I'm a Solutions Architect / Project Manager at an Automation & AI consulting company

For what projects/services did your company hire AcumenCog, and what were your goals?

We were working on a Salesforce implementation, with some custom components. We quickly realised that Apex would be critical to building some of these capabilities, and that getting support from experts would alleviate our development team from learning lots of new tools. This turned into a cross collaborative exercise with AcumenCog handling the Apex development, and us supporting everything else.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for Salesforce experts, and AcumenCog had that skillset.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

There were a number of custom integrations that had to be made from Salesforce to other systems. In fact, there are more than five separate pieces of software that are communicating back and forth with Salesforce. In addition to this, there is a lot of custom functionality within Salesforce itself, ranging from page layouts, to custom formulas, and advanced permissioning.

We would collect requirements, spec out the solution in detail, prioritise it amongst other issues, work with AcumenCog to build the right technical solution in Apex, and then test it to prepare the feature for deployment.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There was one main Salesforce developer working with us on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project has been completed, and all custom integrations are in production and operating with few to no errors. The system is very robust and is serving the client's needs better than the previous legacy CRM. This has led to higher rep productivity and satisfaction, and in the long run will save on costs.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

AcumenCog had their developer join us in sprint planning meetings, as well as use our communication tools such as Slack. There were never issues with timeliness.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with their excellent listening and problem-solving skills. The Salesforce developer had the pleasure of working with was incredibly meticulous and built high quality solutions that are working well in production today. AcumenCog is very willing to align their work style with yours, and to adapt over time as requirements evolve.

None.
