Keep doing what you are doing. Don't change. Maintain the streamlined and easy to access approach because I believe that is an underrated advantage. Keep it simple, yet functional and don't over-complicate things.

Experience:

Our organization mainly picked Dropbox as our main data backup provider because simply Dropbox is very easy to navigate and very streamlined; the site is simple yet functional. The installation process was a breeze to set up. As an added bonus it is not overly cluttered and complicated, but instead, it is aesthetically pleasant to the eye. That was not the main factor in deciding our choice, but it was the cherry on top. In addition, most of our employees were already accustomed to Dropbox as it has been their primary store method prior to us selecting Dropbox as a choice. There was little to no learning curve for our employees because they already knew how to navigate the interface. Of course, we use the standard sync feature where all our files are automatically backed up on a secondary server. We very much rely on the increased security in hopes of preventing any data leaks. Also in group project/interactions, we sometimes use the advanced collaboration tools to work on our projects without having to be on site physically. It has performed as what it has stated. Everything it claims it does works as stated or more. It is very simple to use which is very important because there is no learning curve. Dropbox has helped serve our data management needs without the need of over complicating things and setting up things is a breeze. It gives our organization the peace of mind of managing our data and files in an organized system with a robust security implementation. We are effortlessly able to share files between workers.

Pros:

What sets it apart from other providers I believe is the simplicity of the interface, navigation, and management. It provides stress-free data and file management without the usual business technicalities and complications. As simple as a benefit as that is I believe that is what makes Dropbox a leader in the backup business. Having said that, by no means does the simplicity diminish the functionality potential that the company can provide.

Cons:

Honestly, I do not really have any pet peeves about Dropbox. I am satisfied with their service and additional features they add can only get better for me at this point. Our company expectations from Dropbox are not too high. We just want something that can help us manage our files on a macro level and do what it states and that is what Dropbox does.

Get it! Make it work for you. There are plenty of features that will make your job easier and with the support, you can work through any other issues.

Experience:

We have multiple locations across the country and needed to be able to share the same contracts at every location. Also, because we provide a service to nationwide companies we needed to share client information that would otherwise be unavailable. We use team folder manager, groups, and permissions. We can instantly share contracts and client profiles, the is important to us because of our business process. Dropbox and made our sales department more efficient than before in sharing information and immediately updating changes.

Pros:

Instantly updating information between locations, file sharing, security features are okay

Cons:

This is a tough question because from my position it works ok I just hear negativity from the IT department. I am able to perform my responsibility just fine

Make sure you have a main Dropbox and then send out referrals to Dropbox from that account to your employees to then create their own work drop box account.

Experience:

We needed storage fast and they offered a small amount of free storage and then also offered additional free storage if you did a few extra things. It was fast and easy. But, we still needed storage and didn't have the funds to pay for it. So we had to create multiple accounts and separate our content. It was easy to organize with folders and subfolders etc. We upload files to save on the online storage account. As well as using the add folder to organize into classes/categories to easily locate what we need in the future. We also then use the download feature. Dropbox has performed very well. We only have had a few problems with not enough storage and not being able to download files or find them. It has benefited our company by saving us money and freeing up space in our office and computers. It has made us organized and use less paper and save some trees.

Pros:

The free storage so you can save space on your computer so it still runs fast and efficient and not slower due to the about of stuff stored on the computer drive. It's helpful to store on Dropbox and free up space.

Cons:

I wish you could do more tasks or something to earn more free storage data or have unlimited storage available for free or a small fee.

We actually recommend Dropbox to all of our clients. They have very strict record keeping requirements and we believe Dropbox fills a void that can be left when they manage paper files exclusively.

Experience:

We spend a lot of time in the field visiting client sites and we needed a centralized space for all of our documents. We provide reports not only to our clients but to banks, federal agencies, and state agencies. Our clients must have 5 years’ worth of data and many of them rely on us to assist them in complying. Dropbox was the most effective way to manage our files. We love previous versions can be restored as it saves us a lot of work sometimes. We have Dropbox installed on our phones and our computers, and we use the website login when at a client site. We have 1 terabyte of data so we have plenty of room for our files. We send files through Dropbox and at times review files directly on Dropbox without downloading. It has been a huge help. We don't have to hunt down files anymore, and we often just refer to the folder a file was saved to do that we don't have to even email files anymore. It's also a huge help with some of our clients' data which at times can be very large files we couldn't email if we wanted to.

Pros:

It's incredibly easy to use. Most of the time it just feels like a regular folder on my computer, and even the website and the app are straightforward. I also like that we can tell who accessed a file and when as it helps with concerns about who worked on a project.

Cons:

Sometimes pdfs won't open directly on the website. It will give me a flash update message even though I have all of the required updates. That means I have to download the file even if I am on someone else's computer which is annoying but I'm not even sure if that's Dropbox or some other issue. I honestly can't think of any other cons.

I would definitely recommend Dropbox as an easy and cost effective solution for a company’s storage needs.

Experience:

We needed something for our dealer network to be able to access large files easily. With ease, we are able to add files our dealers need to access in the field. The features we utilized the most with Dropbox is file sharing. We can drop files so others can have access at their fingertips. It has performed very well. We are able to send larger files via email which normally would have size limitations using Dropbox.

Pros:

The greatest benefit is able to send large files to our dealers in the field. They, in turn, are able to help their customers quicker and more efficiently.

