Increasing Organic Blog Traffic by 450%
Gigamon technology allows businesses to get the most out of their various network monitoring solutions.
The problem was that even though Gigamon specializes in helping businesses better direct their network traffic, they were having some trouble directing organic internet traffic to their site. Add to that fact that Gigamon was offering a very tech-heavy solution to a complex set of professional-level problems. The end result was that reaching qualified leads was going to take more than a ‘cast a wide net’ approach.
After taking a long hard look at the problem, we created a multi-pronged strategy designed to get the Gigamon site back in the game, and bring in the kind of site visitors that turn into customers.
We started by analyzing Gigamon’s top competitors to see what they were doing right. We then performed in-depth keyword research and TF-IDF analysis, to identify which terms were being searched, and which other terms were showing up frequently in ranked content. From there we worked with the client to brainstorm valuable, insightful content ideas — the kinds of ideas that would help capture the attention of the right audience. And finally, we dove into off-page link building efforts to build site authority and signal to Google that Gigamon’s pages were relevant and rankable.
In just 7 months, Gigamon saw
- organic traffic increase of 450%
- 42% increase in organic site traffic overall
To top it all off, our strategy of developing compelling and informative content was capturing the kind of visitors who want to take the next steps. And as such, we were turning organic traffic into actual revenue.

Going From Flatlined Traffic to Steady Growth
Progenex is a primarily web-based business that offers a range of protein-based products and is widely recognized as the go-to solution for high-intensity exercise.
Here’s the thing; Progenex had been working with 97th Floor since 2015. And in that time we were able to help Progenex capture some very impressive wins. But as time wore on, organic traffic began to stagnate. What had been working before wasn’t cutting it, and so, we had to go back to the drawing board.
Starting with tireless and in-depth keyword research, we figured out exactly what kind of content would resonate with the target Progenex audience. We brought our best content and design talent together, teamed them up with the Progenex content team, made sure everyone was onboard with the big-picture vision of each piece, and then put them to work.
With the content pieces finished and up on the site, it was just a matter of ensuring that relevant internal links were connecting each piece of content. We also built respectable external links to each piece with relevant anchor text. All this was done in order to increase authority to these pages and better signal to Google the relevance for each page’s respective key words.
As our on- and off-page optimizations took effect and our content grew legs, we started seeing the Progenex organic traffic increases we were after.
When we compared the last 12 months to this most recent 12 months, we saw a 17.06% increase in Google organic users. And a 26.17% increase in new users.

Cutting a 240-Day Sale Cycle to 90 Days
Qubole wanted the same thing that most businesses want; qualified leads and improved traffic. What made Qubole different was that the journey from lead to customer was a long one, nearly a full year. They came to 97th Floor looking for a comprehensive organic digital strategy to help shorten the process, while adding more volume to the top of the funnel. That meant high-quality landing pages and blog content, improved keyword rankings, hyper-targeted traffic, and increased conversions.
For Qubole’s digital marketing strategy, 97th Floor busted out every (ethical) move in the digital marketing playbook. SEO, social media, conversion rate optimizations, etc. But in the lead, content marketing was the real hero of the story. At the center of the strategy was tailored content that was painstakingly crafted to meet the consumer’s needs. Landing pages, blog posts, ebooks, whitepapers, buyers guides, if there were words on the site, you can bet we had a hand in it. After a content audit, the strategy 97th Floor built out pulled on targeted content focused on lead acquisition/nurture campaigns based on the buyer's journey.
Results:
- Cut sales funnel down from 240 days to 90 days
- 600% increase in organic traffic
- 300% increase in organic leads
- 376 targeted keywords ranking on the first page
- 20+ key product terms ranking #1

