Please describe your company and your position there.
LevelField is building a Digital Asset Focused Investment Platform with a Full-Service US Chartered Bank at its foundation to bring Digital Assets and Traditional Finance together. I am the Head of Retail Platforms at LevelField Financial, where I work on product management.
For what projects/services did your company hire 10Clouds?
website design, animations, platform design (desktop and mobile app)
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I looked for the highest quality design team that was located outside the United States. I shopped 30 teams, and 10 Clouds blew me away. I looked at their website, dribble, and behance. Their team, animations, awards, and previous work sold me.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After showing the team what LevelField is about, our brand, etc, we started development on both the website and the desktop platform simultaneously. 10 Clouds worked with us to improve, tweak, and redesign all aspects of the look/feel of what we are building. They worked with us on website animations, as well as an animated video for marketing material. Their level of communication was superb, and made themselves available at inconvenient hours to work with us. 10 Clouds always showed us multiple variants along the way, and we would discuss things in detail initially to avoid redundant work.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work with 4 people regularly, a project manager, a UX designer, and 2 UI designers. We scale up and down website developers to get up and running with updates.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
LevelField.us will showcase the website design work they did for us. It also shows images of our mobile app and desktop platform. Early October, you will be able to see the video 10 Clouds produced for us to sell one of our products to banks and credit unions by clicking News and filtering by Videos/Podcast.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have regular meetings twice a week, one biweekly call with 10 Clouds management. The design team chats with us regularly on the app of our choice (Teams). We have impromptu calls with specific members as needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The communication and quick creative solution options The designers at 10 Clouds are genuinely excited about what we are doing. They understand what we are building well as if they were true LevelField employees.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
10Clouds has been great. We've been actively working to increase hours per week and to increase the team.

- Front-end Development

Crescent - Finance app with high-yield interest
Crescent is a finance app making high-yield interest accessible to all.
Crescent came to 10Clouds for support with building the frontend of its app, complete with UX and product design.
The initial product was intended to be a crypto-investing platform for beginners, but it later pivoted to become a high yield savings tool powered by crypto. The platform offers users 100x higher interest rates compared to traditional savings accounts with up to 6% APY, no minimums, and no hidden fees. Users can increase their interest by activating boosts and supporting the causes they care about with an inbuilt Social Impact feature.
The company’s decision to pivot was mainly due to the regulatory environment changing in the US, but Crescent is still planning to launch the investment part of its product as it scales.

Forbes - The Forbes Dashboard
Marketing managers spend too much time gathering analytic data of branded content campaigns published on their websites. Scouting for data from various sources, putting it together, and passing it to clients is often a difficult and needlessly complicated process. Forbes and its clients needed an all-in-one tool for managing and monitoring their campaigns.
10Clouds created a design for the Forbes Dashboard - an intuitive web tool that gathers, displays, and exports multi-source analytic data for Forbes campaigns. The dashboard can be used by both Forbes’ staff and clients. It’s giving them direct access to data, thus saving both sides a lot of time. This solution wouldn’t work without spot-on design and data visualization - that’s what we delivered.
We were responsible for:
- Heuristic Audit,
- UX Design,
- UI Design.

Omise - Trade cryptocurrency with ease
Omise is a payment gateway for Thailand, Japan and Singapore. The company developed a new innovative exchange platform based on their OmiseGo protocol. The platform needed a fresh, user-friendly design with a smooth running experience on any device.

Aleph Zero - New generation blockchain
Aleph Zero’s value proposition has to do with ensuring a new generation of an all-in-one public blockchain. In addition to solving the trilemma challenges of speed, security, and decentralization, the project also enables an innovative approach to privacy by combining ZK-Proofs with Secure Multiparty Computation, and doing so in a purely software-based fashion.
Aleph Zero needed to work on its infrastructure for the upcoming Mainnet launch and they didn’t have the time to wait a few months before hiring in-house team members. They needed somebody who could build an AWS infrastructure for their devnets, testnet and Mainnet.

Datacapt - Clinical data management system
Datacapt is a Cloud-based Clinical data management system providing easy-to-use features for your clinical research. It enables users to efficiently build and deploy trials, save time and increase the quality of their outputs.
According to extensive market research and numerous interviews with clinical research experts, the most significant problem is that the available clinical trial management platforms are outdated and do not meet user needs. The goal, therefore, was to create an innovative and unique app that would revolutionize the entire clinical research industry.
We were responsible for:
- UX Design,
- Product Design,
- Development.

