**The Review** — Oct 14, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The company received highly positive feedback from end users, who praised the product’s functionality. Vincit delivered a high-quality product, and the team managed the engagement well. They communicated closely with the client and kept track of everything to ensure the project’s success.
"“Everything was quite an amazing experience; I couldn’t be more pleased with their work.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Ancient Faith Ministries, an orthodox Christian media center specializing in streaming, radio, podcasts, and books. We’re in Chesterton, Indiana, but we’re a worldwide ministry with listeners and readers around the globe.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We hired Vincit to develop a new app for our radio divisions.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged Vincit at the end of 2021 and had initial conversations. After the new year holiday, we began meeting in earnest, engaging them for the project’s discovery phase, where they learned about what we were looking for in the app.

Our group had an existing app that the team could’ve used as a starting template. However, it was out of date and not anywhere near what we wanted the new app to be; it didn’t function correctly and had limited features. As a result, Vincit started the development process from scratch.

They worked with our IT personnel to access our content. Their resources also collaborated with us to develop the app’s structure and functionality. From there, they integrated content into the wireframes. The product was for both iOS and Android platforms.

What is the team composition?

We first worked with Brian (Director of Business Development) to analyze what we wanted. Then, we were handed off to a team led by Elli (Account Manager). We started the design work with Leah (UI/UX Designer). Elli and Leah were our primary points of contact for the first several weeks.

Once the wireframes and designs were established, we were transferred to Ryan (Software Developer), who took the lead on our app needs. Kelvin (Software Developer) also worked with him.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from January–October 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product was launched and functioned according to our expectations. It received positive comments from end users who commented on social media about how good the app was. For context, we invited about 650 beta testers, and their input allowed us to find things that we hadn't caught and corrected. By the time we launched, we didn’t have to worry about any major bugs.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

Vincit’s project management was amazing. They were super-organized and made good use of available software to manage their tasks. During their sprints, they identified a list of tasks they wanted to accomplish within two weeks. By the end of the two weeks, we’d meet them, and they’d report on their progress and challenges. They always checked in with us to ensure they wanted what we were doing, keeping us in the driver’s seat in terms of how we wanted the app to function and look.

Moreover, they provided us with ideas and best practices regarding how we could improve things. I was also pleased with their structure and communication. I met with Elli once per month to review our budget, progress, and projection of how much more time was needed to complete their tasks. They gave us advanced notice if it seemed we’d go over budget, giving us time to make adjustments. Overall, everything was quite an amazing experience; I couldn’t be more pleased with their work.

We communicated a lot through Slack; they invited us to join their Slack workgroup, which was good because we were already Slack users. We met every other Thursday for an hour to go over their progress via screen sharing to show us how things looked. They gave us access to the app's beta version so we could kick the tires and see if the product was functioning. When we found anything that didn’t look quite right, they worked on it and looked for ways to fix it. Overall, they delivered virtually everything we’d asked.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to communicate effectively and clearly was impressive; they were great communicators. Even though there was only one technical person on our team and there were plenty of technical terms in the project, Vincit made everything understandable for the rest of us. Overall, their communication skills were a standout.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their services weren’t cheap; we never dreamed we’d invest this much money in an app. To be fair, we realized that our app was everything since we provided online services. Our app was so good that we decided it was our most important investment of the year — it’s been well worth the investment.

Their mobile app development authority and expertise were clear from the beginning. We were working with a company that knew what they were doing and felt like they understood our space well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were some instances when they could’ve been more proactive, but it didn’t negatively impact the project's scope.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of a mobile application for iOS and Android devices. We specifically focus on the sports industry’s cycling vertical.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We needed help with developing the prototype of our app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit helped us develop the prototype of our app from scratch. They were heavily involved in the entire development process, from conception to deployment. Initially, we had just an idea for this app, so we tasked them to build the entire first version of our app.

From there, Vincit collaborated with us throughout the entire project. Their scope included UI/UX design, infrastructure development, and mobile app development for both iOS and Android. Their team also helped us with product testing to fix any bugs we could find, and they assisted us in getting our product up and running. The technology stack included GitHub and Google Cloud.

Throughout the project, Vincit also helped us identify opportunities to optimize our app and how we used certain functions. They contributed to our strategy overall. After launch, Vincit assisted us with app maintenance for some time, during which they addressed any issues that came up.

Our app has a single login feature that uses a token system to keep the user logged in. the app also has an integration with a third-party service that allows our app to track users’ bicycle mileage and send out notifications. Its home screen allows users to aggregate their bicycle rides, mileage, and any maintenance information relevant to their bicycles. Moreover, it has an account management page where users can sign out and make adjustments to their account settings.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around 10 people from Vincit in total, including their US CEO, some of their project managers, and 4–6 developers, some of whom were senior developers.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

A friend of mine was working with them, so we already knew them. When we decided to move forward with our project, we reached out to them to get a bid. We ultimately liked their style and team, and we felt they were a good fit for our project.

Vincit demonstrated a great ability to outline plans and deliver them accordingly. Additionally, they showed a lot of interest in our specific project. They had people on their team with knowledge and interest in the bicycle space, which was very helpful.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $158,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in the summer of 2020, and we launched the app in January 2021. Still, we’ve kept in touch with Vincit for future projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Given that our company was in its early stages, the fact that Vincit delivered the project in a timely manner was a success. Thanks to them, we were able to deploy our app quickly, which was a huge win for us. To this day, Vincit is very quick at answering software-related questions and user issues, allowing us to continue gaining users on the platform and service our customers. They’ve been very helpful in helping us gain momentum and achieve success.

**The Review** — Nov 14, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: The Vincit team is working diligently to build the client’s web platform and mobile app. They're a professional, knowledgeable partner who prioritizes the client and delivers high-quality work. They communicate with the client via Slack, and meet with external stakeholders via Microsoft Teams.
"“They’re doing an outstanding job creating the platform from scratch, and we’re satisfied with their efforts.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of software development for an energy company; I’m part of the digital solutions function, and we’re responsible for our IT initiatives.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We work with roughly 600,000 customers, including companies and individual consumers. We wanted to build a common platform for our customers to access our services in one convenient place, so we engaged Vincit to act as our development partner.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the project by sharing our business case with Vincit and devising a plan to create the mobile application and backend service. Then, they helped design the UI/UX, and now, we’re developing the platform for web and mobile.

Vincit is working alongside our internal team of developers, architects, and QA leads to build our platform from scratch. We’re using a hybrid model to work through a continuous development process. Regarding technology, we’re using Python for the backend, React for the frontend, and Flutter for the mobile app. Additionally, we’re running the platform on AWS.

Once the platform is complete, customers can perform a series of functions directly within the app or web platform. They’ll be able to access their contract details, change their address if they move, and track their energy consumption. Furthermore, they’ll also receive inside information regarding electricity prices as they fluctuate so that they can plan their energy consumption accordingly.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with 20 team members from Vincit, but we only work with about eight developers for the platform development project.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

I joined the company after we engaged Vincit, so I’m not sure how we initially found them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with Vincit since May 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.

