A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a fintech startup offering mortgage and finance services.
What challenge were you trying to address with árda.works?
We needed help developing our platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
árda.works helped us from the requirements gathering stage. They created the scope of work, made an estimate of the resources required, and took care of development.
We first worked with them on developing a marketplace, followed by the banking portion of the product.
What is the team composition?
We started with a three-person team from árda.works, we have five now, and we’re adding one more person.
How did you come to work with árda.works?
They were referred to us by a partner. We compared árda.works with agencies from around the world. árda.works wanted the project to be successful, they understood it, and they brought added value to it.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $40,000–$50,000 to date.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with árda.works in May 2020, and we have 4–5 months to go.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of árda.works’ work is quite good. We’re working with them in the second phase of the project, and we would’ve probably found another agency if we weren’t happy. We’re comfortable working with árda.works, and we know that they’ll deliver what we want.
How did árda.works perform from a project management standpoint?
I give them full marks here. We have standups on a daily basis, and they keep us abreast of how the project is going. We already had a usable demo three weeks into the project.
We use Slack for general conversations, along with GitHub. We were using Trello initially.
They deliver on time, if not early.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best thing about them is Alex (Managing Partner). He’s extremely detail-oriented, to the point where I wonder how he manages. He’s also honest and friendly, and he gives us valuable advice.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not at the moment. What they’ve done speaks for itself. I hope they keep it up and continue working with startups.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
If the client has a good understanding of their own product, it’ll be easier to communicate the idea and work with árda.works.