Cons:

The biggest con is the lack of user support for Dropbox. If I have an issue I would like help with the touch of a button.

Our organization runs smoothly and efficiently with dropbox as all employees can send and receive data anywhere, on any device, anytime its needed. This has been a valuable tool since our workers drive to and from 9 different sites to meet with our clients. We use all features within our organization. It’s easy to access and user-friendly. Dropbox has benefitted our organization by saving us time and gas traveling from site to site to gather client information.

Pros:

Dropbox is a great tool because we can access all our clients' files from anywhere we are.

Cons:

Dropbox is great and meets all of our organization’s needs.

If you are looking for something that is cost effective and easy to use Dropbox is the way to go!

Experience:

We decided on Dropbox after looking into a few other storage options. The main reason we chose Dropbox was the affordable cost and the fact that the three main components of the office team can access and edit community files with ease. This solved the issue of not being able to share information from paper files that were only in one office location. It also reduces the amount of waiting/rework because we can each view the files, we do not have to wait for the one person who has access and/or the physical file. The ability to create and share folders to store Microsoft word, excel and pdf files from any location. We have had no issues with Dropbox performance. Once all members were trained on it, in less than an hour, our process has streamlined. It saves us time, which ultimately saves us money and allows quick client support.

Pros:

Dropbox is easy to use for our team, even though range in age and technical ability, we are all able to use it with ease. Our favorite aspect is the ability to access the files from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Cons:

I don't dislike anything about Dropbox!

I would recommend an organization gave Dropbox a chance if they are shopping around for cloud storage. Never again do you have to worry about a lost email, misplaced file or erased voicemail. Everything can be communicated through Dropbox if an organization takes the time to educate its workforce.

Experience:

We use it due to the fact that this service comes equipped on many Windows 10 computer systems, it is easily available and offers clean access to Microsoft Word, which is a standard at our business, as with many other organizations. We use it for importing and exporting documents, sharing documents and editing documents as well. Dropbox has been great to use. It is easy to upload and share documents. The software is simple to use. It has benefited my organization because being able to access information from one central source has been super convenient for myself and my co-workers. None of us have to be concerned about losing a portable USB device which people often lose.

Pros:

What makes it a great tool is the sharing of documents. Gone are the days when one would check impatiently for email messages in order to retrieve attachments. With Dropbox, any document can be made available to you and you can come back to it with confidence because you know it has not been intercepted from your Spam or Junk folder.

Cons:

There is honestly nothing I dislike about Dropbox at this moment.

Recommendations:

Dropbox is a fantastic tool for businesses in sharing documents and storing/sending large files. However, as it does take up much space on a device like a tablet or a smartphone, I would advise that you keep only the large files that are necessary for a specific meeting or presentation on your device at a time.

Experience:

We selected Dropbox because it is the most discussed, most highly advertised version of cloud that we'd found. We found it was easy to use and easily transferred documents and large files across devices (Apple to PC, etc.). It is highly necessary for us to have extra amounts of space because we have to transfer video footage and the files tend to be much too large to transfer without a cloud. Up to now, the only problem we have had is a lack of space on the cloud but we have been using the free version and are likely to transfer to the paid version very soon as it is becoming a necessity. We use Dropbox to transfer video files, audio files, documents, photos. We also use Dropbox for its sharing capabilities, so our upper-level staff has access to important documents. It's great that our staff can update our documents when changes happen financially and we can see them as soon as they have been updated. Dropbox has been very useful. We use it often to share documents, videos, and audio files. It is useful to have the capability to see newly updated contracts or financial information as it's being updated.

Pros:

I love the option of being able to share with my staff members and to send large files, as we work with them often.

Cons:

The thing I find most frustrating is that the version of Dropbox I'm using now only allows so much space. Once I’ve transferred to a paid version, I’ll have more space in my Dropbox. That said, I would love to have the option to open whatever files I need that are in my Dropbox without having them constantly saved to my phone. They take up a lot of space on my phone but I need to have access to them when I'm out and about and I don't necessarily always have access to Wi-Fi.

I encourage every organization business to personal to consider Dropbox! IT is so easy to use! I work in an organization that is not necessarily equipped with the most technologically advanced staff. All our members are able to use Dropbox after their first sign in and we have yet to run into any problems with mastering the use of Dropbox. Other cloud storage and sharing programs seem difficult to use and require multiple uses before feeling comfortable, but not Dropbox!

Experience:

After careful research, Dropbox seemed the most user-friendly product that met our organization’s needs. Our staff is able to share files on demand, saving both time and energy! This allows us to focus more on our clients and less on emailing and file sharing! File sharing is the most important feature that we use in Dropbox. On any given day we might need to share over 80 to 100 important files that will enhance our client services. Having access at the touch of our hands allows us to focus on direct services to our clients! Dropbox is wonderful and so very easy to use! The benefits cannot be measured! I am able to share files at a moment’s notice and stay focused on client services and less time emailing and attaching !.

Pros:

Ease of use! That is what I like about Dropbox! There are step by step instructions given to you once you sign in for the first time! The amount of sharing is limitless! The user-friendly cloud program makes life so much better at a fast paced business that relies on sharing of information.

Cons:

I have yet to find something that I don't like about Dropbox. For the past nine months that I have used it, there has not been a single obstacle or problem!
