
The application was developed for iOS and Android. The project included web CMS and admins dashboard development, as well as in-app purchase capabilities and post-live support. Features include custom keyboards, animated stickers, photo editing, and WhatsApp integration

Agriculture marketplace
From Proof of Concept to Prototype to MVP. Lack of clarity in the scope of the project was a major challenge. Close communication and collaboration with the client, research of the industry and analysis of competitors helped us to get an overall view of end users. We wanted to have a complete picture of the audience needs. Another win on the project is the right project management methodology. Agile is a clear winner when it comes to small projects (which are usually developed as MVPs) with a higher chaos resolution rate and lower failure risk. Lastly, we focused on choosing the right tech stack – PHP and Symfony framework. All of these steps made the project a big win at the end!

Mobile app for airport
Official app of the international airport
Integration with existing systems, support for a large customer network and a tight timeline were just a few challenges. Our focus was on providing an easy to use navigation to streamline and simplify the user experience.
We managed the project schedule tightly – scope, potential risks, change orders and did frequent checks to make sure everyone knew what was expected of them. One of the client requirements was to be ready before the 2018 football championship. So we tracked, tracked, and tracked some more. And Succeeded!

Peer-to-peer rental marketplace
The essence of the project is a marketplace, which ranks a variety of proposals for rentals of goods. The goal was to unite as many suppliers of goods as possible and to become a regulator of the rental market.
The created rental platform is able to simultaneously unite users who can be a provider of services as well as a rental firm at the same time. Tight deadline with a limited budget were just a few challenges and this is why Ruby on Rails was chosen for project implementation which is ideal for rapid prototyping of start-ups. A team of full-stack programmers that performed development and testing functions was dedicated to work on the project.
The project attracted investors. In the summer of 2014, Rentmania passed acceleration in the FRI, which according to the results received an investment of 1.4 million rubles in exchange for a 7% stake in the company. In the same year the startup became a finalist of the GenerationS contest and received a grant for 1 million rubles from the Bortnik Foundation. In 2015, Rentmania became the only Russian startup, invited to the five-day Finnish accelerating program StartupSauna. In May 2016, the founders of Rentmania bought out from the FRI a 7% stake for 2.4 million rubles. Now the service works in Moscow and the future plan is to expand its geography.

Electronic record system
Development of an electronic record system to be used primarily by medical facilities
A massive undertaking that took three years to complete. The project aimed to streamline and automate business processes by creating an electronic record system with two-factor authentication. The software would allow users to manage content for acute care hospitals, nursing facilities, subacute facilities, LTACHs, rehab hospitals, and CCRSs

Truck owners assistance application
The project at hand was the creation of an application for truckers and trucking businesses aimed at streamlining some business processes
The project included the development of a cargo tracking system from pickup to delivery and payment, improvement of documentation submission at the time of delivery, tools for managing and executing agreements with freight shippers and brokers, and rate procurement confirmations

Online language learning portal
Development of an online platform for hosting language tutoring sessions
The essence of the project was to unite language tutors and potential students on a platform that can host video calls and online lessons within different browsers. The platform will be equipped with a quality rating system, and the tutors will also be able to monetize classes based on lesson duration