**The Review** — Nov 9, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit has doubled the client's platform ticket-solving performance and optimized their costs. Vincit leads a communicative and responsive process to keep everyone updated on the engagement and ensure a solid project management experience. The team also praises their honesty and transparency.
"''They have great attention to detail, do everything by the book, and everything they do is correct on the first try.''"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a product manager of a digital marketing ad agency.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We developed our reporting software in-house, but after three years, we decided to look for a partner to assume the lead development role of that platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit does software development for us. They started by doing a technical audit of our existing software to evaluate where it was currently standing. From that technical review, we decided to choose them as our development partner.

Currently, they provide full stack software development for our products, including code cleaning and rewriting, feature development, and overall updates and maintenance for the platform.

In terms of the new features, they’ve developed the ability to generate various data reporting charts with different views and improved the platform’s security.

What is the team composition?

We’re only working with one member of their team.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

We met them because we provided them with our services. After that, we decided to give them a try to audit our platform. They were professional with that project, so we decided to expand the scope of work with them for this task.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent around $80,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have great attention to detail, do everything by the book, and everything they do is correct on the first try — their team is professional and delivers the results we expect.

Regarding metrics, in 2021, we closed an average of 10 tickets per month, which increased to about 20 tickets per month in the last couple of months, thanks to Vincit’s work. Overall, they’ve doubled the output of our previous development team. Moreover, they’ve removed 120,000 lines of code that were either redundant or unnecessary.

In addition, Vincit has optimized our backend’s server; some reports had loading times of over eight minutes, but they brought it down to about 45 seconds, which has also allowed us to optimize our costs by $400 every month.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re quick, document things well, and ensure that we’re updated with everything regarding our platform. In addition, they meet deadlines and budgets, and their communication is top-notch — they keep us informed about everything regarding the project. In terms of tools and communication, we use Jira and Slack, and we have weekly meetings to review the engagement — their team is super responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is honest and transparent with their requirements and the project’s budget. Moreover, they’ve been able to implement a few features on our website that our previous developers said were impossible to accomplish in a day.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ensure that you ask every question you have. Thorough conversations are key to enabling them to understand what you need.

Software Specialists Manager, Hospital District
- Industry: Other industries

- Client size: 10,001+ Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Nov 4, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit has dedicated a team of skilled experts to build custom software according to the client’s specifications. Although they haven’t launched the system yet, the client has been pleased with the team’s ability to meet demanding deadlines. Vincit has used Scrum techniques and communicated well.
""The scrum masters have managed tasks well, and we’ve been impressed by their efficient process.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of the software specialist unit for a hospital district; we take care of the reporting and billing systems.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We engaged Vincit to provide us with software development services.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The Vincit team has helped us develop an entirely new software system from scratch. Our billing process is quite complex, so we started by sharing detailed documentation outlining our procedures. Then, we worked on defining the specifications and requirements using a combination of Kanban and Scrum development processes. Vincit worked alongside our product owners to map out features and how we could work towards developing them in an agile way.

Since ironing out the specifications, the team has started developing the system using various technologies, including Kubernetes for the UI, Azure, and other Microsoft tools. They’ve worked with our team on a monthly cycle to develop new features.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around 20 team members from Vincit, including scrum masters and product owners.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Due to the nature of our business, we have to publicly announce whenever we acquire software or partner with a service provider. We went through a very open RFP process, where several companies had the opportunity to present their services. We evaluated pricing, certifications, and the quality of their features before deciding to move forward with Vincit.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested just under €10 million (approximately $10 million USD) in the project with Vincit.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began defining the requirements with Vincit in the Spring of 2020, and they’ve been working on the development phase since early 2021; the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Vincit has provided us with highly-skilled experts who’ve successfully driven our project forward. Although we haven’t completed the project yet, I anticipate that the effects will positively impact our operations.

Before engaging Vincit to build custom software, we had to purchase ready-made products such as Oracle ERP. These external products came with monthly licensing fees, and we couldn’t customize them to meet our needs effectively, so we’re excited to start using a product designed according to our specifications.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

I have no complaints about Vincit’s project management style. Whenever we’ve had delays, they’ve resulted from our failure to allocate enough personnel to help them with specifications or testing. There have been instances where our management team has placed seemingly impossible deadlines on the project, and Vincit has prioritized work accordingly and managed to meet our time frames.

The scrum masters have managed tasks well, and we’ve been impressed by their efficient process. They’ve been very accommodating and cooperative, and their communication has been fluid throughout the engagement. Additionally, they’ve consistently identified creative workarounds and alternative solutions to complex technical issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by their Scrum techniques. Compared with other service providers, Vincit has been very flexible and demonstrated a solid ability to take on complex tasks.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since I’m not involved in the day-to-day project operations, I can’t speak on any areas for improvement. However, I know our management team has been satisfied with the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your objectives and provide Vincit with the necessary information. As long as you communicate clearly, they will deliver on your requests.

**The Review** — Oct 12, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit has delivered a functional website; their efforts have decreased the site’s bounce rate and increased traffic to 60,000 average monthly visitors. They’ve been a dedicated partner who has even supported the client with issues outside the scope. They’ve communicated via Slack, email, and phone.
"“Nothing’s perfect, but I’d give Vincit a nine out of ten from a project management perspective.”

 "

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of marketing for Pioneer Landscape Centers; we’re a landscape supplies retailer. Our team handles all aspects of marketing, including advertising, social media, PR, and customer communications. We also manage internal and external website interactions, reviews, phone calls, and in-store customer engagement.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We engaged Vincit for a two-step project. First, we tasked them with revamping our website to refresh the look, feel, functionality, and UX. Then, we engaged them further to introduce e-commerce capabilities to the site to enable our customers to purchase bulk landscape supplies online.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit has revamped our website using Microsoft Dynamics, our backend ERP. We wanted to provide our customer service team easy access to our database, so Vincit integrated our ERP with Zendesk. Additionally, we use proprietary POS, dispatch, and route planning software, which the team has also integrated with our website’s frontend. Our website also employs a CMS, which enables us to update content easily.

Furthermore, the team has used Vercel to build e-commerce capabilities directly into our website’s frontend. They’ve also built several API calls into the backend, which link to our ERP, Zendesk, and proprietary systems. We’ve engaged an external development team to host the website’s backend elements; Vincit has interfaced with them regularly.

Since launching the website, they’ve continued expanding our e-commerce functionality and helped us maintain the site.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with several team members from Vincit, primarily Sean (Head of Quality & Growth), Elli (Account Manager), and Jody (Full Stack Developer). However, we’ve also worked with Ricky (Full Stack Developer) and others.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Our company started working with the team to build our original site before I joined, so I’m unsure how we found them. When we wanted to revamp our site, we pitched our idea to various development houses and opted to stick with Vincit because they were familiar with our business and team. Since we’d already worked together, we knew their capabilities and were comfortable moving forward.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested roughly $150,000–$170,000 in the website revamp project with Vincit.