Samsara - Using 3D to explain complex processes
Samsara is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud. Its mission is to increase the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of the operations that power the global economy. Samsara’s portfolio of complete Internet of Things (IoT) solutions combine hardware, software, and cloud, to surface actionable business insights and enable organizations to make more data-driven decisions.
Their main challenge was centered on how to present complex processes in a visually engaging and easy-to-understand way.
The 10Clouds Team consisted of a Senior illustrator, a 3D Graphic Designer, and a 3D Motion Designer.
We worked using a number of different tools, including Cinema 4D for 3D modeling, Octane and Corona for rendering, After Effects for composing the animations and post-production, and Photoshop/Procreate for sketching and concept work. The clear delineation of responsibilities and scopes of work for each employee allowed us to focus on the details of the illustrations and to provide the client with a high-quality output.
Our biggest development challenge was collecting information from Samsara on each operation’s process, analyzing which points should be pulled out, and determining how the data should be presented visually. The follow-up challenge was adapting the processes to each market, and making the designs appealing to each geographical demographic. This is why we created unique 3D models for each client region and different language versions including those for Mexico, the UK, Germany, and the United States.

Smogdog - Keep track of the air you're breathing
Smogdog is a mobile app created by 10Clouds to generate awareness of the effects of highly polluted air. Carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, particulates, and many other air pollutants form smog – the environmental nightmare hanging over many European cities. The smog levels frequently breach the statutory limits, especially in the winter. SmogDog can help you take action, particularly when it comes to protecting those with existing respiratory conditions. It includes native ML models to predict air pollution and it’s absolutely free to use.

Altruisto - Technology driving charitable income
We’re very pleased to be part of Tech to The Rescue, a voluntary movement of tech companies to help social impact organizations around the world implement digital solutions. As part of the initiative we’ve worked with Altruisto, a not-for-profit organization whose aim is to solve societal problems. It raises funds for initiatives primarily related to animal suffering, COVID-19 and extreme poverty.
10Clouds’ work significantly increased the number of product users, and boosted the overall conversion rate by 22% (compared to the previous version of the website). The internal team was confident that it would lead to further expansion and product growth. Each conversion of course meant more money donated to a charitable cause.
“During our cooperation with 10Clouds, we focused on what is most important in every startup at an early stage of development - to increase the number of users. We started with a workshop where a dozen solutions were proposed that we could implement together. We decided to focus on the foundations and reimagine how we want to present ourselves on our website. As a result, thanks to the new landing page, our conversion increased by 22% (I encourage you to visit join.altruisto.com). We hope this will allow for faster growth and, as a result, more lives saved.”
Daniel Wyrzykowski
Founder at Altruisto

Lite ID - It's never been easier to submit your ID
10Clouds built the Lite ID app for Trust Stamp, the main idea being to create a platform for secure data sharing.
The user can generate a mobile version of their ID. During the onboarding process the official government documents are compared with the face scan. The process involves document verification, proof of liveness (i.e. anti-spoofing procedure) and ultimately a download of the relevant fields in the ID (such as Name, Address etc.)
Then when a particular piece of data is needed - e.g. a user’s age, only this information is passed over to the third party, while everything else remains anonymous.

MaidGrow - Top house cleaning business estimates
MaidGrow is a house cleaning estimate calculator app both for web and mobile. It helps house cleaning businesses to calculate the costs and price the service accordingly. It allows the management of potential clients and their estimates.
10Clouds created a web app, as well as mobile apps for Android and iOS using the cross-platform framework React Native. In order to create a unified user experience, we created a serverless back-end solution using Firebase and Stripe for the payments system. By doing this, we were able to provide a really cost-effective solution that met the client's needs.
Technology choice: Vue for simplicity, React Native for mobile to share the codebase between platforms, Firestore and serverless Firebase Functions as backend
Design choices: Tweaked UI Libraries so we save time on building UI controls from scratch
Agile approach: since the budget was the biggest constraint, we could adjust the project from the beginning to meet the final goal.

