BGOcloud has helped resolve server capacity issues by implementing their cloud hosting solution. It's the perfect service for a small company's needs; they have no hidden costs and address any issues very quickly. 

Background

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of a supplier of global outsourced marketing research services. Around 40% of our clients are U.S. based, 55% are in Western Europe, and we have Russian clients too. We’re dedicated to programming online marketing research surveys and do 300–400 projects a month.

What challenge were you trying to address with BGOcloud?

We provided hosting for many of our users, and one of our software solutions was hosted on a server in our office. With the increase in the volume of work and the unreliability of the electricity grid in our office, we needed a solution. We had some hardware limitations and the noise the server was emitting was also an issue.

We decided to switch to the cloud because there would be no outage issues and we could increase volume. We work with service tickets and the ticketing system generates a lot of server volume as well. We definitely needed a viable solution, which BGOcloud provided.

Solution

On an annual or monthly basis, how much does your company spend to utilize the platform?

We’re on a fixed monthly plan which includes both the cloud usage plus the service on it. We spend €500 ($618) per month.

Was your company considering other platforms? Why this platform?

We were considering going Google Cloud, but for the volume we generate, it was very expensive and there were too many hidden costs. We couldn’t forecast the volume we needed.

What type of client is an ideal candidate? Who should possibly avoid these platforms?

My only point of view is that of a comparatively small company. I don’t know the needs of a large company with 2000–5000 employees, but for us, it works perfectly.

What cost factors should clients keep in mind when considering this tool?

There are no hidden costs.

What are the features or tools of the service that have most impressed you?

We haven’t had an outage and I’m impressed with their service. We had a little bit of downtime on the mail server, but it was fixed very quickly and didn’t cause any disruption. We work 24 hours so it’s very important to us that any type of restoration work gets done when we’re less busy.

Are there any areas of the software that could be added or improved upon?

Any documentation related to General Data Protection Regulation compliance would be very helpful.

Have you had to interact with the platform’s support team or reference their support resources?

Yes. We called by phone and had a solution within 20 minutes. We’re happy with their level of customer support.