What is the status of this engagement?

I’ve been working with the Vincit team since 2017; they built and hosted our original website but had a different company name. We chose to work with them again in 2020 when we decided to revamp our website, but Vincit acquired our original web development partner. Since working with them again in 2020 as Vincit, they’ve completed the website revamp and continue working on expanding the site's e-commerce capabilities.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Vincit team has tied all of our proprietary software to our website, which has streamlined our distribution and logistics functions. This has made it much easier for us to manage the site internally.

Their efforts have presented our customers with a unified frontend experience, which has helped us drive revenue and improve our customer satisfaction. We’ve noticed an increase in our site traffic and a decrease in our bounce rate, which has been great. Since working with Vincit, we’ve seen 60,000 unique monthly visitors, and more users have clicked on our contact form.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

Nothing’s perfect, but I’d give Vincit a nine out of ten from a project management perspective. The team has jumped in to learn about our business and project, which we’ve appreciated. They’ve set realistic expectations and consistently delivered.

Since our project has many moving parts, there’s significant room for error, so we’ve encountered some bugs and other minor production hiccups. The project’s complexity has caused delays and budget increases. However, we don’t fault Vincit for those because they’ve identified solutions quickly and communicated progress. They’ve also worked effectively with our external development team, which has been helpful.

When Vincit acquired our original development partner, we went through a transition period, but not much changed on our end, which was nice. They introduced some new contact points, but we never felt we had to catch them up on our project or start over. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of resources, capabilities, and technology suddenly available to us.

We loved working with our team before Vincit acquired them, but Vincit has been even easier to work with, more responsive, and more proactive. They’ve assigned us several points of contact, so whenever a team member has taken a vacation, we’ve moved the project forward seamlessly with the other team members, which has been immensely helpful. We’ve used email, phone, and Slack to communicate.

Ellie has done a great job ensuring we get the necessary support from an hours and budget perspective. Jodi has been a fantastic resource; he’s consistently checked in to ensure the website functions according to our standards.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by Vincit’s dedication to our partnership. For example, we had an instance where our website domain went down unexpectedly, which had nothing to do with Vincit. Unfortunately, our internal IT team couldn’t resolve the issue, so it became a dire problem, and I reached out to Vincit.

I explained the problem to Vincit, and Jodi worked late into the evenings and on weekends to figure out an alternative solution to give us some sort of web presence in the meantime. I was blown away by his tremendous commitment to our company and willingness to step in and help with something outside the project scope. He took it upon himself to solve a problem that wasn’t his, which shows the customer-driven nature of the Vincit team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if they could clone themselves and charge less money! Vincit doesn’t overcharge; I’d just like to pay less.

**The Review** — Oct 10, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Vincit’s work, the client can more easily manage their website and make integrations, enabling them to promote and display their programs better. The team stayed on budget and overcame communication and timeline issues throughout the process. Their excellent design work stood out.
""Vincit's designs were much better than those of other providers.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the senior program director at Vital Link, a nonprofit organization based in Orange County, California. We provide career exploration programs for students and youth who are either returning to the workforce or are just entering the workforce.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We wanted them to design our new website with ease of use in mind; we wanted everything to be no more than two clicks away for the user. Additionally, we wanted the site to be more flexible to manage. Our web team only has 2–3 people, so we needed the templates to be easy to use and flexible with our needs across the different pages.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit designed and developed our new website from scratch. First, we reviewed our previous website and gave them all the content we wanted to keep and what the new content should say. From there, they designed the site and then built it.

The website houses everything we have, including our programs and mission. In it, users can find information about upcoming programs to either participate or become sponsors. Users can also register for our programs or contact a representative to get further information.

What is the team composition?

We worked with an account manager and a developer.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Our former president found them because he used to go on bike rides with Vincit’s CEO. They were part of a group of 3–4 providers that presented a quote to us via an RFP. We chose them because we liked how fresh and unique they were, and we wanted our new website’s features to attract new users.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2021–April 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Vincit’s work, we’re able to promote and display our programs better because we have access to our entire website. As a result, we can make a lot of integrations between our website and the different platforms we use for registration.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

The team stayed on budget. However, we had hiccups in terms of on-time delivery because, in the beginning, they didn’t tell us what they needed from us go and didn’t check in enough. Even though we had given them a timeline, they didn’t communicate and told us what they needed from our team a week before it was due. Therefore, we couldn’t provide the material in time.

Then, we set a second deadline, and they had things ready on time. They made sure their team was on top of things and that they had better communication with us, so their project management improved. We communicated virtually because their team was in different locations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vincit’s designs were much better than those of other providers that had sent us quotes and other companies we’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have improved their communication and strategy. It would have been great to have better package upfront that showed what the process looked like.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to communicate with them all the time to make sure that you both have the same mindset about the guidelines and deadlines.

**The Review** — Jan 12, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit was generally successful. The client had direct access to the client's designers, which was extremely useful for them. Despite not having prior experience for their service, the vendor also stepped in to reduce their courtesy rate for the hours they went over budget.
""They performed at a high level in terms of design and creating new tech which they hadn't had experience with before.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder / co-owner of the company. The company utilizes new technologies to sell cars in a way that has not been done before in an online capacity.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vincit, and what were your goals?

We hired Vincit to develop the technology needed for our online web platform from the ground up. Vincit was integral to our business being able to function, as the technology they developed is core to our business.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We did online research on the software developers in our area, and found Vincit's online presence and resume to be the most convincing. After contacting them and one or two other vendors, we maintained our opinion that Vincit was the most compelling option in terms of quality of initial communication, ability to perform, and proposals given.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

A discovery document was created which outlined the scope of the project and overall potential costs. From there, we moved to a design phase in which the look and feel of the website and technology was outlined. After that, the technology was built. Vincit allowed us to have considerable input along the way to ensure all items were built to our liking, and the ability to have access to the designers and developers on a daily basis for questions and comments was excellent.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

5 people. VP of Business Development, UX Designer, Visual Designer, and two Developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was generally successful and Vincit delivered what was promised in terms of the technology's core functionalities.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We had direct access to the designers and developers on our project, which was extremely useful and allowed for great communication and quick feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They performed at a high level in terms of design and creating new tech which they hadn't had experience with before.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our project's agreed budget proved to be optimistic, but we were aware that Vincit did not have previous experience with our proposed technology, so this was understandable. Vincit did step in with a reduced courtesy rate for the hours we went over budget.

"“They’re professional and develop the best products for their clients based on project needs.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Amway is a multi-level marketing company that makes various products. I'm a senior research scientist for the innovation and science team, focusing on the R&D behind our nutritional products.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We contacted Vincit to build a botanical knowledge base that contains information on ingredients, raw materials, and so forth.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together to develop a botanical knowledge base that’s accustomed to our scientist. This tool is not only useful for our R&D but also for our partners in procurement, marketing, and regulations.

The project kicked off with a set of interviews to go over the system’s requirements. Vincit sought to understand the scope of work before developing a prototype of the tool. That design eventually went into the actual solution.