Navigating the Information-Polluted World
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s very easy to become a victim of unconfirmed or specifically-designed fake news or simply misinformed sources. This creates chaos, uneducated opinions, and conflicts among people.
The problem of course reaches far beyond COVID-19, and the platform created for the University of Pennsylvania is a solution that can be later enhanced to be more universal and cover a vast array of different topics
10Clouds was responsible for the UX/UI and front-end development of the platform. During initial calls, our designers provided extensive mood boards to the client to properly match the future design with the client’s perspective and needs.
Then, we moved to the wireframe stage, and after they were accepted, we created the full design of the platform. The biggest challenge was to create a structure that would show the user different perspectives on the topic within the browser space. To alleviate the problem of cognitive bias, users have easy access to different perspectives on a given topic within one line on the screen.
The website is created in Vue.js with a focus on Responsive Web Design to provide a seamless user experience on every device.

SherlockWaste - Change frustration into innovation
Companies are always faced with initiatives or suggestions for improvements from their employees. However, these employees do not always have the opportunity or tools at their disposal to bring their ideas to life and benefit the business. The problem we and the client faced was how to encourage employees to give feedback quickly and easily and propose company-wide initiatives.
Sherlock Waste is a mobile app that enables employees to report new problems, suggest improvements, generate ideas, implement solutions, and monitor effects. The platform is supported by the gamification process in the form of a ranking and voting model that employees can use.

Keyforge - Improving the gaming experience
KeyForge is a new card game released by Fantasy Flight Games. The KeyForge game platform is used by thousands of players all over the world every day. One of the main functionalities of the website is card decks registration which allows players to add their deck of cards to the collection.
10Clouds built an official mobile and web application for it. With Master Vault, users can quickly scan their cards, add notes or track their stats.
In just five days after its release, players have registered 100,000 decks online, and the app has been downloaded more than 10,000 times. The tool was warmly received by the community.

Skedulo pushed larger bodies of work to our team, be it new features, or creating quick prototypes of various ideas in order to validate them quickly. The team worked quite autonomously under the supervision of a PM on 10Clouds’ end.

AdShares - Link Brands & Publishers on Blockchain
Adshares is a decentralized marketplace for programmatic advertising. Adshares uses blockchain to connect Publishers and Advertisers and let them make direct deals using the ADST.
Adshares is a peer-to-peer platform that eliminates the middlemen in the advertising process. Advertisers only pay for ads after analyzing traffic sources, and publishers always have the ability to choose the most suitable ads for their websites and devices. This makes Adshares transparent and flexible to both parties involved. Ads provided via Adshares are difficult to track by AdBlockers, and the fee is just 0,1% of the transaction value — which positively affects costs and revenue.
10Clouds redesigned the landing page, is developing the Adserver, and provides the development of applications interacting with their custom-built ESC blockchain.

Trusted Mail - Facial biometrics for emails safety
Trusted Mail brings unparalleled security to your email communication. This multiplatform solution encrypts messages and secures them from unauthorized access. Instead of unreliable passwords, it uses state-of-the-art facial recognition technology to verify users. Trusted Mail users can access their messages and attachments only after facial-biometric sign-in. Trusted Mail’s facial recognition technology cannot be fooled by (e.g.) a photo. Based on the verified ID document, the system confirms the user’s identity.
To enable end-to-end encryption across all platforms, we've built iOS and Android apps, a Chrome plugin that seamlessly expands basic Gmail functionality, and an Outlook plugin to integrate with Office365.

Arroe battery management - Optimum charging
Never forget to charge your device, and always know when to plug-in, what voltage to use, and how long it will take until your device’s batteries are 100% full. Simply add all your phones, tablets, computers, and Arroe power banks to the battery management app and integrate them with a charging calendar.10Clouds was responsible for UX/UI design and branding, as well as mobile, desktop, and backend development of Arroe. Battery management is location-based - notifications users get vary between home, office, or anywhere we choose. The main functions include:
- Battery life extension
- Optimized charging times
- Notifications when the device is charged or needs charging
- Machine learning battery predictions
- ARROE Smart Charging System and Desktop client

Displate - When to iterate beyond MVP
Displate is a global marketplace for artwork printed on metal. The company is based in Poland and requires more talent, especially in IT, to keep growing at such a fast rate (over 6 million “displates” sold over 9 years to customers all over the world.) A large Employer Branding campaign was planned to reach potential employees, and 10Clouds helped design and deliver the main landing page.