Location-based CMS for a game in the real-world
Custom development of a content management system, using AWS as the hosting platform
Created and currently being developed by TribeRed, Moomin Move is an adventure game that uses location-based technologies to simulate a virtual world using real-life locations. Adexin was tasked with in-game content management system development. The system itself is a combination of a serverless back-end and a map-based front-end primarily for administrative purposes. The back-end is responsible for determining suitable places to spawn in-game objects of varying types depending on the surroundings. Moreover, it also generates the content that the players will be able to interact with. The front-end allows administrators to manually control the locations where objects may spawn and provides tools necessary for testing other back-end functions.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a software development company. Founded in 2016. At the moment we have a head office in Vilnius (Lithuania), and development offices in Minsk (Belarus) and St. Petersburg (Russia). We have about 50 employees. I'm a Deputy head at the Vilnius office.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Adexin?
With one of our ongoing projects the customer requested an increase in the .NET technology team, which is not within our core competency, therefore we decided to hire Adexin to help with this project as .NET is one of their specialties.
What were your goals for this project?
It was necessary to assemble a team of professionals who would be able, in an agile manner, to develop an important part of a large system for our customer. The system was developed and launched in close contact with the client, which helped avoid problems with integrating the new functionality with the existing system.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We are long-standing partners with Adexin and have worked together on several projects in the past. At the same time, .NET technology is their key expertise. Therefore, the choice was obvious. Also, the customer himself conducted a series of interviews from which he chose a person who met their requirements.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
This customer works in the advertising industry. The main tasks were pre-processing and validation of configuration files from clients for subsequent display of advertisements on youtube, vimeo and various other streaming services. Development was done using .NET using the Amazon AWS infrastructure.
What was the team composition?
The end customer managed the structure and composition of the team. On the Adexin side, this was one very experienced .net back-end developer who was well integrated into an existing project. Front-end development was carried out using the React framework.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Working with Adexin helped us to retain the customer and even expand our relationship with their company. We are confident that the client will not hesitate to reach out to us for future development.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The developer assigned to the project was highly organized and worked directly with the customer without internal management. Our correspondence with Adexin was limited to contract and invoice. Communication was easy and trouble free.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Transparency and communication are a key advantage of working with Adexin.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Adexin is very good at what they do and should continue their focus on .NET and related technologies.

