Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of an eco-friendly manufacturing company that focuses on feminine hygiene. We’re also expanding into baby care products like baby diapers that are made from plant-based ingredients.
What challenge were you trying to address with 404 DM?
We were looking for marketing services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
404 DM provides digital marketing services, helping with copywriting, graphics, and blog infographics. The team helps with social media, designing a few aesthetics for tweets, blog posts, videos, Instagram stories and image copies, post copies, and other communication methods. They help us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and our blog.
What is the team composition?
We have one point of contact. I’ve spoken with the CEO and co-founders quite a few times.
How did you come to work with 404 DM?
I met the co-founder and CEO during TechCrunch. I liked that they were very flexible. They didn’t care if our budget was low or high. They were open to offering all the options that were on the table.
They didn’t ask for any commitments for a 3–6 month period. They wanted us just to see how things go. The team sent us a basic example of different options and templates they could provide.
After a month or so of communication, we decided to go ahead with them for marketing services. They were the first company we hired for marketing, and we’ve been working with them since.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend $1,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with 404 DM started in December 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It’s been a very pleasant experience working with them so far. We’re happy with what they offer, and we will continue to work with them. They provide a monthly report, and it’s more a brand image that they’re helping us build.
All the content that they help us put out there is directly related to the sales and followers we’re getting. The number of followers has increased every month.
How did 404 DM perform from a project management standpoint?
I’m very satisfied with the project management. Their team gives us a brief outline of what the month is going to look like, and then they coordinate with what we want in terms of copy.
They coordinate with their in-house copywriting team, the infographics team, and their graphic designer. It’s very organized, and we’re delighted with it. It’s a streamlined process. There are no issues with communication, and it’s very efficient and effective. They’re easy to work with.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I won’t look for another agency. I’m happy with what 404 DM provides.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Tell them exactly what you have in mind so their team can put their best work forward. We went back and forth a little bit to get the brand personality of what I have in mind to come to a point where there’s less back and forth.
I think that happens with every company. Getting to the point where they understand what you want exactly is the key. If you can get that across very effectively, then after the first month, the speed of work was very quick.