Zapp RideShare - Renting eco electric cycles
Zapp RideShare is a personal electric cycle rental service operated using a mobile app. Users can locate, rent and ride electric scooters to commute around their cities or university campuses. It’s a fun, easy, and green way to get around town. The whole process is handled by a user-friendly mobile app, which allows users to localize the nearest available cycles, unlock them, and pay for the rental.
10Clouds built Zapp’s mobile apps from scratch, providing smooth user experience and eye-catching design. We also took care of the entire management system which allows the owner to run his business smoothly.

Language Muse - The Key of Learning English Fast
Language Muse is an NLP-based educational platform for teachers working with U.S. students who face the challenge of learning English as their second language. It automatically generates ready-to-use language activities based on texts provided by the teacher-users.
Teachers can easily track students' activity and progress. The app also has a text library built in and lets users filter it by tags. What's more, students can be grouped into classes, which allows teachers to efficiently manage them and track their progress.
In this project, 10Clouds took care of design and web development. To improve the UI, we created user journeys, personas profiles, test scenarios, and conducted usability studies.

Playground - Pushing the limits of Mobile Designs
Playground is a mobile app that showcases 10Clouds design and development skills. We have allowed our designers to unleash their creativity fully and blended their ideas with intuitive UX and flawless code written in React Native, Kotlin and Swift. The open-sourced app consists of three modules that developers can modify and use.
PlayGround proves that with the cooperation of great designers and skillful developers, everything is possible. The set of three modules pushes the boundaries of mobile animations that are both beautiful and usable. We want others to get inspired by PlayGround, so everyone can download the source code, modify it, and even use it in another project free of charge.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a founder and executive of a cryptocurrency-backed collateralized lender. We specialize in cryptocurrency-backed mortgages and cryptocurrency-collateralized funds.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We needed to develop our full suite of products. We’d just fundraised our seed round, so we had to build our website, manage integrations, and create internal technology to support loan servicing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds helped us develop a web and mobile app from scratch. We utilized their design, development, and copywriting services. The team orchestrated a complete custom build. They were responsible for 3D animations and UX/UI design and provided additional support with marketing materials. They used Figma for the design components of the project.
First, we went through a series of calls to review the product’s features and share an overview of our vision. We had a baseline idea of how the product should look, but we were integrating it with various backend providers to help build our custodial trading solutions and other product parameters.
We weren’t sure how to go about the integration, so we planned to design the website’s functionality and work backward from there. 10Clouds supported us through an ongoing discovery and design phase that started with a product mock-up. Then, they uncovered the technology pieces, handled integrations with third-party providers, and helped us build databases to manage certain product components.
The app enables users to create and manage their accounts. Users can also utilize the trading functionality for cryptocurrency assets. We also have a loan servicing feature as a backend tool for users to submit loan applications.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a team of 14: two project managers, two graphic designers, two UX/UI designers, one technical lead, three backend engineers, two frontend engineers, and two QA engineers.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
We found 10Clouds through a referral from a friend. We were impressed with the results of their partnership, so we decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about $500,000 in the partnership.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2022–March 2023.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched the app yet, but everything 10Clouds has built functions as expected. Moreover, our investors have been very impressed with the product’s clean UX and ease of use. While it’s not live yet, the initial feedback has been top-notch.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
We didn’t know how complicated this project would be, so we didn’t have a set budget or timeline. I’ve worked on other technology products and can say that 10Clouds worked efficiently and didn’t waste time.
We used Jira, Asana, GitHub, and Miro to manage the project. We also met for daily stand-ups. Their in-house team was awesome; we communicated through Slack and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with how involved and communicative they were. We worked together effectively, and 10Clouds was invested in the product’s success. They consistently went above and beyond for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t fault them for this, but one of our best project managers from 10Clouds took another job. However, they replaced the project manager with an equally qualified individual.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d discourage you from handing over the project and walking away. You’ll get more value from the partnership if you’re more involved and hands-on. You get out what you put in, so I recommend getting involved and meeting for daily stand-ups.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a department head at a manufacturing company.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We needed someone to help us with custom development for web-based tools.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds has built software tools for us so that we can configure the control system we’ve been developing. This system is an electronic, web-based software system that allows users to interact with our product. To use it, they log into the system online. Once logged in, they can configure the hardware we offer.
Initially, we provided 10Clouds with the proof of concept (POC) for our control system, and they modified it, making them a commercially sustainable product. For this project, it was critical for us that the product looked fancy. Thus, their team has focused a little bit on UX design, although their primary focus has been backend development. Additionally, they’ve helped us with some development tasks related to our marketing website.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with 4–5 people from 10Clouds at any given time, depending on the project’s phase. People on their team have different areas of expertise, so we’ve worked with different resources, including a backend developer, a UX designer, and a product delivery manager.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
10Clouds was already working with us on our marketing website when this project arose — another team within our company established that contract. Thus, after that project, we decided to hire them to create a custom app for us.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them on this project in August 2022, and the project will be completed in January 2023.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched the control system yet, and we plan to use it for a pilot project. Still, we’re very confident that everything will work well because we’ve tested every new feature 10Clouds has delivered. Although we’ve found bugs every now and then, their team has quickly addressed and solved time for us. Overall, the entire project has been very good.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
10Clouds is great regarding communication. We have weekly progress reviews and use the same platforms to address items and improvements. For example, we’ve joined a Slack channel and a Jira board, which are our main two collaboration platforms. Moreover, we use Microsoft Teams for video calls. Overall, ours is a close collaboration, and we operate as a single team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
10Clouds’ speed is impressive; they’re able to quickly assemble teams with all the backgrounds needed for the project at hand. Within a few weeks, they managed to put together a team with expertise in frontend development, backend development, and UX design to work on our project. Moreover, that team was able to understand what we needed with very little input, so we didn’t have to put in the extra effort in writing detailed requirements.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if 10Clouds improved their hour tracking. They usually provide time estimates and send us the invoices afterward. However, that approach can be challenging because we have to monitor the hours ourselves because we’re not working on a fixed budget. Initially, we considered asking them for a fixed price for the project, but they preferred working on an hourly basis. Thus, my advice would be to provide us with more insight into the hours they use.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
10Clouds bills per hour, so you have to check the invoice monthly to see how many hours they have spent. Other than that, I recommend working with 10Clouds; they have various areas of expertise under one roof.