Custom Software Dev for a Gaming Technology Company
“Adexin focuses on delivering what fits our needs.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Tribe.Red, a gaming technology company. We create math-based games that incite people to move and be active. We also work with healthcare companies to research how games motivate people to be physically active.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adexin?
We needed more development resources because our current project was too big for us to handle.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Adexin provides us with development services. They’ve created a couple of servers using Node.js and a CMS with HTML user interfaces. They also help us with data management, and they handle all of the data analytics for our clients.
First, they developed and tested the first server. As the second server was part of the same project, they worked the same way and helped us create the technical specifications. Then, they implemented and deployed it, and they handled all the QA. Now, they provide maintenance to both servers.
The other part of their involvement is around map data. They’ve handled and analyzed a lot of map data for us, and they created a server for us that handles all the requests online for our game and our players. Additionally, they created a couple of big map content game services with user interfaces.
We didn’t provide Adexin with specific requirements initially. Instead, they participated with us to innovate our developments and create a plan on what we should do next. They essentially became a part of our team, and we’re really happy with them.
What is the team composition?
We initially started working with four people from Adexin, but we’re now in communication with two.
How did you come to work with Adexin?
I met one of their representatives in 2017 at an event in Finland, and I met with him several times after that. When our need arose, I approached him because he seemed reliable. I felt that they wanted to be our partners, so I chose them and built a long-term relationship.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent €120,000 (approximately $141,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Adexin has helped us develop everything faster. Their ramp-up time was also quick, helping us save at least four months at the beginning of the project. Working with them, we’ve also seen large cost savings compared to other local companies in Finland; we saved 50%–70% on costs.
Adexin is reliable and capable of working independently, and they have a very skilled team. They’ve supported us and delivered for our client on time. Our client is very happy with the quality of their work. Overall, it has been a very successful project.
How did Adexin perform from a project management standpoint?
I’m very happy Adexin’s project management. They have excellent management skills and manage their time very well, so we haven’t had to micromanage them. Their great work and support have saved a lot of time for our team.
Adexin focuses on delivering what fits our needs and our client’s needs. Building a trustworthy relationship with them has been very important to us. They’re very flexible if we have to change something, and our communication is excellent.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Adexin is really skilled and innovative; they deliver complete and custom-made solutions. They also provide us with a lot of feedback. They’re a true partner to us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that I’d have them improve — we’re really happy with them. However, it would be good if they had a larger pool of talent. They have talented people, but they’re not a huge company.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You’ll find Adexin easy to work with, so I recommend you to work with them. They’re really great with communication, and they’re proactive in finding services that will fit your needs.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a senior manager at the translation management agency.
For what projects/services did your company hire , and what were your goals?
We needed a web software for the client to communicate with the translators, create, monitor and collect translation tasks so that we don't have to send tons of emails manually.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
A friend of mine advised them to me having worked with them before himself.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We approached Adexin with the idea to automatize our business which is translation management for our client. We discussed our needs and challenges in a number of initial meetings, and Adexin came up with a solution: a web portal that links all the stakeholders, i.e. our administrators, clients and translators.
After defining the scope of work they started developing promptly. They launched the project quickly and managed all the technical matters themselves. The project is now live, supported by Adexin guys. I was happy that they were quick to understand our challenge, listened carefully, proposed solutions and did not bother us with technical issues.
It is important for us that Adexin are flexible and ready to enhance or change the project anytime. Technical stack is Javascript, .NET and AWS as a cloud platform.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Tech lead, two developers an part-time tester. It took us several short discussions to define the working plan and understand our capabilities withing our budget.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The main metrics here are the time saved for the administrators, client employees and translators. It saves all the parties several hours each months, depending on the number of translations. Priceless.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We communicated via Skype and phone calls. They guys are easy-going but professional, always willing to listen and meet our needs. Easy and efficient communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They go deep to understand what you exactly need from the desired piece of software. Very easy to communicate.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Im the founder, ceo and product owner of Hailer
For what projects/services did your company hire Adexin, and what were your goals?
We had very limited test coverage for our SaaS solution and we built out comprehensive automatic and manual test routines together with Adexin
How did you select Adexin and what were the deciding factors?
We started small as the Adexin team seemed like a trustworthy partner to work with. As this turned out to be true we expanded our cooperation
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The Hailer tech stack includes technologies such as Angular, Swift and NodeJS. For testing purposes we have a set of unit tests for both the front- and the back end. in addition we use a technology called use trace to speed up the manual testing in the the front end.
Each development ticket goes though a fixed process where the tests are run. Adexin is a key part in our process.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
2 people at the moment. One resource for testing and one helping out with configuring our platform for different clients
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our bugs have reduced significantly and the delivery velocity has gone up because of their team
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
All our product development and related communication is done on our platform Hailer, on which the Adexin team is also part of. We communicate on a daily basis
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
As we have already worked with Adexin for almost 2 years it now feels like the team members from Adexin are part of our team. Adexin fully adapted to our processes where many other companies have cumbersome ticketing systems that they force clients to work with
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are currently considering expanding our cooperation with various parties, but the biggest question mark is still wether or not we can outsource more of our project specific work.
Adexin is yet to show us that they truly understand the challenges we face in our sales work, so that we could include them in projects that we currently do for our clients