From door knocking to digital.
Vivint Solar had grown respectably large in its lifetime. The key to their growth you ask? Door-to-door sales. Second, call center sales. Vivint Solar needed a way to scale the business, expand to more markets, and create a truly inbound sales strategy.
Using our proprietary TF-IDF (semantic) method, we found important terms missing from the existing site. These were words and phrases that were showing up regularly in content that was ranking well for the keywords customers were searching. With that information, we updated 40 pages of site content.
We dove into the details to know Vivint Solar’s target audience and their needs and interests, and extrapolated these findings into content-driven keyword research project. With keywords in mind, we then began constructing SEO enhanced content designed to address those points. We created blog posts to populate the Vivint Solar website, and outlines for the internal Vivint Solar content team to write. We also supported this new and existing content with 20 high-quality backlinks each month.
In 4 months, Vivint Solar saw a 45% increase in organic sessions, year over year. An increase like this equates to hundreds of thousands of dollars with lifetime customer value. Users went up by 48.54%. New users increased by 48.62%. And sessions experienced a 44.94% boost.
But most importantly, we created a sustainable, ongoing digital strategy for Vivint Solar so they no longer have to rely exclusively on door-to-door sales and call centers. We turned the Vivint Solar site into a resource that customers could appreciate. And in so doing, we’re helping establish Vivint Solar as the center of the new home-solar universe.

Stop losing sleep over site traffic
Tomorrow Sleep site was severely lacking in engaging content. It wasn’t bringing in enough traffic, or customers. What they needed was a way to stand out from the crowd, and engage their audience on their site. We took 38 pages that were already living on the site, and we improved them by implementing in-depth keyword and TF-IDF research. Then we took this methodology and used it to inform 38 newly created pieces. We did the homework, found out what kinds of things mattress shoppers were interested in, and then we crafted engaging content that would draw in the visitors. The end result was a 1200% increase in daily organic traffic. That’s 12x the daily visitors Tomorrow Sleep had been hosting before we went to work.

Grabbing 6 Million Social Shares with One Campaign
O.C. Tanner offers leadership training — teaching companies how to develop a culture of employee appreciation from the ground up. When O.C.Tanner joined forces with 97th Floor, they had three goals in mind. First, they wanted a way to improve their online presence. Second, they were looking for a boost to their social authority. And lastly (but certainly not least), they needed more traffic to their site.
But here’s the thing. There are literally thousands of different online entities vying for the number-one SERP spots for this and related terms. And everyone one of them seems to be talking about the same thing: how to recognize employees and have a great workplace culture.
Instead of just joining the throng and rehashing the same old content, we chose to highlight the companies that were actually embodying these standards. And what better way to help them stand out from the SERP crowd than by pointing out the companies that were doing exactly that?
So we worked with O.C Tanner to launch a campaign aimed at celebrating the workplaces that celebrate their workforces. We created the “Coolest Companies to Work For” campaign. We would start by selecting a city. We would then run in-depth research on companies located within that city to find the ones that most effectively exemplified employee recognition. We would than build a blog post and a slide deck, highlighting our favorites, explaining their values, and identifying what it was that set them apart from the pretenders.
Results:
- The “Coolest Companies to Work For” campaign led to an unprecedented 41,000% increase in organic blog traffic.
- The campaign brought in 6,039,060 social shares.
- It reached over 5.2 million individual social media accounts.
- It resulted in 80,000 Slideshare views.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the office administrator for Waffle Love, a food-truck-turned-restaurant company. We have several food trucks and 10–12 restaurants all over the US.
What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
We hired 97th Floor to do online marketing for us via Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads.
What was the scope of their involvement?
97th Floor started with Facebook ads for our 6–8 stores in Utah. Then, we’ve also added a donut shop and hot chicken sandwich shop in their scope. In the last three months, we’ve added Google Ads, which has given our engagement a bigger scope. For deliverables, they send any piece of copy over for us to approve. After that, they post whatever we approve on Facebook and Instagram.
What is the team composition?
We work with 4–5 people.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
My boss was the one who found them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our company has been growing, and 97th Floor is doing great at improving our CTRs on every ad.
How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
The team itself is also highly organized. 97th Floor is clear about what they’re going to do, and they always get our approval first before doing anything. We do a Zoom call every other week, and then they send us an email recapping everything with links to every slide presentation. If they use certain images or graphs, they’ll also send those to our inbox a couple of hours after the meeting. Overall, they’re great at sending everything ahead of time for us to see. As a result, we get nice and organized emails with all of our action items.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re truly thorough with what they’re doing. They take us to their screen to show us what they’re seeing on their end, so they do it with every company we have from the waffle company to the chicken store.
The ads they come up with are also cute. They have a talented team coming up with ads that I wouldn’t mind seeing as a customer. On the backend of things, they’re highly thorough in showing us how we’re improving and how many people click on our ads.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go for it, and give them a try. They have a responsive team with each member focusing on different aspects of the project. You’ll be in good hands once you get to know the 97th Floor team. The team is friendly, and you can always have a nice face-to-face conversation with them. You’ll feel that they’re on your side, which is nice.