What is the team composition?
We work with 4–5 teammates from 10Clouds, all senior software engineers for JavaScript.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
I knew 10Clouds through other companies that used them and knew they were good at what they do.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $300,000–$600,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2019, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
10Clouds delivers high-quality code, and the applications they’ve developed are mostly bug-free.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a good approach to communication and project management setup. Moreover, the team is transparent and meets their timelines; I’ve never had issues with the project’s status or missing features or milestones.
They use Jira and Confluence for project management, and we communicate via Slack and Microsoft Teams.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with the quality of 10Clouds’ work; we’ve never had issues with their code.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at a music company; we help artists and musicians create NFTs and digital communities using Blockchain technology.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We wanted to develop a new platform and needed to replace our internal development resources with an outsourced development firm.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds has provided us with custom software development services. They’ve helped us design and develop the back- and frontend of our new NFT platform from scratch. We’ve used a combination of JavaScript, Python, and Solidity development to create a community-building platform for musicians.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with roughly eight team members, including a project manager, account manager, two backend developers, a frontend developer, a UI/UX designer, and a Q&A developer.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
We were searching for development partners online and came across 10Clouds. After our initial meetings, 10Clouds seemed to be the best fit for our needs, so we moved forward with the engagement.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with 10Clouds in May 2022 and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched yet, so we can’t share any definitive metrics, but working with 10Clouds has been a pleasure. They’ve created a simple, good-looking product with a thoughtful, intuitive flow. We’ve received fantastic reviews so far.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
10Clouds has managed the project well and communicated clearly via Slack and Google Meet. They’ve assigned a strong, responsive team to our project. They’ve implemented feedback and accommodated our needs when we’ve changed the project's direction. We’ve used GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Miro to manage tasks and Figma to share designs.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’ve been most impressed by their design work and expertise with UI/UX. They’ve done a great job designing the platform, and we’re excited to launch the product. Overall, we’ve had a fantastic experience, and we’ve really enjoyed working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since we haven’t rolled out the platform yet, it’s hard to say what 10Clouds could improve on. We don’t have any constructive feedback thus far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I advise potential customers based in the US to consider the time difference and ensure you’re comfortable working with a remote team. Our partnership with 10Clouds has required a lot of communication and coordination, but it’s worked out well, so just be prepared for that.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work at a software company.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We needed help with UI/UX design for one of our web applications.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we started working together, our team didn’t have much UI/UX experience, so we leaned on 10Clouds to guide us through the design process for a web application. 10Clouds provided us with a team of designers and engineers to help build out our UI/UX.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 5–10 team members from 10Clouds, including designers, engineers, and a project delivery manager.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
We found 10Clouds on Clutch; they had many reviews and an extensive team, so we reached out. The sales team quickly connected us with their designers to help us with the project.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about $75,000 in the partnership with 10Clouds.
What is the status of this engagement?
We engaged 10Clouds between January–June 2021.
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
At the beginning of the project, we worked with 10Clouds daily to define the terms of the agreement, but they couldn’t tell us which team members would be working on our project. We wanted to be able to review the designers’ experience, portfolio, and style before agreeing to work with them.
Once we finally agreed on which designers to engage, 10Clouds failed to onboard the team members they promised. Even after we’d signed the contract, they switched out our lead designer at the last minute, which was very frustrating.
How did 10Clouds address the challenges that arose?
After consistently facing the same challenges throughout the project, 10Clouds made a lot of false promises. They scaled the team up and down to try and resolve the issues, but they never did, and the same problems continued.
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
The 10Clouds team did not deliver the work they promised within the hours they billed us for. They kept forcing us to work with their project delivery manager, who slowed down our process, resulting in delayed deliverables. Once we figured out which contractors we could rely on to complete the work, we had to step in and manage delivery ourselves.
How was project management handled?
10Clouds got the project up and running quickly because they had access to qualified resources. However, the management team was incompetent and inefficient. They’re a large company with many team members, but I think they took on more than they could handle.
Their project managers’ involvement was always a burden. They overwhelmed the contractors with multiple project demands, which resulted in a lack of focus and dedication to our project. It’s just sad because they were so overburdened from having to stretch their abilities across multiple projects that they couldn’t focus on ours. 10Clouds also continued to bill us for hours that didn’t reflect their work.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
The 10Clouds team is solid when it comes to sales. Before partnering with them, we were impressed by their pitch; they were very engaging and answered our questions. They assured us they would take care of our needs, but as soon as we signed the contract, things went downhill.