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Supervise, a software firm. Our focus is on building chatbots for Microsoft Teams.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adexin?
We needed a development partner so we hired Adexin.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Adexin has been our ongoing development partner. They’re my go-to team when we don’t have enough in-house development resources for mobile applications and specific tasks with Microsoft Azure technologies.
They’ve developed an Android app for us — it allows us to track the incoming and outgoing mobile phone calls and pass that data to our chatbot and then to our CRM system. They’ve also worked with the Microsoft bot framework using Azure and the Dynamics 365 technologies.
What is the team composition?
There are three people from their team. They have a really good account manager who takes care of the daily communications and then there are two developers.
How did you come to work with Adexin?
I found them on LinkedIn and asked to meet over coffee. I felt like they were great people so I gave them a chance and they’ve been delivering work well so we continue to collaborate.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent €25,000 (approximately $30,300 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve been really fast and efficient on all the tasks I’ve given to them. The team does their job very well. Compared to other outsourcing companies we’ve worked with, they’re the best we’ve encountered. They exceed our expectations and are an honest team about the hours they work and charge.
How did Adexin perform from a project management standpoint?
The account manager is really good at what he does — he keeps me up to date. If there is ever any problem, I just send him a message and he’s really quick to reply. He then delivers the message to the developers. He’s really good with people and is also a technical person, which makes communication easy. We mainly speak through email, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive thing is how they keep on delivering. Usually, when I start with a new company, only the first month is good, but Adexin continues to exceed our expectations every month. They have a really good track record.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, everything is going well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We have continuous work together, so it’s not just one huge project — I recommend working with them that way. I use them as a part of my team and I can trust they will get the work done. I don’t need to hire full-stack developers here in-house, so I recommend using them for ongoing support.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director for Excelano which is a company that I started several years ago. We do consulting, and we are also now building a software product.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adexin?
I reached out to them for software development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked with me to develop a SaaS product that includes a couple of different parts. The software is implemented on PHP on the backend and has a REST API. I also had them work on the frontend, which is a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
The software is basically a project and portfolio management tool that we are building out and planning to use as a SaaS.
We are also going to do Android and iOS applications, and then provide the API as endpoints for other applications if they want to do integrations with it.I haven’t started iOS and Android yet.
What is the team composition?
I worked with three people. The main developer was the primary person I worked with, but I also worked with the business manager who is in Belarus. They also have a person in the US who I interfaced with for billing and things like that.
How did you come to work with Adexin?
I was looking specifically for teams in Eastern Europe. I had good experiences with other vendors in that region. I found them on LinkedIn initially. I connected with them, and quite a few others. I had in-depth conversations with about five other groups. I needed someone that was really flexible and with a base in the US.
Adexin met all of my requirements. They had good quality people, and they had a reputation for doing good work. It was also important to me that they had open source so that I could actually go in and look at their code to see if their code was good.
How much have you invested in them?
So far, I’ve spent about $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2020. We finished up the first part of the project in November 2020. Right now, we are taking a break, but I will probably start the next project in January 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I was able to establish a good level of trust with the manager that I worked with. He understood where I was coming from, what my needs were, and was able to work with me and be flexible. Right now the product is only available for internal use and beta testing. However, so far I’m happy with how it’s turned out.
How did Adexin perform from a project management standpoint?
We ran it as a scrum project and we communicated daily. We had different time zones, so we basically chose a time that worked well for everybody to have a daily stand-up meeting. We were getting constant feedback and working directly together.
We used GitHub for our code tracking. We would assign a task within GitHub. A separate branch would be created, and then they would work on it and check it in. We made sure that someone else on the team, whether it was me or the other developer, would look at the code so that we were all on the same page. If there was anything that needed to be changed, we would tweak it and go back and forth.
Every two weeks, we did a demonstration and had a meeting on Zoom. The developers would show off the features that they had developed during that two-week period.
I encouraged the team to communicate directly with one another and they did that. They worked well together, and they all got along. They all had the same vision.
There were parts of the project where I had them work part-time and parts of the project where I had them work full-time, and they were great at that. They were very easy to work with and flexible on scheduling.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The code is excellent. I wanted someone that had done REST API using PHP, and our developer has done that. They understood what to do without me having to sit down and explain every little piece.
They were able to conceptualize the product clearly. It saved a lot of time and made the process go much faster than if I had to sit down and explain every little piece to it. That is probably the best part about it. They understood what needed to happen and just did it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
To be honest, I was perfectly happy with everything they did. They did exactly what I asked them to do. They were easy to work with, and they were flexible. Obviously, there is always room for improvement, but I was honestly happy all around. I don’t think there is anything that they should have done differently. They were a great partner for me, and I hope to use them in the future.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Get to know the team and understand what they bring to the table. They are going to bring value, and sometimes they are going to bring value that you didn’t even expect. Get to know them personally and let them do their thing.