What is the team composition?

I interacted with six people, including a business analyst and the lead developer. On the development team, there were people dedicated to handling the design, others working on the software, and others still responsible for the database.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Initially, I met them at an IT workshop before one of their representatives contacted me.

How much have you invested with them?

The design, prototype, and development cost over $250,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2019. After completing the project, they shifted their services into more of a support role and are currently maintaining our tool.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My colleagues and I are satisfied with everything that Vincit has provided. Not only is the quality of their services high, but they also adjust their work based on our feedback. That constant contact and availability have been really convenient for us.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

We correspond by email, Microsoft Teams conference calls, and phone. Trello helps us stay on schedule, and we can see the list of items they’re working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve developed a really great working relationship despite not being able to meet in person due to COVID-19. There aren’t any delays, and the project turned out well. That just goes to show how on point they are.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We didn’t encounter any challenges with them. There was a point in the beginning when they provided us with an estimate for their work, which was based on an agile methodology. Our legal team preferred it to be an itemized contract, so they adjusted accordingly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You should go for it. They’re professional and develop the best products for their clients based on project needs. I only have positive things to say about Vincit.

**The Review** — Aug 14, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The company was very happy with the logo as it kicked off all the marketing initiatives that the company was planning. The company's management appreciated that the project experienced no delays throughout.
""Vincit's workplace environment and the work they put out is impressive."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Zupo is a search engine optimization agency and I am the founder

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vincit?

Vincit was hired to help Zupo develop its logo as it launched into its first year of business.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the project was to develop a contemporary, unique looking logo that Zupo could use as the starting point for all of its marketing and branding efforts. Before this point, Zupo was a new business with a couple of clients, but no resources to go out and market it's business.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Vincit?

Vincit was an obvious choice. After seeing the work they did for one of the other clients that also left a review on Clutch, I was so impressed that I knew Vincit had a strong understanding of contemporary design. It also was a plus that they had a great work environment and branding themselves.

Describe the project in detail.

The logo development project was a ground floor project. Zupo did not have any prior marketing, branding work or colors chosen. This logo project would be the base for all future marketing work and therefore we were starting out at the ground floor.

What was the team composition?

I was paired with the design team and assigned a team member who was the lead who helped lead the design process. On Zupo side, I was the main point of contact.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The logo was great! It kicked off all other marketing initiatives with the design of the website and all our other marketing. Before walking into Vincit we had a general idea of the characteristics and feel that we wanted, but we felt that Vincit really rounded it out and set the tone so that moving forward we were confident and reassured with the brand and logo of the company.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Great! There were no delays and I talked to the Vincit team members almost as if they were my own team members. They have a great way of making their staff members not feel like a foreign entity, but just another one of your coworkers.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Vincit's workplace environment and the work they put out is impressive. They have such a laid back and fun atmosphere, yet they bring such a cutting edge technology skill set that it's always so impressive the work that they put out.

Vincit is about being on the latest technology and design and delivering that to the customer, it's something that makes me comfortable knowing that they were guiding the design.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nope - they are amazing!

**The Review** — Apr 16, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit California’s efforts have led to significant uptime and a growing membership base. Throughout the partnership, they’ve been willing to adapt their methods and tools in order to fulfill the project goals and business’ needs. A responsive team, they’re always available to resolve any issues.
""The team does a great job of conducting automated testing and making sure that we’re using the best coding practices."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of engineering and technology at a car washing company. I work with our data analytics, engineering, software development, and controls teams.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit California?

We have a relatively young software development team, with just two developers state-side in our corporate office. They’re very talented, but we knew that we needed additional firepower and technical expertise.

We were looking for a high-caliber external development firm that could teach us some best practices and help us accomplish goals while bringing an innovative perspective and technical excellence to our software development process.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit California has been doing work on our software platforms, though our relationship wasn’t always direct. We have a common partner in Europe that we work with and, in just the last year, we signed a new master service agreement to work directly with the team while still collaborating with our mutual partner in Europe.

They’ve taken the lead on helping us develop technology to run our franchise car wash business. The team has worked on a car wash management app that looks at inventory and consumption rates and does tasks management. Vincit California also covers maintenance projects and general upkeep that needs to be done around the car wash.

Additionally, the team helped us develop a customer-facing app that allows customers to manage their own membership. We’ve also worked on a unique iPad-based POS that we use in the car wash. They work with JavaScript, React, and AWS. The team also played a role in the design work throughout all of our platforms.

How did you come to work with Vincit California?

We didn’t actually hire them when we first started working with them. We were linked up with Vincit California through another contracted party.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Vincit California in 2015 and our partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Over the last 12 months, our platform has had more than 99.5% uptime. So, it’s a very stable app. Since we began working with Vincit California in 2015, we’ve got our first members and now we have over 80,000 members who are using our platform to manage their accounts and wash their cars.

How did Vincit California perform from a project management standpoint?

They work and collaborate in the way that we find is most beneficial. Last year, we asked them to adopt a lot of the agile principles that we use and to use a project management tool of our choosing, and they did.

We use Jira, Slack, and video conference calls to communicate. Some of their team members hop online late at night if we’re having a problem, having discussions with our developers even when they’re off the clock. They’re always available to help us resolve any issues we encounter.

Our relationship with them doesn’t have project orders with deliverables and deadlines. We work more as a collaborative development team. We have a scrum master on our team and they have one on theirs. Vincit California is quite integrated with us in that we really perform as an agile team.

We don’t hand them deadlines and deliverables two months in the future. They have an active role and we give them insight into how our company grooms the backlog and prioritizes certain items. They function much more as internal developers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re incredibly responsive. In the last year and a half, we’ve been very impressed with their flexibility. The team does a great job of conducting automated testing and making sure that we’re using the best coding practices and using the right technologies.

**The Review** — Feb 24, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: As a result of the project, website speed decreased by over 40%, but conversion rate did not improve. The designs delivered by Vincit California were incredibly high quality and satisfied project requirements, but there is some room for improvement on usability for the end customer.
"“They never overpromise or underdeliver.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our company produces consumer electronic accessories, and I am the director of e-commerce.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit California?

We were trying to build a faster website that would convert better by projecting a better brand image to customers coming to our site.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team focused on UX/UI design, page layout, and coding for the site. That included pretty much everything, from the home page, mobile pages, user flows through our menu system, all of which they were able to build from scratch.

Their designers created wireframes from the requirements and content that we gave them, and then we just cleared everything before they implemented it. We still use Shopify for our online store, but our CMS is now based on a system called Contentful.

What is the team composition?

We had an account manager from their team as well as a design lead that we worked with during the design phase, and then there was a team of developers working with them behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Vincit California?

When we first interacted with them, we liked that the bulk of their team was close to our office in the US and we were able to meet with them face-to-face. It was clear that they had the skill to handle our project, so we decided to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost was raised above the initial bid due to increases in scope on our end, and more complex features requested. All cost increases were clearly communicated and approved before being implemented.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from late August–December 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our conversion rate has decreased a little since we launched, but that mostly has to do with the fact that we have a completely new site, and we expect that to improve from where it is now. The infrastructure of the site itself is performing about 40% faster than the older version, which is great.