Although the 10Clouds management team was disorganized, some contractors were very talented. The individual team members executed good work and were some of the most technically skilled people we’ve ever engaged.
In what specific areas can they improve?
The 10Clouds team could significantly improve their project management process and lessen their contractors’ workload. That way, they can dedicate the appropriate amount of time and focus to each project.
The 10Clouds team could also improve by paying the contractors fairly. We found out they didn’t pay the contractors very well, and you get what you pay for. Most of our fees went to 10Clouds, and only a small percentage went to the team.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
If you need a large team as soon as possible, you may want to use 10Clouds because they’re well-connected. If you decide to engage 10Clouds, I’d advise interviewing the contractors and triple-checking that they engage the team members they said they would. Try to add a clause to your contract that prevents them from switching up the team at the last minute.
Also, try to engage the contractors full time to avoid the management team overburdening them. Speak with the contractors individually and be prepared to manage the project yourself. Don’t rely on 10Clouds to manage the project because you won’t be able to depend on them to meet your deadlines for deliverables.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the creative strategist of an e-commerce business operating in the art and design industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We wanted to create a very informative career platform for our people dedicated to engineering.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds did web design and development for us from scratch, which included a discovery workshop, the UI/UX design, development, and design animations.
To jumpstart the project, we provided some strategic input describing our goal, audience, marketing goals, and business goals regarding the entire campaign. We wanted the platform to be an axis of the whole employee-building process provided by our company.
We're now working on the final touches and deployment.
What is the team composition?
We've worked with around ten members of their team, including developers, a web designer, a UX designer, a product owner, a product designer, and testers. We had one point of contact on both the project and the business sides.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
I've worked in the software development industry for years and know of their work — they're one of the most renowned software houses in Warsaw for me. We chose them because we wanted to work with a top-notch partner, and I admired their work.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent around $50,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We wanted to create a very sharp-looking and informative yet compact platform, which they accomplished based on the feedback from the candidates we're assessing.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
We have regular weekly meetings to discuss the project status. They pay attention to proper communication, which is great because it makes them feel like partners rather than vendors. Regarding tools, we use Slack to communicate daily.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They pay attention to details and try to deliver the best results. They're also really flexible in terms of adjusting the budget to the quality and how to make the best things happen — I feel like they care about our project, which is great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had one or two situations where we had budget issues, and they didn't inform me ahead of time. We clarified things, though; other than that, I can't find anything else they need to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Treat them like a partner and trust them.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at an outsourcing company. We focus on mortgages and healthcare.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
I wanted to build a product I came up with and needed someone to help me develop the necessary targets for architecture, the costs, and the time to make it happen.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds did data reporting to us; they produced relevant documentation like the technicals of the final tech-stack, the costs of operating it, the timelines, and all the necessary technical and business requirements for the task. They composed all of that into one document so we could include it in future fundraising for this project.
Regarding the process, they organized several discovery sessions where we mapped out the entire customer journey to prioritize it and do an in-depth assessment of each relevant integration so we could engage with other stakeholders easily.
The project's goal was to create a report on anything existing in the future state of a potential product.
What is the team composition?
We worked with five members of their team, including a project manager, a DevOps, an architect, a UI/UX developer, and a business analyst.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
We found them through online research. I organized a call with the 10Clouds team, and we were impressed; they understood exactly what I was expecting and quickly built a proposal for me. On top of that, they had experience in the domain, so we chose them because they had the necessary knowledge and were in the same mindset as us.
How much money have you invested in this partnership?
We spent less than $20,000 with them on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from May–December 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their level of detail in the reports was great and well written — it aligned to all the expectations and data points I needed, so I was satisfied with their work. On top of that, they also delivered a nice wireframe for me, which will be very useful in the future.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management was great; we had weekly calls to update us on the project’s status and let us know what they’d deliver each week — they were pretty good.
Regarding tools, we use email, phone calls, and Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were a multidisciplinary team; they had good ideas and quickly understood the product and what I was trying to do.
Overall, their ability to assimilate information quickly and produce output was outstanding, combined with their easy-to-work-with approach.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could’ve been more thorough in their project management; they were great, but I think they could’ve been more detailed.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear about your expectations and what you want. You also need to ensure their output is aligned with those expectations. Also, it’s important to have open lines of communication to reiterate what you want — provide them with all the necessary information.

