Technology-Forward Creative Agency
We don’t just build brands that look good. We build brands that work well.
3 Owl is a technology-centered branding agency serving those with bright visions and bold ambitions. We build data-driven creative solutions that adapt to clients changing needs and support transformational growth. We proudly call Atlanta home as our clients take us around the world.
Strategy
Successful brands start by pinpointing not just who you are as an organization, but why your business exists. This is why strategic thinking and planning is always the first step in our process. We research and establish the truths that make up the core of your business, hone in on the correct target audience, and determine the “why” before we create any “whats”.
Visual Identity
We’re here to help build an emotional connection between brands and consumers, and that means more than just a pretty logo. (Don’t worry, you’ll get one of those too). Our iterative process stays strategically sound and based in research so our time creating is spent efficiently and results in unique and scalable identities.
Language and Communication
Beautiful brands simply work better when language is held to the same high standards of creativity. We establish distinctive voices for our brands based on the same research from which we design to create an entire ecosystem which can be applied across all touchpoints.
Fully Custom Web Development
We build fully customized websites and digital experiences. Proper tech makes for better brands.
No project is “one size fits all”. We build a shared project understanding by assessing all existing technologies from content management system down to hosting configuration. Once we understand your technology systems, we’ll build a flexible content management system to ensure your site is flexible and scalable (and of course, easy for you to update).

WooCommerce Dev & Redesign for Parenting Knowledge Store
"They were organized, communicative, and met deadlines."

Please describe your company and your position there.
We provide parenting resources for birth through toddlerhood. We have several products, a consultant network and extensive knowledge center.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
Our old website was a mess of plug-ins, workarounds and outdated technology. From a user experience perspective it was slow, confusing and hard to read. From an ownership perspective, it was cumbersome to manage, prone to cyber attacks and unable to support the analytics reporting that we needed.
We needed a website that aligned with our mission -- to simplify parenting by cutting out the noise and providing practical, straightforward advice. This means that our website should be easy to navigate, easy to tired, sleep-deprived eyes to read and fast. Meeting these objectives would also provide the added benefit of increased conversions, search engine visibility and traffic.
How did you select 3 Owl and what were the deciding factors?
3 Owl "got it". From the very first conversation, they established themselves as a partner and extension of our team that was truly invested in the best interests of our company.
They understood that while we know our clients best, we don't know the technology best, and found the perfect balance of providing the client experience we envisioned with the most effective use of technology. They listened and took the time to truly understand our business.
They provided recommendations and options that were clearly thought out from end-to-end -- what it would be mean for the client experience, how it would be executed, and what the downstream implications would be. They were organized, communicative, and met deadlines.
They stayed on budget and always provided estimates ahead of time, with the option to scale up or down depending on needs. They took the time to give thoughtful, specific guidance. All of our crazy ideas were answered with "the answer is always yes, but here are the different things we need to consider".
It felt like a true partnership, with the appropriate amount of structure to remain agile and execute quickly.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
3 Owl took our existing WordPress site that was built on a standard theme with many plug-ins and WooCommerce, redesigned it and rebuilt the site using a custom theme while maintaining our main integrations which helps us to cut down on costs and launch time significantly.
Included in the site redesign was a complete design overhaul that is completely ADA compliant, new copy, new organization to our WooCommerce store, new product photos and brand new pages for our extensive Knowledge Center and consultant network.
They did all of this within 3.5 months, finishing on time, despite it being a holiday week. Our site was launched in conjunction with a huge promotion (which was risky) but the site performed and we had resources on call to handle anything that popped up quickly.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with a number of people from 3 Owl including David, the founder and CEO, Brandon, the copywriter, Justine, their project manager and indirectly with their development and creative leads.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The promotion we ran in coordination with the new website launch resulted in a 500% increase over our previous one day sales record.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
3Owl utilizes Monday which is an extremely transparent and user friendly task management system to track all deliverables, upload files and provide updates. The applications used to provide site design mock-ups, our project proposal and all other materials were top notch and made the collaboration process seamless and efficient.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The feeling that they were an extension of our team. Just the right amount of structure to not be cumbersome and pave the way for efficiency and collaboration. The thoughtfulness that went into every recommendation. The transparency and open lines of communication.
They even graciously jumped in to help us after hours a few times for issues with our existing site! They have partnered with our other vendors beautifully to ensure smooth transitions and keep everyone on the same page.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The only thing we may do differently would be to not launch on a holiday week, but that was our own doing!

Please describe your company and your position there.
ATL Collective is a musician support and development arts organization. I'm the Treasurer of the Board and acting CFO.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl?
A full rebrand - new logo, style guide, copy, website, marketing collateral including poster/flyer, social & email templates
What were your goals for this project?
Our transition from a for-profit to a non-profit warranted a complete overhaul of our brand and all marketing collateral including a new website.
How did you select 3 Owl?
A subcommittee reviewed several agencies but having worked with 3 Owl previously on marketing and the excellent work they had already done for us (and the fact that we were getting a special non-profit rate) they were a clear choice.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The discovery process was extensive and impressive ranging from a design charrette with our team to interviews with multiple stakeholders - audience members, musicians, production, ALT Collective team & board, and sponsors. They then met with our marketing team on a regular basis allowing us multiple opportunities for feedback along the way. The scope was broad - full re-branding including website, logo, style, copy, SEO, templates and other collateral - but 3 Owl seemed to have deep expertise in their team for all components.
What was the team composition?
We mostly worked with an Account Manager who was super helpful, and directly with the Creative Director who also gave a fantastic pitch / reveal of the brand at our annual fundraiser that was just incredible.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our operations have changed considerably due to Covid, so it's hard to show specific metrics, but we've had an overwhelmingly positive response from stakeholders in the community and are doing remarkably well given the current economic climate - in large part thanks to the rebrand.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
3 Owl were very patient with transitions in leadership and were like clockwork at all marketing team meetings. No complaints!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We got what I would consider world-class branding at an accessible rate for our nonprofit. The thought and care that went into everything was first rate. They are exceptional storytellers as well as visual creatives and have a solid technical team to back everything up.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I think we were lucky to get to work with them!