We were looking to increase our paid digital demand efforts, particularly on Google and LinkedIn.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For context, we’re a high-tech B2B company, and we have a distinct and precise set of audiences we are targeting. 97th Floor helps helped us create our digital strategy setup up the correct budget targets based on our goals. They determined the best mix of activities based on our goals and budget.
Right now we are focused on Google and LinkedIn because that is where our audiences are in their professional life, they’re not on Facebook or Instagram.
What is the team composition?
We work with 4–5 people.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
We wanted to ramp up our digital efforts and we knew a little bit about paid digital so we needed a firm that could help us with strategy and execution. We also wanted a firm that was good at presenting results, interpreting them, and constantly improving what we were doing. We interviewed about 4–5 firms, and we were impressed with 97th Floor’s knowledge of the marketplace and interaction with us. As a result, we hired them.

How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of project management, 97th Floor has a great communication style. The team is happy to meet with us every couple of weeks. They are also willing to meet with us more frequently depending on the circumstances and need.
Before each meeting, they tell us what we’re going to cover through a clear and concise email. After the meeting, they tell us a summary of what we’ve covered and what our teams are going to do.
What did you find most impressive about them?
97th Floor brings a lot of good ideas on how to refine what we’re doing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing significant. We have been very happy.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
97th Floor responds well when you have a clear goal. If you’re vague about what you want to accomplish, then it will be hard for them to react. If you tell them the outcomes you want to see, they’ll work well with you.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital marketing coordinator for a company that sells supplements in the health and wellness industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
I wanted to improve our organic SEO and ads performance, so I hired them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
97th Floor currently helps us drive traffic to our retailers. We’ve just started it, and we’re looking to grow the number of stores that we’re targeting. The team does their own research, which they propose to us. We then review, approve, or make changes to their proposals. From time to time, they also help us in retargeting Facebook ads, where they design ads and spin copy.
What is the team composition?
The team composition consists of 4–5 people, and we get a new team every nine months or so. This change happens mainly because members move up within their company.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
I found 97th Floor through another company in the health and wellness space. The company was doing amazingly well, so I wanted to find out who was working with them. They weren’t a direct competitor but they were in the same industry, which helped me find out about 97th Floor.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend around $75,000–$95,000 annually on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?

How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is excellent. We communicate by email and have biweekly calls. We also use a dashboard to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their research capability is the most impressive thing about working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
While they know so much and do plenty of research, 97th Floor should simplify things in an easier way, especially when other team members or I get involved. Other than that, all information is well-communicated.

