Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are an insurance company for mobile and domestic devices in the household. We also cover bikes and e-bikes. I work in process management.


What challenge were you trying to address with Avivi?

Our subsidiary has already been using and testing Bitrix for 2 years. Due to the good experience we’ve had, a member of the executive board decided to establish an intranet system within the entire company. Due to special security requirements and a lot of restrictions, we were unfortunately not allowed to use some of the functions Bitrix provides. We were looking for developers here in Germany, but nobody could help us with our specific and complex requirements. Other companies told us what we wanted was not possible or their service was way too expensive without the guarantee it would work in the way we needed. We tried to develop a lot by ourselves, but we could not handle the rest due to the complexity and lack of time.


What was the scope of their involvement?

We handed parts of the project off to Avivi. Avivi adapted templates and functions while taking into account our IT security requirements. We adapted all of our old intranet content into Bitrix. They also changed some standard features as needed and improved usability.

How did you come to work with Avivi?

We tried to develop on our own but faced some complex issues that we could not handle. Some of the agencies here in Germany that claimed to be Bitrix partners couldn’t solve those problems, either. So, we continued searching for partners on the Internet with different keywords until we found Avivi. Avivi seemed to have experience and a good number of developers. They seemed professional to us.

How much have you invested with Avivi?

We try to keep a good financial balance. There are just 2 of us on the project, myself and one more developer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in September 2015 and we plan to launch in January 2017.


Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t launched yet, but we have positive feelings about the implementation and the usage by many of our staff members. We will use the intranet to spread relevant information to users and have transparency in our communications.

What did you find most impressive about Avivi?

We are working a lot with different young agencies. What we welcome is the flexibility, fast accessibility, and interest in our project. They are available even on weekends. That is what Avivi represents. They also deal with our requirements and suggest better solutions. Avivi’s team gives us status updates so we work quite transparently.

Are there any areas Avivi could improve?

Sometimes it seems that things become overcomplicated. Maybe the misunderstanding is due to the language barrier.
