Creating a Company Profile
Creating a company profile is a 5-step process that takes 20-minutes or less.
1. Create a user account by clicking "sign in" in the upper right corner of our site. Sign in through LinkedIn.
2. Begin creating your company profile by selecting, "Create Company Profile."
3. Share the following information about your company to help prospective clients determine whether your services are a good fit:
- Company name
- Number of employees
- Minimum project size and average hourly rate
- Website URL
- Contact information
- Overview of your company
- Case studies/portfolio items that personify the customers you work with
4. Identify the percent (out of 100%) that your firm focuses on services specific to your industry. (Please consider your top 3-5 services.)
5. Submit client references.

1. Submit More Client References
We weigh number, quality, and recency of reviews in our ranking methodology. Our research shows that doubling the number of client reviews can increase a company’s visibility on Clutch by 60% or more.
We encourage companies to use Clutch as a feedback pipeline: You complete a project, you submit the client reference, we create and publish the review for you.
2. Identify 3-5 Main Services Lines
List the services you specialize in to attract qualified leads. Buyers visit Clutch to find a particular service, so highlighting the main services you offer will make it easier for potential customers to find you.
3. Be Transparent & Honest
Be transparent and honest with the information you share in your profile. We confirm location and business size through LinkedIn.

Review Over the Phone
Phone reviews are best for projects over $25,000. Phone reviews take 15-20 minutes and are conducted by a Clutch analyst.
Phone Review 5-step Process
- Company submits client references or a client schedules an interview with an analyst
- Clutch analyst and client talk for 15-20 minutes, and the call is recorded and transcribed
- Clutch analyst edits the transcribed interview for length and clarity
- Clutch analyst publishes the review to a company’s profile
- Clutch analyst sends client his/her review and provides a 3-day window to request edits
Online reviews are best for projects under $25,000. We have custom review forms for each industry.
Companies have a unique link in their company profile, which they can send to their clients to encourage them to leave a review.
Clients also can review a company from our main review form.
We collect reviews online and over the phone. You can leave a review by scheduling a call with a Clutch analyst or using our online review form.
Phone reviews are best for projects over $25,000 and online reviews are best for projects under $25,000.
If a company is not listed on Clutch but fits our research categories, we will create a profile for the company and publish your feedback. Reach out to a Clutch analyst if you cannot find the company you want to review.
Yes! We encourage you to update your review if your experience working with the service provider changes substantially, for better or for worse.
An update to your original review is published as an update, not as a new review. Your original comments will not be removed or altered in any way, but the star ratings are subject to change.
If you're requesting a small change, please provide the information within 3 business days of being notified that your review is published.
Clutch analysts use your client’s contact information to schedule a phone call. Analysts interview your clients over the phone, transcribe the conversation, edit it for length and clarity, and publish the conversation to your profile as a review.
For projects under $25,000, a company can direct their clients to an online review form.
Every client has the option to keep their review anonymous, if they prefer. We never share any client contact information.
Phone reviews take roughly 1 week to transcribe, edit, and publish to a company profile. If you are curious about the status of a review, reach out to your Clutch analyst.
Reviews that violate our Terms of Service include:
- Misrepresentation of the reviewer's experience
- Inappropriate content
Sponsorship does not influence the publication or removal of reviews. We do not arbitrate disputes.
When a negative review is published to your profile, your Clutch analyst will notify you via email. You will be given the option to submit an addendum that is published under the original review.
Online Review Process
Reviewers must sign in to Clutch via LinkedIn in order to submit an online review. The reviewer’s LinkedIn profile, email address, and contact information are used to verify the review.
If the review cannot be verified, a Clutch analyst will contact the reviewer via email to notify them.
The online form takes roughly 15-20 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity of the project. Once the review is submitted, our team will begin to process the content.
Online reviews are typically published within 2-3 business days, but can take up to 1 week, at times. If it has been over 1 week since your review was submitted and you have not heard from a Clutch analyst, contact [email protected].
If the review cannot be verified via LinkedIn, if there is a conflict of interest, or if the review does not contain enough content, the review will not be published on Clutch. Reviewers will be notified via email if their review does not qualify for publishing.

Yes! After starting the review, you have the option to “Save & Exit” to revisit and complete the form later. The review will not be processed until you have completed all required sections and clicked “Submit Review.”
Yes! Once your review has been published, a Clutch analyst will reach out to you with a link to the review. You will be able to view your edited review and have 3 business days to request edits.

Using Clutch is free for both buyers and sellers of business services. But, for sellers of business services with a company profile on Clutch, we offer two advertising options to increase visibility on reviews pages: sponsorship and pay-per-click ads.
Sponsors are companies that purchased a sponsorship package. Sponsors are listed above non-sponsors on reviews pages but do not receive preferential treatment in our rankings.
Priority listings through sponsorship only apply to reviews pages. They are not reflected in Leaders Matrix ratings.
We are always transparent about which companies sponsor reviews pages by adding a “Sponsor” flag to the company profile. Site visitors can filter each reviews page by Clutch Rank to see companies listed according to their rank in the Leaders Matrix.