SEO Services for B2B E-Commerce Platform
"Any time we have a question or a need, they go above and beyond for us. It’s a no-brainer to work with 97th Floor."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the content marketing manager for a B2B e-commerce platform where brands sell their product line to retailers.
What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
We needed help with growing our organic search rankings, so we hired 97th Floor for SEO purposes.
What was the scope of their involvement?
97th Floor did an initial audit of our and our competitors’ keywords. This provided us with a lot of great insight into what kind of search terms our audience was looking for in relation to what our product is. From there, we started going after certain search teams in an attempt to rank higher on the first page of search results.
What is the team composition?
We have a team lead, Kendra (Account Director), and 3–4 people helping her out with writing content around popular keywords.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
The previous company I worked for found 97th Floor when they were looking for an SEO agency. I believe they were recommended to us by the person who had put our website together. When I was brought to this new company, I installed 97th Floor for a contract as well.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’re on a six-month contract with 97th Floor and we’ve been renewing it since October 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Currently, our website’s organic reach has grown 40% year-over-year and a little over 20% month-over-month.
How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
97th Floor is super transparent, which is the reason why I continue to work with them. They’re not into guerilla marketing tactics; they really want to optimize for words that they think are truly best for the company. They don’t discourage us to go after high-volume terms because they think it’s something that’s in line with our brand and products.
They’re very communicative and hands-on. Any time we have a question or a need, they go above and beyond for us. It’s a no-brainer to work with 97th Floor.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We have really great transparency. When it comes to SEO it's easy to be surface-level, and not many agencies really take the time to get to know our brand and what we care about. However, everything with 97th Floor feels very authentic.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It seems like their junior members tend to move around quite a bit. I'm happy with the fact that our main contact has stayed with us for a while, but it’s kind of discouraging to see a lot of turnovers since we really want to get to know the people who work with us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. SEO can be a hard thing to wrap your head around but they're the type of agency that's willing to give you advice, help you out, and be very consultative throughout the entire process.

What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
We needed their expertise in SEO marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our ongoing engagement with 97th Floor started in November 2019.

Identify your needs and target market with accuracy, and their team will take it from there.

We hired 97th Floor to help us support our SEO efforts.
What was the scope of their involvement?

How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
When we were looking for a partner, we spoke to a lot of great SEO agencies. Ultimately, we chose 97th Floor because they were focused and oriented to results and performance. They didn’t pitch big ideas; they came prepared with a lot of research done and many strategical and tactical recommendations, forecasting the results that they were going to deliver.
Additionally, their team was very responsive, communicative, friendly, and easygoing, which also helped us select them over their competitors.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Assuming that their performance is as great all across the board, I would advise you to take advantage of their expertise to get the most out of the engagement.
Additionally, nothing is free nor achievable overnight. If you want great results, make sure that you have the funding to support those results.

