I hired Add People to complete some SEO work for me.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Add People leads my company’s SEO efforts and runs our Google Ad campaigns. Add People uses the information I provided about my company to drive the SEO work. Their team is working on increasing the backlinks I get to my website by publishing content I write online.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It took a little while for Add People's work to impact my company, but now I’m getting a lot of queries and hits on my website. The Google Ads that Add People runs also generate a lot of traffic. Overall, all the work they’re doing has increased my website’s ranking in Google search results.
How did Add People perform from a project management standpoint?
Add People has excellent project management, and I communicate with them via email and phone calls. I converse with the teammate who runs my Google Ads biweekly to discuss what is working and what isn’t. The SEO work takes a little longer than I expected, but that is often the case with that work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Add People is always available to talk to — if I have a question or an idea, I can get a hold of one of the teammates from Add People. Also, I like that we collaborate on our strategy; we’re in constant discussion about my company’s needs. Add People has a very personalized service.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wish both teammates from Add People were equally available to me, but one is often less available.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise customers to be clear about what they want from the partnership and ato take advantage of Add People’s experience. Customers shouldn’t ignore Add People’s feedback on their ideas.

I am an Inspirational Speaker and the founder of Anthony Inspires Ltd. I Inspire and motivate people within schools and educational settings, healthcare conferences and corporate team event days.
For what projects/services did your company hire Add People, and what were your goals?
When I started my speaking business, a lot of time and effort was put into manually contacting companies via email and phone calls to try to get speaking jobs booked. This took up a large portion of my day and resulted in other areas of my business not getting the attention it needed.
Having Add People's service meant I could target the audiences I was looking for and companies that were looking for a speaker for their upcoming events would contact me directly. This was phenomenal as it meant I could apply my time to build other areas of my business, with quality leads coming through, without the need of me having to cold call.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I was looking online for digital marketing agencies and received a call from Adam at Add People. He explained how they could support my business, without being pushy. He popped me an email with case studies and a breakdown of the benefits of Add People's services and it honestly sounded too good to be true. We put a contract together and within the first couple of months, I was seeing a huge increase in the number of leads coming through my inbox.

First, we had a call where I could explain what my business is, who my target audience were and where geographically I would like to target my ads. We spoke through the different platforms and which ones would be best for me. Whether it was Facebook ads, Google ads, LinkedIn and so on.
We then talked through my monthly spending and how we can begin to fine-tune my audience once the algorithms started to learn more about my target audience. I decided that focussing on Google ads and Facebook ads would be a great start. I would have regular catch-ups with the Add People team to monitor my ads and to fine-tune them once we learned more about my audience.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked with a Google ads account manager and a social media account manager, both of who were very friendly, kept the complicated jargon to a minimum and at the same time helped me to build my knowledge and understanding of the digital marketing channels I chose. I found this extremely useful as when I first got started I was clueless. As time passed, I became more familiar with the back end of my analytics, which helped me to understand what was working for my business and what wasn't.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The ads were and still are a huge success for my business. I can't remember the last time I've had to cold call/email a company to look for work. Not only has the number of enquiries I have come through my inbox increased but so has the geographical locations I speak in too. My speaking work is now global and I inspire and motivate audiences around the world.
One of the highlights was having an enquiry come through from the Team GB Gymnastics team, who were heading off to Tokyo to compete the following month. The talk was a success and the team came home with a handful of gold medals! With the increase of enquiries, I now have someone on board to help keep my diary organised and to liaise with people who are looking to book me. I am shocked at how much my business has grown in such a small amount of time.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow has been wonderful. We have regular catchups on the phone which are very laid back and I always come off the phone feeling as though I have learned even more about digital marketing. We also schedule video calls and screen-share during these calls. This is brilliant as I am a visual learner and it allows us to navigate through the back end of my website/analytics and opens a space for conversation and questions, again, building my knowledge and understanding of effective digital marketing along the way.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was very impressed at how well everyone I have been in contact with knows their field of work. They are true experts and are constantly learning/winning awards and are excited to reach out with new ideas they think could help my business. The calls we have don't feel rushed, I've never been pushed into any form of contract/service and I feel like I have grown with Add People over the 3 years I have been working with the team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It would have been great for us to introduce video call catch-ups at an earlier stage of working together as it really helped me to understand the smaller details of what was happening with my ad campaigns. Once we did it was like everything became clearer and we haven't looked back.

