Can you please provide a brief description of your company and the role that you play there?
We are an inbound marketing consulting company. We help customers with SEO [search engine optimization], creating websites, designing websites, and marketing automation. We help companies grow their sales. I am the founder of the company.
What was the business challenge your company was facing that incited the need for a content or inbound marketing platform?
We had problems growing our client's mailing lists in addition to my own company's mailing list. We needed to be able to understand who visited our websites as well as better manage our subscribers. Before MailChimp, I didn't have a great management system in place to differentiate between my customers and my client's customers.
How are you now implementing MailChimp?
When somebody subscribes to our website, we work to differentiate them based on where they are in the sales funnel. Right now, we can see if they are just learning to use our website, if they are a little more advanced, or if they are ready to buy. Using MailChimp, we can see exactly where in the sales funnel our customers are and target them with directed emails.
Was your company considering other platforms? Why this platform?
I tried a few other email marketing software and platforms. I tried AWeber, but MailChimp was easier to use, create templates, and integrate with other products, such as WordPress. Overall, it was much easier to use than AWeber's software.
What pricing plan does your company currently utilize?
For my company and for my clients, I probably spend about $300 a month utilizing MailChimp.

Can you share any success, metrics, or overall results of your implementation of this platform?
Yes. Right now, for one of my customers, MailChimp is the number two conversion funnel for sales just behind their AdWords strategy. Before MailChimp, email marketing was not a reliable sales channel for this client. Now, they put a lot of emphasis on it.

The automation tools on MailChimp stand out. We can see where the customer is in the buying process, and we can identify when to send them triggers. We can trigger different messages for different customers. The automation aspect of MailChimp is the best part.

Nothing comes up in my mind right now.