SEO & PPC for Solar Energy Company
"I am and continue to be extremely pleased with everyone on their team."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Senior Brand Director in charge of Marketing & Advertising. I have been with our company for 5.5 years.
For what projects/services did your company hire 97th Floor, and what were your goals?
SEO & PPC. Grow our traffic, lead conversion rate, improve lead quality, and increase number of overall leads.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I have worked in the advertising industry for over 5 years. In that time, I've used 6-7 different digital agencies because I've never really quite been satisfied with the level of customer service I felt was promised to be before signing.
It is common for a lot of salespeople to over-promise and underdeliver with digital advertising services. Even if they get off to a great start, after a few months, things taper off and you're left with things sort of on auto-pilot and no updates, or optimization are made moving forward.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
We signed a 12-month annual contract for SEO work initially. Our goal was to increase keyword rankings online from a target list of our consumer's most searched key term phrases. We have been posting new blog articles and re-writing/designing our website pages to improve our rankings.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
When I first contacted them about doing business, they provided a free analysis of our website, campaigns, and had a whole plan laid out for me. They assigned 6 people to our account just for SEO each with a different role and goal to meet for our company.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We increased our organic traffic to our site 160% in just 5 months through SEO work, and that has in turn increased our overall conversions quite a lot. Earlier this summer, we signed an additional contract for them to take over our digital marketing.
I felt I could trust their team to provide similar results for our Google Ads, and social media advertising accounts. Our results with previous companies had been, disappointing to say the least given our high ad spend.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
From the very beginning, I knew they were on a whole different level than what I've seen previously. When I first contacted them about doing business, they provided a free analysis of our website, campaigns, and had a whole plan laid out for me. They assigned 6 people to our account just for SEO each with a different role and goal to meet for our company.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
97th Floor is the very first ad agency I've worked with who has provided a high-level, consistent level of customer service. I've had a contract with them in place since October of 2020 and I have been amazed at not only their level of detail they put into working with our account, but the results thus far.
Since launching in early June, we have increased our lead flow 80% from social media. I am and continue to be extremely pleased with everyone on their team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We have had a few account management switches due to promotions, paternity leave, etc, which made me nervous initially. But I am pleased with the progress we've made so far, and the level of attention to our business and our goals has not faltered and I am excited to see what progress we make in Q3.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior branding manager at FUEL CYCLE, a market research software company. I work in the marketing department and manage visual content, advertising, and branding.
What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
We wanted to become a thought leader in our industry, but we weren’t ranking highly on search results. Thus, people weren’t able to find our content for the terms and topics we needed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are our SEO consultants, providing different SEO audits on a monthly basis. Their team produces content outlines and helps optimize the website. They work with keywords and SEO strategy, all in the hope of generating more leads.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact is Brandon (Account Director, 97th Floor). We had a different account manager before we switched to Brandon, but he’s made it very seamless. There are four other members of the team: an SEO analyst, content specialist, and two others.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
We researched many different SEO agencies and brought five in to make proposals. 97th Floor was very nice, really smart, and came at the right price point for a small but growing company. They just ended up being perfect. We decided based on the people and their skills because we’re working with them a lot.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project has been going on for two years, starting in October 2017. The work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
SEO is a long process, but the quality of work been really great. It takes a good amount of testing and time to get articles ranked, but slowly we’ve seen our articles come up on the first and second pages of Google. In the past two months, we really saw SEO take off in combination with our PPC efforts and had the most successful month in the history of our company. We’ve started to expand to different demographics and get more conversions on the website.
How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
They are really good. We have biweekly meetings to run through our content outlines. They send us a call agenda and we review everything we did in our client index. Their team keeps tabs on us to make sure we’re getting articles done. Any time they find errors on the website, they send them over immediately so we can get them fixed. It’s a very streamlined and professional process.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The people and the quality of the work are great. They’re always happy to hop on a phone call. They take the time to teach us and make us better marketers, which you don’t get at many agencies. It’s a really cool growing experience.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ask to work with Brandon and his team. You should also learn as much as you can from them, and they will definitely help you out.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I operate the consumer-facing end of a lead generation company that helps users find the best insurance rates of optimal prices. As part of my role, I run articles, health surveys, and data entry, so customers can decide for themselves which insurance option suits them.
What challenge were you trying to address with 97th Floor?
We hired 97th Floor to keep our organic keyword rankings as high as possible.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our company exclusively uses organic search to generate leads and traffic, so it was important for us to keep our website as healthy as possible on Google. Their team handled our SEO, optimizing keywords for our site. They examine the success and performance of our keywords to inform how we can adjust to better keep our site competitive.
The team also helps with website design and development aspect of our site as needed. They act almost as a consultant to our company. All the work they do aims to get our site ranking higher on search engines. When Google shifts its algorithm, they adjust our strategy to keep our rankings strong.
What is the team composition?
We work with one account manager, who I deal with on a daily basis. There are also two additional professionals assigned to our account.
How did you come to work with 97th Floor?
They were already a partner with my company when I joined the team, so I inherited the relationship. In my position, I’ve had opportunities to replace partners, but never wanted to lose them because of the great work they do.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since 2015 and are still partners today.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m very pleased with the deliverables and can’t speak highly enough about their abilities. They’re responsive, straightforward, and able to produce something according to our requirements. If something we ask for is not possible for them, they always communicate that, which I greatly appreciate.
How did 97th Floor perform from a project management standpoint?
I couldn’t be happier. They’ve worked through struggles and challenges to get us where we need to be. Like I said before, I speak with my account manager almost every day to ensure things are moving smoothly. I’m pleased with what they’ve done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They feel personally invested in us and our products because of the work they put into our relationship. Our partnership has always been a collaborative, team effort. They’ve developed and nurtured our continued growth.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It’s hard to predict a perfect fit for other companies, but it’s definitely worth it to investigate a partnership with them.
The company has seen improved CTRs and business growth, thanks to 97th Floor’s services. The team has been highly organized and responsive, and their thoroughness in checking their work has been their best strength. The team members are also highly talented, creating ads that satisfy the client.