Backend Dev Staff Augmentation for Technology Company
“10Clouds was very responsive and communicative, especially on the account management side.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the engineering director at Pollen, a technology company in the travel and experience event space. We partner with important artists and create multi-day experiences curated in partnership with those artists. These events revolve around those artists so that fans can get exclusive experiences with their idols.
Our team comprises about 80–90 people, including product engineers, designers, UI/UX engineers, and QA specialists. Most of our people are based in the UK, but we also have a few other engineers in Poland and other parts of Europe.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We were scaling up last year and needed more resources. During this growth, we needed to hire a lot of python backend engineers, but we found it incredibly challenging to hire resources as fast as we needed. Thus, we looked at other ways to scale up our teams and ultimately partnered up with 10Clouds.
What was the scope of their involvement?
10Clouds provided us with Python engineers to augment our team. We wanted their resources to be part of our internal team instead of just getting development services, so we went into the staff augmentation model, which helped us integrate them into our team.
For our inventory team, 10Clouds provided us with 2–3 engineers to support our internal team on a merchandising project. This project was focused on theming the resorts and hotels for the events using a model, and their resources helped us with the backend development of that model. Then, their resources helped us build a stock-keeping unit service so that we could keep track of our inventory and see what we needed to buy.
10Clouds also helped us staff our fulfillment team with a backend engineer. They worked on our fulfillment service, the part of our product that accompanies the traveler when they travel with us. This service helps travelers customize their experience and buy add-ons, such as a VIP upgrade or a ticket to an exclusive party. That fulfillment service gathers all the data related to the traveler’s itinerary in one place.
Additionally, 10Clouds provided us with an engineer for our experience operations team. This person worked on the backend to build our access control system. This system ensures that people have access to the experience since they book with us. We provide them with a wristband they can scan using our software. This software then sends that information to our system’s backend to grant access to the client.
What is the team composition?
Tom (Senior Account Manager) was my main point of contact and the person whom I talked to whenever we needed more resources. Additionally, they provided us with Anna (Python Developer) for our fulfillment team, 2–3 backend engineers for our inventory team, and another engineer for our experience operations team.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
We looked at different options for agencies and did a lot of analysis before hiring a partner. One of our main criteria was finding a team with a lot of time overlapping our working hours because we wanted them to collaborate with us. We also looked at the companies’ rates to see if they were competitive in their prices. Additionally, we revisited the seniority levels of their resources to see what we could expect from them because we needed them to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
During this process, we had a good feeling about 10Clouds because 1–2 of our engineers had worked for them as consultant engineers in the past. This was a good signal for us because we value these engineers. Additionally, we seemed to be aligned with 10Clouds because we have other engineers working from Poland as well.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around £200,000 (approximately $239,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June 2021–May 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
For every project, we have a code review process in place where engineers review each other's codes in a very collaborative manner. Additionally, we ask internal engineers for feedback on their collaboration with external partners. Working with 10Clouds, our internal engineers found them to be good self-starters, very knowledgeable, and very capable. Their resources integrated very well into our team, and they were very open to feedback. Overall, it was a very good experience.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
10Clouds’ project management was very good. We didn’t need to check their performance because we weren’t assigning them tasks and deadlines; they were integrated into our processes. Thus, we had ongoing conversations with them. Additionally, we trusted 10Clouds to bring their ideas to the table, and they were very open about sharing what was in their minds.