How did Vincit California perform from a project management standpoint?

I thought they did a very good job handling the project. We had almost daily communication between the two teams, as well as weekly in-depth meetings on specific goals and setting targets for each week. They made use of project management softwares called Storybook and Clubhouse to stay on top of all of those milestones throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They never overpromise or underdeliver. Anything that their team commits to, they know that they are going to be able to do and having that level of confidence in their team is a really great asset to any project. The final product that they delivered to us was not only really high quality but had also been completely run through QA to ensure we weren’t receiving any bugs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Like I said earlier, our conversion rate has not improved, which I think is in part because they got so into development that they stopped thinking about the user. I think they are better at enterprise websites than high-traffic sites like ours, which is something they could probably continue to improve. We are still working with them on running A/B testing to try to improve that last piece.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Expect them to go a little low on the bid and make it up later with a little request for scope increase, but I would still recommend them if you want very high-quality work.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Justin (UX/UI Designer, Vincit California) already knew what I was looking for. They were very open and transparent. I got to work directly with Justin; there weren’t any layers I had to work through. Everything got done on time, and they did a great job.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very professional yet extremely personable, which was a nice combination. Justin asked the right questions and was a good listener.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Justin asked me this same question, and I don’t have anything that he could have gone better. It all worked out really well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be completely transparent and keep the lines of communication going. They are a very forward-thinking organization and have a great culture. Take advantage of that. Be straightforward in communication.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Product & Engineering Manager to the company. We aim to reconnect older adults disconnected from their families and friends by providing a senior-friendly tablet solution. The solution was built & designed specifically for seniors, where the purchasing, unboxing, hardware, and software is all simple, safe, and secure. We also provide companion apps and administrative sites for families of our members to use to engage with their loved ones.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Vincit California?

Challenge: Our iOS companion app architecture had become very difficult to debug, scale, or even work on. We wanted a rewrite, but with our team juggling so many other priorities, it was hard to find the time.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to solve the challenges we were facing: - To not only reduce the amount of bugs & crashes, but to allow for bugs & crashes to be reasonable to debug and fix in the future - To have an architecture that's delightful to scale and add features to

How did you select this vendor?

One of our employees introduced me to Dalip, who sold us pretty easily since we had a good recommendation.

Documentation: we gave the team our code base to look over before the project was started iOS Native Additionally, the Vincit team provided us with support in implementation all the individual use cases of the architecture. We build through the use cases, but if we ever came across problems, they were there for support.

What was the team composition?

Dalip: Project Manager & Business Dev Riku: Lead Developer Matti: Developer We did lose Matti in some of the later weeks during the support phase, but that worked out just fine.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

This immediately provides a much better user experience for our users. Building new functionality on the new architecture is delightful, and we see a clear path for scaling.

We used a shared slack channel and GitHub, which worked out very well. The Vincit team was super responsive and willing to tackle or at least advise with any problem we brought up.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Working with Vincit was like working with members of our own team, both in the day-to-day work, and the bigger picture planning. They were much more focused on satisfying our goals than they were on things like contract specifics, billing, etc.

Nope, everything was great.

""This team makes app development fun."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a marketing manager at Q-Cells. We’re a solar panel manufacturer.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit California?

In lieu of a recently launched customer loyalty program, we wanted to the team to develop a mobile app with an accessible scanning feature. Members can accrue points for the solar panels they purchase if they register the panel by scanning it.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The team provided design and development for the app and scanning feature, and they created it for both Android and iOS platforms. The app has launched, but they’re continuing to provide maintenance and support. We also expect to add more functionalities to the platform.

What is the team composition?

We began working with three specialists and then scaled up to about 6–7 team members. A project manager manages the schedule and passes tasks down to points of contact accordingly.

How did you come to work with Vincit California?

Vincit California works out of the same building as us, and I happened to pick up a branded item at a building event they were sponsoring. Since I had been looking for app developers, I visited their office and decided to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $40,000.

About 50 users out of a pool of 200 customers have started to scan their products, which is a big accomplishment. Before, no customers were registering their products due to an inefficient process. Now, users praise the functionality of our scanning feature. One customer said it was the best scanner they’ve ever used.

How did Vincit California perform from a project management standpoint?

They introduced us to software communication tools that have been been very helpful (e.g. Trello and Slack). They are prompt communicators, and they always update us on the development process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This team makes app development fun. It’s clear the company values its employees—they are always so happy. I would visit their office just because it has such a great atmosphere. This positive culture has supported employees’ quality performance.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m happy with their work. We’re looking forward to continuing work with them in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Even though their price may be higher than average, the value of their performance exceeds the cost.

Vincit California leads a seamless workflow thanks to their proactiveness, organization, and communication. Their collaborative approach and expertise yield high-quality products.
""Every team member listened to us and offered ways to improve on our ideas; as a result, we have a far better product."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of DISH. We’re launching a restaurant app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit California?

We engaged Vincit California to develop our app and business.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The app allows users to create an aggregated list of their favorite restaurants. Users can follow restaurants, mark ones they want to try, write notes and comments, and access them on a map.

We first had brainstorming sessions to develop the concept, key markets, and goals of the app. I had a few ideas about what the app would do and look like; Vincit California helped me flesh it out into a full concept through whiteboarding and in-depth conversations.

Vincit California used those conversations to create wireframes. Their team fully conceptualized the UI/UX to maximize usability within a clean, appealing design. Finally, the team built the app for iOS devices using React Native. The platform allows us to easily create an Android version before we launch the app to the marketplace.

What is the team composition?

We work with their head of business, a design lead, a backend developer, and a frontend developer.

How did you come to work with Vincit California?

My brother—a web developer—had come across their team’s work, and he recommended them to me.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2018, and the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve released the app to a few users in core demographics to collect feedback. Those users have taken to the app well and praised its functionality and intuitive UI/UX. We’re refining some features and fixing some bugs before we launch to the greater marketplace. Vincit California is providing maintenance in the meantime.

How did Vincit California perform from a project management standpoint?

The project has taken longer than we expected, but Vincit California produced a high-quality app that exceeded our expectations. The team has been highly collaborative since the beginning. We communicate and keep track of progress using Trello.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vincit California provided four people for our brainstorming sessions. Every team member listened to us and offered ways to improve on our ideas; as a result, we have a far better product. I appreciate that they invested resources into the conceptualization stage and that everyone gave their opinion and discussed alternate directions we could take.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve had an excellent experience so far. At one point, the project experienced some developer turnover, but Vincit California transitioned a replacement resource successfully.

Any advice for potential customers?

Go into your engagement with an open mind. Listen to their ideas and incorporate them into your project.

**The Review** — Mar 27, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit delivered a high-quality, user-friendly app refresh that has significantly improved the platform while attracting more users. Highly collaborative, professional, and approachable, working with their team is seamless.
""They've done a good job of meeting our needs within our budget, so we're very happy overall."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the director of digital operations at KCRW, a nonprofit NPR radio station in California.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit California Inc.?

