Recommendations:
Go for it and don’t think twice. Out of all the hosting services I have researched GoDaddy is the least expensive and offers the most features. I would recommend however that they push up the installation date until after they have completed an expansion of their business if one is being planned.
Experience:
We are currently opening a second location in the Chicago area. Our expansion plans include a more dynamic and physical online presence. Go daddy's flat monthly rate offered an extremely modest price for us to explore this new area of development. From the conversations I have had with my peers, GoDaddy has the power to scale my business as it grows. This selection also solves a common problem in my industry and that is time management. The one click app addresses this problem. The security features in go daddy also addresses a common and consistent concern of every business owner. The 24-hour support is used quite frequently by our staff. We also utilize a feature which allows us to design specific 404 error pages which is hoped to give our developing website a personal touch. One feature we have thankfully not had to utilize is the backup and disaster recovery but just the fact that it exists gives me added peace of mind when I’m locking up to go home each night. As you can imagine these last few months have been very demanding times for our business not only because of the hardware and software changes but the opening of a second location. Through these times I can say the performance of go daddy has made these transitions much less stressful simply because this program has performed flawlessly. Through the learning curve...and make no mistake, there is always a learning curve when installing and hardware or software. The excellent performance of go daddy coupled with the professionalism and technical savvy of their 24-hour support staff has added to my confidence that the changes related to our business expansion will fall into place to ensure greater profitability in the coming years.
Pros:
The fact that it is amazingly user-friendly. This may sound like a simple answer but in the midst of what could be described as occasional chaos, having a well-functioning business tool that is user friendly frees up time that would otherwise be used searching through user manuals and making phone calls to the support center in search of answers, I would easily call this a blessing!
Cons:
The WordPress set up is quite intimidating. They include a skimpy amount of email. They also offer a confusing set of packages, two main web hosting packages divided into three plans. Also, the control panel screens are pretty cluttered with information, links, and hidden menus.