We used Jira to manage the project; all of our work was tracked in there. We also used Slack as our main collaboration and communication tool. Furthermore, we used G Suite for email communication, calendar management, and online meeting hosting.
What did you find most impressive about them?
10Clouds was very responsive and communicative, especially on the account management side. I really appreciated their efforts in working in a fast-moving environment like ours. We were scaling fast and needed to deliver quickly. Still, 10Clouds was able to offer swift turnaround times for high-quality candidates.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Initially, we had to go through a calibration process, but those instances are normal when working with external agencies. In addition to that, it would have been great if 10Clouds had set the expectations upfront. One time, one of their engineers wanted to focus on a previous project, which felt strange because we had moved on from that project. Other times, it felt like our senior engineers were expected to mentor 10Clouds engineers, which was understandable to some degree but took away focus from their main projects.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear during the calibration process, set your expectations upfront, and be open to understanding that it requires a learning curve.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Highfive Finance, an education startup focused on financial education. We’re building a mobile application that will make it easy for young professionals to educate themselves on financial topics.
What challenge were you trying to address with 10Clouds?
We needed a company that could help us create a clickable prototype to use for our own product development roadmap.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started the engagement with a kickoff meeting, wherein we set expectations and requirements and discussed what we wanted the deliverables to look like. 10Clouds explained the different types of clickable prototypes, and we decided to opt for a mid-fidelity prototype based on our budget.
We also specified that we wanted to focus more on the design aspects and the look and feel of the product rather than on user testing or extensive wireframing, as we have already done some work on that ourselves. 10Cloud worked professionally with us on this and created a deliverable that was exactly what we wished for and even more.
10Clouds then worked on developing the prototype of a mobile application. They took the wireframe designs, which we sketched ourselves on Nero, and further elevated them. From there, their team completed the wireframe and transformed it into a visually-appealing clickable prototype using Figma.
What is the team composition?
We primarily worked with a success manager and two designers from 10Clouds.
How did you come to work with 10Clouds?
I met 10Clouds at a conference that I attended about a year ago. They had a presentation, which I thought looked very structured and professional. After doing some research and looking at their previous work and their designers on Dribble and other platforms, I approached them for an estimate and talked to them about our project. It became very clear that they would be the right company to work with, so we decided to go with them for this project.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $4,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked on this project from April 2022–May 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have any success metrics, but I can definitely say that all of the deliverables turned out exactly as we expected. They were also quick to implement requests and feedback from us. Overall, their work exceeded our expectations, and we're extremely happy with the results.
How did 10Clouds perform from a project management standpoint?
10Clouds performed well in terms of project management. All of the requirements and deadlines were met. In terms of their communication, we never felt alone because they always responded quickly and professionally to our concerns.
We primarily communicated through Slack and email, but we also had weekly meetings through Google Hangouts. We also used Mural to conduct our workshops and collaboratively worked in Nero.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was extremely happy with the people that worked with us. They were very friendly, communicative, flexible, and accommodating of all our requests. They always made us feel well taken care of, and it really felt like they were a part of our team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have any complaints.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to be as responsive as they are and to provide them with regular feedback.
The website design and animated video will launch soon, but they have already been received with positive feedback from stakeholders. 10Clouds is quick to respond to communication and provides creative solutions to problems.