We needed some custom development within our mobile app. The frontend designs were already done in-house, but we needed Vincit to build it out.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit restructured our app using React Native to allow users to access and stream our news and music channels, incorporating Spotify and Apple Music software. When we play certain songs on the radio, users can get a preview of the music through the app and skip around different tracks. They also integrated other APIs, including Salesforce.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager who oversees their technical development team, managing those resources out of offices in Finland and California. We probably had about six people in total on the project, working in sprints.

How did you come to work with Vincit California Inc.?

They submitted a proposal during our RFP process after finding the opportunity posted on social media. After we narrowed our choices down to 10 firms, we ultimately chose to work with Vincit based on their amicability, professionalism, and a strong portfolio.

How much have you invested with them?

We probably spent around $150,000, plus our regular retainer costs.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2018 and launched the app by August of the same year, but we still have a retainer agreement with them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new iteration of the app Vincit built has significantly upgraded our platform overall and attracted more users. They helped streamline our code, so certain features are now all in one place and more convenient for users. By using React Native, we're now able to more easily update both versions of the app as needed. We're also very happy with the overall new look and feel of it.

How did Vincit California Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very clear about their processes, but also flexible as needed if the scope changes. They've done a good job of meeting our needs within our budget, so we're very happy overall. We communicated through Slack for the most part and had meetings over the phone every other week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're a good balance of professional and serious, yet approachable and fun.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It's not in our scope of work, but it'd be nice if they continued to check in with us and propose new features after the app launched.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a strong and detailed scope of work, because anything is possible. As our scope of work changed, we had to increase our budget, but their team is good about trying to stay within the original budget as much as possible.

We engaged Vincit to help us build a mobile app to make our platform more accessible to students.

**SOLUTION**

We spent $50,000–$70,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

Vincit successfully delivered to our specifications. Users and employees like the UX overall—it's user-friendly and straightforward.

They were detail-oriented and on top of tasks throughout the project. We mostly communicated through in-person meetings, email, or over the phone.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It's a more detailed process than we expected, so I definitely recommend trying to have your app as thought-out as possible in the early phases, providing their team with details, sketches, wireframes, etc.

**The Review** — Aug 13, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Although the brand book and additional features are still in progress, the engagement has been wholly positive thus far. Consistent follow up, deliberate project management, and a proactive approach to communication have fostered a productive and open collaboration thus far.
"“They’ve done a great job interpreting our ideas and translating them into actionable project goals.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the vice president of operations at an escrow company in California.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

The engagement with their team started when several colleagues and I branched off of an existing firm and needed to rebrand. This included a new website, logos, stationery, etc. We continue to work with them on new projects that strengthen our brand.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our first goal was to establish a web presence. The Vincit team started by designing and developing a simple landing page, and we’re now working together to implement a variety of interactive features that we’ve come up with over the last three-plus years. Initially, we provided messaging and some specific ideas on functionality. They followed up with in-depth competition analysis, and the new features are still currently in development. They’re also creating a brand book for our own internal use.

What is the team composition?

Originally, we primarily worked with Dalip (Head of Business, Vincit). Our companies have grown together, which came with its advantages and its challenges. Since the beginning, Dalip has shifted to focus on enhanced branding for us, including ways to make our site more robust and our social media more engaging. We also started to work more closely with Brian (Account Manager, Vincit), who has recently taken a lead on our project. The whole team has been exceptional for us.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

A partner who no longer works with us initiated the connection, which predates my time with the firm.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $20,000 on the first version of the site, and the phase we’re working on now is ongoing.

What is the status of this engagement?

The Vincit team started working with us in the first quarter of 2015, and we’re still currently working on features for the site.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The brand book is set to be completed next week. This will be the first deliverable for this phase of the project, but we’ve been very happy with the engagement thus far.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

Their emphasis on following up has been outstanding throughout the engagement. They provide weekly updates, which we didn’t explicitly ask for, but they’re very proactive in their approach to communicating with us. We always know what’s been accomplished in past weeks and what the goals are for next week. Communication is primarily via phone and email, but their office is relatively close by, so we also meet in person fairly often as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very excited about their approach to learning about our business. The real estate industry can sometimes come across as dry and mundane, but the Vincit team was able to add a fresh and modern element to our brand. After studying our competition, they were able to identify and recommend several areas for us to stand out in the field.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Any issues were on our end. This was our first time working through a project like this, and we likely could’ve been more clear around some of our requirements. They’ve done a great job interpreting our ideas and translating them into actionable project goals.

Any advice for potential customers?

Remember that they’re a creative company. Let them do what they do best, and be open to seeing things differently.

**Feedback Summary**: The app will launch soon, however, preliminary feedback is positive, highlighting its visually-appealing design and functionality. Vincit’s team answered questions promptly and implemented any ideas that popped up. Having a clear idea from the start will boost overall efficiency.
""The work they put forward is something I haven’t seen from other companies."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of MOVI Valet. We’re in the process of developing an app for a ticketless valet system that allows you to pay, tip, and request a car.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

Since I don’t have a technology background, I needed someone to bring my idea to life.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit developed my app for iOS and Android, and handled marketing and branding, doing everything from scratch. In the beginning, I only had an idea of the app, so they helped me come up with wireframes to bring it to life and assisted with choosing a logo and brand colors. They also integrated any new ideas I came up with.

Two platforms were built. One was client facing and the other for business processes, which included several reporting features and tools to track what’s being collected.

What is the team composition?

I initially worked with Dalip (Head of Business, Vincit), and then interfaced with their art director for a little while. After that, a senior full-stack developer took over to put the app together. Now, I work with their marketing coordinator for promoting the app.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

We went through a bidding process with several companies. I needed a vendor that was organized enough to communicate what they’re doing and the process behind it, which was something Vincit was able to do, unlike other companies. A colleague of mine knew Dalip and recommended his company.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2017 until August 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app is fully developed and set to go live next week. I’ve had people take a look at it to give me their opinion on the wording and the aesthetic, and there have been very minor changes. Everyone says that Vincit did an amazing job with the app’s build and design. I’m pleased with the product and have sent people their way.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. They were always available to answer any questions I had and offered several means of communication, though we mainly used email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

From a marketing standpoint, they’re amazing. The work they put forward is something I haven’t seen from other companies.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go in with a clear and concise idea of what you want. I went in with a blank canvas, which wasn’t the worst thing but wasn’t the best either. If I had gone in with a clear concept, the process would’ve been faster and I probably wouldn’t have needed as much guidance. This made it a bit harder for me to find out what I wanted.