I am a director at a Jewish organization in Atlanta.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
Our website needed to be updated to be more secure, run faster, and be mobile optimized.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
3 Owl has a great reputation within Atlanta's Jewish community and has worked with a lot of companies we partner with.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
3 Owl updated our WordPress site, set up security scanners, and optimized it so it had a 90+ Google Sitespeed score. They also moved our site to a faster server with daily backups. Ou
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our main point of contact was Kaitlyn, their Account Manager as well as David, the CEO.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our site runs much faster now (90+ Google SiteSpeed) and we have not had any security issues since 3 Owl made their updates. Our website has sensitive material and is Jewish-faith-based and is a target for hacks. We are pleased at how much better our site runs and sleep better at night knowing that our security is best in class!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
3 Owl used Monday.com to communicate all project details. They also set up a custom email address for us message where all of our requests went straight to Monday. They responded to all requests super quickly and if I ever needed to hop on the phone, they always answered. Project management is definitely one of their strengths.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I've been impressed with how they make us feel like we're the only client they have. They catered to our very specific needs. They are also extremely knowledgeable in Web Technology and always had answers for us (and were always patient to explain technical matters to us).
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None that I can think of!

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the VP of Marketing for a Texas based restaurant group that has 19 locations across the state.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
We were looking for a partner that could be a one stop shop delivering a wholistic digital strategy solution. We were desperate to capture the ToGo guest that emerged over Covid, drive them to a seamless web experience, and retain them as a loyal guest with targeted digital solutions.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
3Owl was referred to us as digital experts that had cracked the code in terms of a sales funnel for restaurants. They looked beyond the "vanity metrics" of likes, shares, & reach, and turned that traffic into simple trackable ROI solutions.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
3Owl started by building a new website geared towards converting web traffic into trackable sales. The site skyrocketed online order conversion from 1% to 17% overnight. Guest data capture helped grow our eblub membership by 12%. The visual and functional website guest experience immediately impacted in-store traffic. Attribution ads drove guests from social media to online ordering and delivered a 100% trackable ROI for social ads.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked closely with: - David the Owner - Brandon the Creative Director - Kaitlyn the Account Manager
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We could not be happier with 3Owl's results. They took an archaic website and turned the platform into a revenue driver that integrated with our social strategy and spend.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
3Owl holds weekly calls, answers immediately when called, and even took a team trip from Atlanta to Texas to visit our restaurants.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive thing about 3 Owl is their ability to deliver long-term solutions with a small shop mentality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No.

Please describe your company and your position there.
At the time of this project I was the Marketing Manager of a parent company that manages multiple brands in the Outdoor Industry.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl, and what were your goals?
Our website was outdated and was not responsive. We always used custom code sites in the past, which made it very challenging to update. We would continuously use the help of individual developers, but that experience was challenging and costly.
By working with 3 Owl, not only did we get a fantastic new responsive website, but 3 Owl made every step of the way super easy and enjoyable experience.
How did you select 3 Owl and what were the deciding factors?
We had created a request for proposal and submitted it to about 12 web design firms. We then narrow those down to three in-person interviews, and then we selected 3 Owl. We selected them due to the following factors: their body of work was excellent, intelligence level clearly off the charts, and fantastic communication.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick off meeting and started right away. We had a list of needs, and they were all meet with exceeding results.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We only communicated with 1-2 people during the whole project.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching our site, our brand looked light years ahead of our competition.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We mostly handled are communication through phone calls, zoom calls and emails. Never was there a time we could not get a hold of one of their team members.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
After getting to know our company, brand, and customers, it was like they had become an extension of our company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I have nothing that I would have changed about the way this project turned out.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I own an entertainment company called MARS Creations LLC where I manage various entertainment projects including my music project The Tin Man.
For what projects/services did your company hire 3 Owl?
I hired 3 Owl to help create a logo and branding strategy for my music project The Tin Man. I worked closely with them on designs as well as overall marketing and branding strategy.
What were your goals for this project?
My gold was to create a brand identity that gave people an immediate sense of what the Tin Man brand was about and what to expect from the music itself.
How did you select 3 Owl?
I was familiar with 3 Owl's previous work and sought them out specfiically.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Their work included number of interviews, meetings, logo designs, strategy documents, colors, mockups, etc.
What was the team composition?
The team consisted of me, the owner of 3 Owl, and their lead designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The outcome was magnificent. The logo has gone on to be used in numerous merchandise items, and the strategy culminated in a successful website, merch campaign, and radio promotion.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was seamless and fluid. It was easy to communicate with them, and the responsiveness was outstanding.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their commitment to truly great design without sacrificing the needs and desires of the client. Coupled with reasonable rates and great communication, it was a no brainer. I'd work with them again in a heartbeat.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not that I can think of. I had a great experience.
3 Owl's delivery resulted in a 500% increase in sales over the client's one-day sales record. As a team, they performed like an extension of the partner's in-house team, rather than an external one. They were quick and reliable, but they stayed on budget and provided estimates ahead of time.