Mobile App Dev for Accounting Firm
"Adexin is perfect at what they do, whether its project- or communication-related."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO Numerum Oy, an accounting firm based in Finland. We have three full-time employees and four part-time ones.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adexin?
We wanted to develop a mobile app that allows small business owners to keep all their bookkeeping documents in one place, including receipts, bills, and tax reports. We hired Adexin for the job.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Adexin designed and developed our app based on our specifications, taking care of everything from UI/UX design to Android, iOS, and desktop app development. We had some Q&A sessions at the start to gather our requirements. It was easy to communicate with them despite dealing with technical terms beyond an ordinary person’s knowledge. Adexin made what they were going to do easy to understand.
The mobile app allows users to take pictures of their receipts and send bills or tax reports directly to their customers for products and/or services. The desktop version is meant for accountants, who receive all the necessary documents from their clients over the cloud through the app and then send reports to the tax administration.
What is the team composition?
We were in contact with one person 24/7, but their designer was also present during meetings. Overall, there’s been a team of several people working on our project.
How did you come to work with Adexin?
We met and talked with them briefly at a festival where we were showcasing a demo version of the app. When we began considering replacing the company we were using at the time, we thought of Adexin. I browsed their website and ultimately chose them based on our communication. I also felt that their services were much cheaper than the options we had in Finland but were still of high quality.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent €32,000 (approximately $35,895 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Adexin in August 2018. The project is still ongoing, but we’ve frozen it since November 2018 due to some payment difficulties on our side. Their customer service has been great from this point of view.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Communication is the first thing that stands out about a provider we don’t know, and it’s what amazed me about Adexin every time. With the software companies I’ve previously worked with, I couldn’t even understand what people were saying to me, but it was totally different here. It was easy for me to communicate every small detail to Adexin, and we knew of every single step they were taking.
Work-wise, there was no pressure from their end. Most of the work was done faster than we had planned. I’ve been a bit worried about working with companies outside of Finland, but everything has gone really, really well. Adexin gets five stars from me all the way.
How did Adexin perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team worked ahead of schedule at times and were flexible when our company faced issues. There was an instance when we needed to stop development for one week, and they were fine with that. Adexin’s customer service is amazing. We mainly use WhatsApp for communication, though we’ve also used Skype once or twice.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Adexin is perfect at what they do, whether its project- or communication-related.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I would change about them. Let them be.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Hippotec, an IT startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with Adexin?
I needed help with multiple development projects for several of my clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I was approached by someone from Israel with an idea regarding a service for allowing people to participate in sports events. With the help of Adexin, we were able to make it happen and turn it into a final product in about three to four months.
The second project I hired them for was to build native applications for publishers. Their main task was to create an engine for native apps that would allow content publishers to escape the clutches of Facebook. This project also took three to four months to complete.
I’ve used Adexin on several occasions as an offshore company to help me finish milestones on time and hit a few deadlines.
One of our customers’ whole system is on the Microsoft stack, and finding the right talent for this is becoming harder and harder. I approached Adexin again, and they were able to help me with fulfilling this project. I used them for three or four weeks for this particular task, which required significant changes in the backend of a Microsoft technology-based stack.
What is the team composition?
On the first project, there were four developers and a manager involved. For the second project, I used two or three developers and a manager. For the last project, I worked directly with the developer.
How did you come to work with Adexin?
They have a representative in Israel that’s a close friend of mine. He made contact with us, and we did a few small test projects for a few websites to make sure we got along. Everything went well, and we moved onto larger projects together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $40,000 on their services so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together five or six years ago. I approach them anytime I have something they can help me with.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They finished the first project on time, within budget, and without any arguments, which was a nice accomplishment. I was happy with the results of the native apps they created for me. Also, some of the models they built are still being used today. Furthermore, the product of the third project is still alive.
How did Adexin perform from a project management standpoint?
They are very attentive and responsive. When we first started working together, they were a bit inexperienced, so we worked together to set up the basic workflows and QA cycles. We used Jira to communicate. They seem to have matured quite nicely since we started working together. For the later projects, they acted very professionally.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re agile and very widespread, which is their main strength. They deal with native mobile development, backend, big data, JavaScript, content creation, etc. I would definitely work with Adexin again and again.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should invest a little in improving their English skills. Communication has never been an actual problem, but it’s apparent that’s it’s not one of their strengths.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just hire them.