**The Review** — Apr 18, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit brainstormed an engaging mascot and hashtag that appeal directly to target users. The new online shop has a visually appealing UX and design. Clear navigation makes the customer journey enjoyable and hassle-free. They delivered optimal results and attentive customer service.
""Vincit’s founder was a pillar of reliability from the very beginning of our partnership."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of SumoDen, a licensed merchandise dealer. We used to be a wholesaler, but recently moved our sales to the direct-to-consumer channel.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We needed a developer to build a B2C website from scratch for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Vincit developed a custom site on Shopify from scratch. They designed the layout to best showcase and organize our numerous product skews. Sparkhouse, their in-house media company, shot all the site images including product photos. The team spearheaded our branding strategy meetings. They presented an array of options for color schemes, layouts, and placements and sizes of different buttons. After we selected our favorites, they built wireframes. We started off with basic assets since we planned to modify the design for A/B and conversion testing.

Their best contribution was the #MySumoDen hashtag idea. Customers put hashtag products they purchase to put them into their “den.” It took longer than anticipated to iterate our mascot concept, but we appreciated their attention to detail. I remember seeing a dozen sketches they drew to extend the idea in different directions. Several in-depth meetings later, we agreed upon the ideal version. Since this image will be featured on all our products, we don’t want to have to change it any time soon.

What is the team composition?

We worked with five total resources including the founder himself. Our project manager was involved in about 65% of the project. After the wireframes were complete, we scaled down to two developers.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

One of my partners had previous business experience with Dalip (Head of Business, Vincit) and referred us to Vincit. Having an in-house photo and video production studio made hiring them an easy decision. We liked what we heard and were found their portfolio impressive.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June to October 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Vincit came up with the innovative #MySumoDen hashtag concept that’s centric to our entire rebranding strategy. Everyone we’ve shown the final version of our mascot idea to has indicated the team hit the nail on the head in terms of making it appealing and relatable.

They built a custom platform that’s thoughtfully tailored to all our needs. I like both the original site’s design and the temporary layout they’re using to solicit user feedback. Streamlined navigation makes our many product offerings easy to browse. Sleek, attractive presentation encourages customers to actually purchase items that catch their eye.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

The team works efficiently and communication has been consistently reliable. Our project manager helped ensure sure everyone was on the same page. Their in-house photography and video production agency enables them to serve all our needs under one roof. It was much easier to communicate with that internal team than a third-party subcontractor.

Meeting in person helped clearly convey our needs. They promptly compiled and sent us summary notes following each discussion. These reports included set deadlines for implementing new features. We extended the original timeline for positive reasons. As we approached the final iteration, 1–2 critically needed UX modifications emerged. The team flexibly accommodated our requests for these major changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their absolute greatest strength is excellent customer service. I appreciated how hands-on the Dalip personally was. The founder was a pillar of reliability from the beginning. I really appreciate how thoughtfully they ensured everything was done to our liking. I can’t think of any comparable vendor who would work that hard so close to the end of an engagement.

Vincit had the patience and integrity to give us honest assessments and work diligently to maximize our brand. They never took a formulaic or contractual approach. As we approached the final stages, they virtually went back to the drawing board to make major changes in the service of delivering the ideal end product.

**The Review** — Dec 1, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Through unparalleled project management and communication, Vincit developed an app loved by the client. They now work directly with the client to provide the best service possible. Despite some minor pricing challenges, their systematic approach spurred a reassessment of company processes.
"“I was impressed with their technical approach. ... they consider how to best provide a solution and work towards that.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the account director of a digital advertising agency. We do brand strategy, creative, and technology work for Fortune 500 companies.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We needed to develop an app for a national council but lacked the necessary expertise in-house. We outsourced the project to ensure quality development.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built the app our client needed using React Native and PhoneGap. They would eventually service and support the client directly.

What is the team dynamic?

We interacted primarily with the project manager and senior developer.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

I’ve known about them for a long time. It was critical we got the project done so we considered at least 4–5 other vendors. Vincit’s previous work really stood out among competitors as they had experience building their own algorithms and working on A.I. projects. Having been impressed, we brought them on for the project.

How much have you invested with them?

I think we spent $30,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place in 2014 and lasted 6 months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app turned out great and the client loves it. They knew we were outsourcing the project and were so happy with the results, they now work directly with Vincit for app support. We were happy to give Vincit that business because ultimately, it’s about best serving the client.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

There are always challenges, but overall everything went smooth. They shared Basecamp with us so we always knew how development was going. We also created a Trello board for backlog management.

During meetings, it was great to get a general production update from the project manager, but the senior developer’s insight was extremely valuable. This developer would also talk to the client and could break down technologies using analogies and examples. Not many developers take a client-facing role so that was a huge advantage.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Having worked with a number of agencies and vendors, I greatly appreciated Vincit’s transparency throughout the engagement. Additionally, I was impressed with their technical approach to the project. Instead of blindly taking orders, they consider how to best provide a solution and work towards that. This leadership pushed us to reassess our business and the processes we have in place.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their pricing seemed inconsistent at times so negotiations took longer. This was due to a misunderstanding of what they were trying to outline within their documents.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When searching for an app development vendor, it’s important to vet them not only from a price perspective but from a process perspective as well. Understand how a firm approaches solutions and decide if that benefits your client. What’s great about Vincit is they will lay out their process in detail, thus eliminating ambiguity.

"“Our users definitely saw a change for the better.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a hot sauce manufacturing company, with apparel and other miscellaneous accessories on the side. I run the e-commerce portion of the company and handle the website and all the orders that come in online.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

We had an outdated non-Shopify website that was run by a shopping cart. We needed someone to develop a Shopify website for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built our new website with Shopify. We wanted inventory control and more control on our end. Before, we would have to contact someone else to do minor changes. We had a vision of what we wanted the website to look like and they had a vision as well.

What is the team dynamic?

Almost their whole team was on board with us, listening to what we wanted to do with our website, brand, and idea. We all shared our concerns and ideas and came up with a long-term plan, which really was amazing to see. They worked well with us, and synergistically with each other. Everybody knew what his or her role was, which put us at ease from the get-go.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Our social media team put us in touch with them.

How much have you invested with them?

It cost $1,000 for the facelift of the website, $350 for photo editing, and $160 for a template purchase on Shopify. Since then, we've gone to purchase a different package plan.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2016 and, initially, the work lasted 2–4 months. We're now working with them again.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our users definitely saw a change for the better; they liked it and our sales increased. Our website is now much more engaging and you can that customers enjoy spending time on it.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

Amazing. They were in contact every week. Brian (Account Manager, Vincit) is persistent and that's what we needed with the way we work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They're an amazing team, company, and people.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what your company needs and wants before you meet with them to make things a lot easier on yourself and them. If you or your company don’t have an end goal, you may not get what you need. If you have a clear picture in mind, you won't be disappointed.

My intake has more than quadrupled in the last year, especially in terms of my retention rate. I attribute a lot of that growth to their recommendations. We did a lot of the work after marketing, but we wouldn’t be where we are without their help. I’ve had nothing but compliments and amazing results.
How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?
They were 100% on point, and I have zero complaints. They responded quickly to emails and phone calls, at all times of the day, and even on weekends.  They met all my concerns head-on.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They did an amazing job putting everything together and were meticulous through the entire process. They never made us feel like a small client, and always treated us like a priority.
Their approach is personal, like working with a friend. Even now, if I reach out to them for anything, they’re naturally personable.