I’m the director of Body Tonic Clinic, which is a health and beauty clinic based in central London. We provide health care to patients in the local community.

We initially hired them to run our Google Ads campaigns but now, their team now looks after several other aspects of our business. They manage several of our social media campaigns, creating and disseminating content across our platforms. Their team also provides on and off-page SEO services.

It’s great having a sounding board. After I scope work based on his advice, I call Carl for direction. Carl, Rowan, and I have a great collaboration. When we have new services or promotions, we all talk. We can directly correlate our engagement to our position on Google. Most of our services are either on the front page or in the top three positions in SERPs.
How did Add People perform from a project management standpoint?
Carl and Rowan are both epic. We measure content before putting it online. An internal expert creates the content and then Add People involves themselves in it. It’s like they work here, but they don’t. As this is my business, I’m motivated to get it right, so I work well with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re a great company. That’s down to the account management because I connect with Carl all of the time. I trust my team at Add People implicitly. I’ve dealt with other companies in different capacities and none of them come close to Add People.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Definitely consider working with Add People. When businesses start moving into SEO, they’re generally a growing business that’s cash-conscious. It’s important to consider your ROI. After starting our work with Add People, we quickly increased our spending based on our ROI. Trust them.

I'm a Director for an online bathroom retailer, we specialise in selling Mira Showers and brassware products.
For what projects/services did your company hire Add People, and what were your goals?
We had recently had a website created to take advantage of the online market place. Our site was not ranking well on Google so we employed Add People to try and improve the situation. Our aim was to increase our organic ranking on Google and to create a greater online presence using paid ads and make use of Google shopping.
How did you select Add People and what were the deciding factors?
After researching several online advertisers we took a trial with Add People. Within the first month they increased our online turnover drastically, I was also impressed by the professionalism of their team. For these reasons we have kept working with Add People.

We started with a telephone meeting to assess what was the best course of action to take to gain online sales.
Add People first proposed working on my Google Ads account to bring it up to scratch. They made some mock up snippets which I approved, then put them live. After several months of success with Google Ads, Add People recommended setting up a Google Shopping campaign. It only required a couple of phone calls with them and they created a really good campaign for me.
I then decided that I would increase the advertising budget so we could start working on improving the sites SEO. I was put in contact with Carl who has greatly improved my sites ranking through various methods. Firstly by working on the individual product ranking for my 10 top sellers and more recently by link building.
They have also greatly increased my sales from social media by using paid targeted ads on Facebook.

I have two main points of contact with Add People Jess who deals with Google Ads and Carl who does the SEO. I have also been in contact with Noria and Ben for the social media work. There are also several other members of the team who do a lot of the background work but who I don't have direct contact with.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
As soon as Add People started managing my Google Ads account there was a huge increase in online sales. These increases continued every month until the Coronavirus Pandemic caused problems with our supply chain.
As soon as Carl started working on the sites SEO there was a large increase in organic traffic. I'm not sure of the exact figure but our organic traffic has increased by several thousand percent.

After our initial telephone call most communication was done via email. We also scheduled telephone call approximately every two we to keep an eye on how things were progressing.

Prior to Add People taking over, my return on ad spend (ROAS) from the previous company averaged between 6 to 9x. Since taking over, my ROAS dropped down to 5x. At one point in February, it dipped below 3x.

My account manager was very quick at responding to my emails. When she was away, she made sure there was another point person for me to direct my questions. My account manager held timely meetings with me every 2 to 3 weeks to review results.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their sales team is very strong! They were great at pointing out weaknesses in my company, which resulted in me hiring them for additional services (Feedonomics)
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They should improve their strategy to scale my ad spend so that we wouldn't hit a huge dip in my ROAS and conversions. Offer me a higher skilled account manager. Exercise higher standard of care and ethics when I expressed my desire to discontinue their services before the contract period was up.