Founder, QBIQ
- Industry: Other industries

- Client size: 1-10 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Nov 1, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Early versions of the app are bug free, with very few issues. Device Interactive expressed excitement about the brand, and communication never lapsed. They never cut corners, and returned a successful product.
"“They weren’t just checking the boxes. They saw our potential, and their interest in us added value.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I run a startup called QBIQ, which produces educational material and products for football quarterbacks.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?
Our app allows coaches to test their quarterbacks’ responses to different scenarios. The coach creates a playbook, and the player predicts the outcome from the offensive and defensive information he’s given. We started the wireframe but needed a team to refine it. We wanted to be sure our ambitions were realistic and would give us the best return on our investment.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed the iOS app. We discussed concepts and created a workflow and user walkthrough. It was a consultative process, and we made adaptations collectively. They helped keep us within the scope and our budget parameters.
What is the team dynamic?
Our project manager was Brian (Account Manager, Vincit), their art director was our designer, and we had an engineer. We worked with all three at various stages.
How did you come to work with Vincit?
I worked with Dalip (Head of Business, Vincit) at a previous employer, so I knew he had a lot of experience in this area. I knew I could trust him.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $26,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started discussions in April, and launchd the app in July. App development can be a lengthy, painful process, but this project felt much faster than four months.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Version 1 is available in the app store now. We’ve had very few crash reports, account creation is solid, and feedback has been good. Apps like this can be difficult to debug, so we’re happy we haven’t needed any hotfixes or updates because of issues. Everything was built to our specifications, and though we’re still early in product development, I’d categorize this a success.
How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?
The timeline was well communicated. They were understanding of any questions, working points, or sanity checks we had. Brian and the engineer always got back to us within a day. Their responsiveness never lapsed, especially at the end when we were debugging the system. They wanted to finish the project as much as we did, but never skimped or cut corners. They gave us a solid product, and they delivered it when we needed it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understood our brand and were excited about it. We’re not their biggest client, but they weren’t just checking the boxes. They saw our potential, and their interest in us added value to the process.
Advice for potential customers?
Have a firm idea before you enter any engagement. If you don’t, your costs will go up. Also, be open to Vincit’s feedback.

Managing Partner, Creative Communications Agency
- Industry: Business services

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Oct 27, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Although Vincit delivered attractive, functional products, their project management would benefit from more centralized control. The developers’ communication during the process was good, but they could improve on anticipating and warning of potential difficulties within individual projects.
""At the end of the day, Vincit goes the extra mile to make sure that our clients are satisfied."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a managing partner at a creative communications agency. We specialize in social content, public relations, and solving communications challenges.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

Our agency does not have onsite web development capabilities, so we were looking to contract out that work.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built websites from the ground up, which has involved coding HTML5, creating custom CSS, developing on WordPress, and building databases. The work itself varies from simpler things like a one-page scroller to more complex builds. Primarily, it has focused on microsite-based projects that are small to medium in scale, with our team providing the creative side to every project.

What is the team dynamic?

We work with the development team directly. Vincit assigns us a group of developers, and since they are a relatively small shop, we have predominantly worked with the same people.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Our team wanted to diversify where we sourced our web development work, and another client referred Vincit. After giving them a trial project, we have returned to them two to three more times.

How much have you invested with them?

Anywhere between $8,000 to $30,000 per project, depending on the functionality and scope.

What is the status of this engagement?

It began in October or November 2016, and it is still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

For the most part, deadlines were met, and if one is going to be missed, they provided a warning and an adjusted timeline. However, their project management would benefit from designating a specific point person rather than relying on the developers to communicate as well as create the deliverables. Considering that the team does both right now, they are quite responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have been helpful in terms of figuring out and optimizing user flows, as well as providing solutions for improving site functionality. When a project that we were planning or building was not operating properly or a third party tool was not integrating as expected, they put in the time, effort, and manpower needed to solve our problems. At the end of the day, Vincit goes the extra mile to make sure that our clients are satisfied.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In addition to the need for a specific point person mentioned above, they would benefit from being able to better predict potential problem areas in individual projects. If there is anything that might hamper the development or build phases, they should provide us warnings about possible complications and solutions in advance. That will allow us to be better prepared when there are actual errors, rather than having them contact us as the problem is happening.

**The Review** — Sep 13, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Vincit has a passion and creativity for their work that is unmatched. The quality of their staff is second-to-none, and everyone on Vincit's team shares the same excitement for the projects they work on. The client values their partnership and is looking forward to working together in the future.
""They live and breathe their clients and make sure they promote what they’re doing.."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a video production and online marketing agency. I’m the president and founder.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Vincit?

With us being a marketing agency, a lot of clients come to us for one thing but then start expanding and wanting other things that we don’t offer. We went to Vincit to partner with them to offer more services to our clients.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We send all of our engineering work for web development and mobile app development to them. We’ve also used them for branding and design. We are currently working on two or three projects with them where our team is providing the content through video and photography and their team is doing the branding and website.

They’re pretty open and have recommendations if someone is starting from scratch. They are a good asset for us because when clients come to us as an established business, they might have an e-commerce platform that they’ve already built. They may want to rebrand it and add technology to it and Vincit will work on anything and figure it out even if they’re not familiar with the backend.

What is the team dynamic?

Dalip is the founder and was my main contact and lead developer when we started working with them. They were smaller then. As they’ve grown on the development side, we’re working closely with Sohrob, who is their senior developer. Randy is their creative director and we work closely with him on the branding and design side.

How did you come to work with Vincit?

Dalip developed a website for a music festival that I was doing the video work for. Our clients introduced us to each other. We have worked with other agencies over the years. This is the first agency that we decided to partner with. We trusted them because of the experience we had with them. We weren’t looking to partner like that, but it became that way as we worked on more projects.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve done projects for a couple thousand but a larger project would be $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them for three or four years.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve never had any complaints about their work. Their quality, creativity, and passion behind their work are great. There’s a reason we work with them and not someone else. They’re awesome with development. They have a whole team in Irvine, CA. If we have a client who has a smaller budget and they need to outsource some of the work, they’re great at managing that. They’ll outsource some work to keep the cost down and then they clean it up in Irvine.

How did Vincit perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve hit everything. They’re really good at letting us know if there’s going to be a delay because of technology or something else. They’re also expanding right now which has also helped. They added an account manager over the last three or four months and another manager a month ago. They’re ramping up to be able to handle the work their clients are giving them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re super passionate. They’re picky about their clients; they have to be a good fit. It shows because their whole team all the way down to the junior social media manager is really excited about their clients and act as advocates. We sent them a project for a phone case, and now every person in the office is using that phone case. They live and breathe their clients and make sure they promote what they’re doing. Even on social media, they post about the updates they create. It’s almost like you’re getting free marketing when you hire them to build a website.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve been close to the team. They’re smart and fixing all the problems before they happen. They’re growing and figuring it all out.
